Chapter 5: Rise of the Elemental Lord
The moment Victor Lionheart unlocked his first talent, a surge of divine power erupted from within him.
[Master of the Elements – Unlocked!]
In an instant, the entire world changed.
Air shimmered with color. The ground pulsed with hidden energy. The sky breathed fire, water, earth, and lightning.
The elements were no longer distant forces of nature—they were his to command.
"I am the Master of Elements."
Victor wasted no time and immediately accessed the Class Selection Interface.
At level 10, players could choose one of three base classes: Warrior, Mage, or Cleric—the foundation of all future professions.
Each base class would unlock new specialization paths at levels 30, 50, 70, and beyond. In time, the class tree would branch into thousands of unique builds—Battle Mages, Flame Assassins, Ice Knights, Holy Blademasters, and more.
Victor didn't hesitate.
"Select: Mage."
The system responded.
"Congratulations! You are now a Mage!""Class stats adjusted. +0.5 Brain Power per level gained.""You have acquired: [Meditation] (No Grade) and [Fireball] (F-Rank)."
[Meditation] (No Grade): Improves brain power slightly after 10 minutes of daily meditation.[Fireball] (F-Rank): Condense fire elements and hurl a ball of flame, dealing light fire damage.
They might have sounded basic, but Victor knew better. In his previous life, the most powerful spellcasters were those who maximized even the most humble abilities—and now he had the Master of the Elements amplifying them.
Victor took out his four skill books and consumed them instantly:
[Scorching Ray]
[Summon Goblins]
[Rock Shield]
[Water Healing]
A swirl of white light merged into his consciousness. Arcane diagrams lit up in his mind. He could feel the power flow through his veins—he had become a true spellcaster.
He opened his updated panel:
[Name]: Victor Lionheart[Level]: 10[Base Strength]: 10[Base Constitution]: 10[Base Agility]: 10[Base Brain Power]: 10.5[Talents]:
Master of the Elements
Supreme Summoning
Super God Adaptation
Restriction Liberation
Infinite Firepower
Miracle Luck
Infinite Range
Supreme Treasure
Fake to True
God-Killing Plunder
[Skills]:
Meditation (Lv. 1)
Fireball (Lv. 1)
Scorching Ray (Lv. 1)
Summon Goblin (Lv. 1)
Rock Shield (Lv. 1)
Water Healing (Lv. 1)
"At level 30 in my last life, I wasn't even this strong," Victor muttered, eyes gleaming.
He sat cross-legged and activated [Meditation].
Ten minutes passed.
+0.1 Brain Power.
"Just 0.1?"But then he smiled."That's 36.5 points a year. Three hundred and sixty-five in ten. From meditation alone."
It was the ultimate long-term investment.
Victor stood up and stepped outside onto the quiet street. The city was still, blanketed in the last traces of red mist. Time to test what being the Master of the Elements really meant.
He extended his palm. A fireball formed.
It wasn't the small flicker it used to be. This one was silver-white, the size of a basketball, glowing with pure elemental rage.
"Let's see what you can do."
He hurled it down the avenue.
BOOM!
The explosion rocked the street. Flames surged outward in all directions. Asphalt melted into molten rock. Craters split open. A wave of searing heat knocked dust and debris into the air.
Victor blinked. There was zero brain power drain.
"I can cast this a hundred times without breaking a sweat."
The system pinged.
"Skill: [Fireball] has reached Level 3."
Already? Victor wasn't even surprised.
Master of the Elements had amplified the spell a hundredfold—meaning, in terms of proficiency, it was like casting a hundred fireballs at once. At this rate, it wouldn't take long to hit max level, where Fireball would evolve to include its explosive special effect.
He couldn't wait.
Just then, a strange sound echoed down the ruined street.
HSSSSSSSS…
Victor turned sharply toward the darkness.
A figure skittered across the distant buildings.
A claw scraped against metal.
A snarl echoed under the moonlight.
A monster.
The first of many.
The world had changed—and so had Victor Lionheart.
But the monsters weren't ready for what he'd become.
