Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Hidden Quest Accepted—Krillin Goes Live!

In the past, Whitebeard never gave much thought to his own aging or illness. He had always relied on his immense strength and willpower to carry him through any battle, no matter the odds. But after this latest clash, he could no longer ignore the toll that time and sickness had taken on him.

This battle had made one thing painfully clear—his body could no longer keep up with the demands of war.

"If I were younger," he thought bitterly, "I would have had the confidence to kill Akainu with my own hands."

But now, in his current state, he could only dream of such power. At best, he could inflict some damage—but not enough to win.

And so, if Akainu was to be slain as vengeance for Ace, that responsibility would have to fall on someone else… someone younger, stronger, and far more mysterious.

He looked at the young man before him. He didn't know his name, his origin, or what kind of power he held—but he had just seen him casually slap away Kizaru's light-speed attack as if it were nothing. That kind of strength was beyond comprehension.

Whitebeard took a deep breath. "If anyone can kill Akainu… it's him."

He didn't hesitate. Ace had been saved—that was enough for now. The future, and any revenge it might hold, could be left to someone else. Even Ace, strong as he was, likely wouldn't reach the level necessary to defeat Akainu.

After all, Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit was inherently weaker than Akainu's Magma-Magma Fruit. The difference in hierarchy between the two fruits made it even harder for Ace to ever surpass his enemy.

But this stranger had just declared that he would help Whitebeard end the war—and he even asked what Whitebeard wanted.

So, with a calm and heavy heart, Whitebeard passed the task to him. He entrusted Akainu's fate to this unknown warrior.

If it had been in the past, he never would have considered such a move. He would have fought to the death with his own hands.

But now, after witnessing the youth's overwhelming power, he had hope—maybe, just maybe, this man could finish what Whitebeard could not.

"Ding! Congratulations to the group member for successfully accepting the hidden mission!"

---

[Hidden Quest Activated]

Objective: Defeat Akainu and pacify the war on Marineford.

The moment Whitebeard made his request, Krillin's hidden mission was triggered and accepted by the system.

---

Sun Wukong: "Is it really okay to kill your opponent for a mission?"

Vegeta: "@SunWukong, Kakarot, if you feel uncomfortable with these types of missions, then you shouldn't try to take them in the future. If the client asks you to kill someone and you can't bring yourself to do it, then not only will you fail, but it'll reflect badly on our group as professionals. That's not just a small issue—it's a huge embarrassment!"

Beerus: "Vegeta's got a point. @SunWukong, if you're going to hesitate like this, maybe just avoid competitive missions altogether."

Sun Wukong: "…I see…"

Piccolo: "@SunWukong, Goku, don't stress too much. Not every mission is going to involve killing someone. Some might just ask us to defeat an opponent, stop a problem, or lend support to the client."

Piccolo: "And when it comes to enemies like Majin Buu—those who threaten entire worlds—it's totally justified."

Master Roshi: "Yeah, Goku, think about King Piccolo or Buu—you defeated both of them when there was no other choice. Sometimes you have to do what's necessary."

Sun Wukong: "You're right, Piccolo, Grandpa Roshi. I understand now."

---

King Zeno: "@Group Owner Jack, hey Jack! Since you invited me to this chat group to keep me from being bored, can you show me what's happening in this other world?"

King Zeno: "If people are going to do missions in other worlds and I can't watch, then I'm still bored!"

Jack: "If you want to see what's going on, the person doing the mission has to start a livestream. That's the only way."

Sun Wukong: "@Krillin, Krillin! Could you start a livestream? We all want to see what's happening over there!"

Krillin: "Sure, give me a moment."

Krillin quickly found a safe place to set up, then activated the livestream.

Within seconds, everyone in the group chat was watching as a new window opened, showing the chaotic battlefield of Marineford in real time.

---

King Zeno: "Wow! So this is another world? Looks super exciting!"

Grand Priest: "It seems like this world is currently at war."

Vegeta: "Tch, that's it? When we Saiyans used to conquer planets, the destruction was far more intense."

Sun Wukong: "@Vegeta, come on, that's not something to brag about. The constant warfare and destruction were exactly why the Saiyans got wiped out."

Vegeta: "Kakarot! Don't forget—it was Frieza who destroyed Planet Vegeta, not our warmongering!"

Sun Wukong: "Still, if the Saiyans hadn't joined Frieza in the first place, things might have been different."

Whis: "About the destruction of the Saiyans…"

Beerus: clears throat "Whis, you know what to say and what not to say."

Whis: "Oh, of course, Lord Beerus. I wasn't going to reveal anything."

---

Piccolo: "Hey, has anyone else noticed something about Krillin's mission?"

Piccolo: "The objective isn't just to kill Akainu. It's actually divided into two parts."

Piccolo: "Look closely. It clearly says: 'Kill Akainu and pacify the war.' That means stopping the war is just as important."

Krillin: "Yeah, I saw that too. Killing Akainu is just Whitebeard's personal request. The actual hidden mission is to stop the entire war."

Krillin: "So technically, even if I don't kill Akainu, as long as I can bring an end to the war, I'll still complete the mission."

---

Everyone in the group went silent as they considered this new angle.

It wasn't just about bloodshed. There was a deeper goal—peace, or at least the end of chaos.

Beerus: "Hmph, pacifying a war might be harder than killing one man."

Vegeta: "Depends. If Krillin defeats Akainu in front of everyone, it might crush the Navy's morale and bring things to a close."

Whis: "Or perhaps Krillin will find another method… something beyond simple combat."

King Zeno: "Oooh! I want to see how he does it! I'm so excited!"

Jack: "Don't worry, Zeno. The stream is up. Just enjoy the show."

As the livestream continued, the group watched with growing curiosity. Krillin now stood at the center of one of the most pivotal wars in the Pirate World's history. Battles raged around him. Marines clashed with pirates. Giants fell, ships burned, and the ground itself shook from powerful techniques.

And yet, Krillin stood calm and resolute, watching everything unfold.

---

Krillin (thinking): So this is the battlefield where history was rewritten. The war that determined the balance of power across the sea.

If I want to finish this mission, I need to stop this war. But how…?

His eyes moved from Whitebeard to Akainu, then across to the gathered Marine Admirals and pirate captains.

This was no simple fight. It was a web of grudges, duty, pride, and vengeance. Killing one person might not be enough.

But Krillin wasn't just any warrior. He was a member of a multiverse-spanning group of elite fighters, and he'd accepted the hidden mission.

Now, it was time to show the Pirate World just what kind of legend he could become.
