Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Silent Eyes, Hidden Stars

Hidden Grove Behind the Academy — Konoha Year 66 (Age 6)

It was a place no one came to.

Too wild for children.

Too plain for training grounds.

But Rafael had chosen it for a reason.

Solitude.

It was here that the wind rustled like whispers and chakra flowed beneath the roots of forgotten trees.

And it was here that Hinata Hyuga stood, hands trembling, trying to hold the stance Rafael had taught her.

"Focus," he said from where he sat cross-legged atop a boulder. "Feel the world through your breath. Close your eyes if you must."

"I'm trying," she whispered, sweating despite the shade. "But I… I can't see chakra like Neji can."

"You will."

Her lips parted.

"I've studied your clan," Rafael said, voice calm. "The Byakugan is only the beginning."

Hinata looked at him. "You mean…?"

He nodded.

"Tenseigan."

---

Eyes of Gods, Seeded in Shame

"It's real," Rafael continued. "The ultimate evolution of the Byakugan. Divine perception. Total chakra control. Gravitational dominion."

Hinata shivered. "No one in our clan talks about it…"

"Because they fear it," Rafael replied. "They hide behind tradition and purity. But your blood isn't impure."

He stepped closer, pointing gently to her forehead.

"It's potential. Dormant. Sleeping."

"But how would I—?"

"You'll awaken it," Rafael said, eyes gleaming. "I'll make sure of it."

---

Training: Week Two

Each day began before dawn.

They met in silence. No greetings.

Only breathwork. Palm forms. Chakra threading.

And every day, Hinata grew sharper.

She stopped apologizing after missing her strikes.

Stopped hesitating when attacking tree trunks.

She no longer recoiled from his eyes.

And Rafael watched.

Not just her body.

But her chakra.

He'd memorized its rhythm. The pattern of her strikes. The flaws in her control.

He saw the signs.

A dormant seed, flickering faintly behind her eyes.

Like something vast locked in a cage.

She had the potential.

All she lacked was pressure.

He was playing the long game.

But she was worth it.

Not just for her eyes.

But because she followed.

And in a world built on hierarchy and hatred… that was rare.

Reflecting on the Trait — The Protagonist

He activated his status mentally.

And there it was.

A whisper only he could see. A list of absurdities burned into his very fate.

---

«The Protagonist» — Trait Menu

> Eyes of Truth – The more he stared at the world, the more it unraveled. Every pattern, every lie, eventually exposed. From the flow of chakra in civilians, to the hidden paths in clan compounds.

> Photographic Memory – He remembered everything. Every scroll he skimmed. Every jutsu he wasn't supposed to see. It became his. Forever.

> Memorable Visage – He'd seen it already. The way teachers paused when speaking to him. The way random shinobi whispered after meeting him once. The Hyuga Elders still remembered his eyes.

> Blind Luck – He didn't believe it at first. Until a stolen scroll dropped out of a tree into his hands. Until Hinata "accidentally" overheard a conversation about ancient Hyuga techniques and told him.

> Plot Armor – He hadn't used it yet. But he felt it. Like a second heartbeat—waiting for the moment everything went wrong.

> Chosen Extras

> Slots Used: 1 / 5

✔ Hinata Hyuga – Progressing rapidly

(Candidates: Karin Uzumaki, Mikoto Uchiha, Konan… )

> Deus Ex Machina – His last line. If all else failed. A literal cheat that could warp reality. One he'd save for death or dominion.

> Chosen One – He saw it now. How everything seemed to bend. Danzo's attention. The Hyuga's unrest. Even Hiruzen's casual interest. Fate was dragging him to center stage.

> Save Point – Unused. He'd set it soon. Probably the night before the Uchiha Massacre.

> Protagonist's Bookmark – One of his favorites. He'd already Bookmarked Hiashi Hyuga. Soon, he'd Bookmark someone else: Uchiha Itachi.

Future Vision: Konoha Year 67 — The Uchiha Massacre

Rafael stood at the top of a small shrine, wind tousling his dark hair.

Hinata sat beside him, exhausted from sparring.

He stared at the moon.

"Next year," he said quietly. "Everything will change."

Hinata blinked. "What do you mean?"

"The Uchiha. They're going to fall."

Her eyes widened.

"But why?"

"Politics. Fear. Control." His tone didn't change. "And Itachi will be the blade."

He turned to her.

"I'm going to be there."

"W-why?"

He looked past her. Into the village.

"To steal their fire."

---

Internal Monologue: Uchiha Plans

> I'll Bookmark Itachi before the massacre.

At the peak of his power—one minute is all I'll need.

I'll access the Sharingan's experiences, the pain, the precognition.

Then… I'll leave. Silent. Untouched.

And the massacre will go on, but I'll carry its legacy in my veins.

One day, I'll awaken it myself. My way.

And it will never belong to the Uchiha again.

Final Training Scene

Hinata struck again.

This time, she connected.

A precise palm against Rafael's ribs.

He stepped back, surprised.

She gasped. "I-I didn't mean—"

He chuckled.

"Good."

She froze.

"You're not the same girl I saved."

Her eyes widened.

"You're becoming something greater."

She looked down, a blush rising.

"Rafael-kun…"

He didn't respond. Just turned toward the path back to the village.

"We'll rest tonight. Tomorrow, we train again."

And she followed.

No hesitation.
