Synopsis
Six years ago, Lydia Miles was betrayed by the one man she called father and thrown into the pits of ruin. To save her dying mother, she knelt before a mysterious man in the shadows. "Sir, please help me. I swear… I’ll repay you with everything I have." That night changed everything. She gave him one night. The she disappeared without a trace. Now, six years later… the once-feared Second Young Master of the Gordon family is a ghost of his former self, lying in silence with only a five-year-old child by his side. Cold, lifeless, untouchable. Until she returned. Veiled in secrets and cloaked in grace, Lydia walks into the Gordon manor, rips down the public marriage announcement, and declares before all: "I’ll marry Gordon Chase." The world laughed. "A shameless gold digger!" "A washed-up woman daring to dream!" "A widow-to-be!" But when scoundrels came knocking, she fought them off with one hand, and protected the little boy with the other. Then, just days after their mysterious marriage… The devil woke up. Eyes like frost, voice like thunder, he roared: "Who dares to touch my timid little wife?" And suddenly, the world was on its knees. CEOs, elites, even old enemies trembled as they pleaded, "Second Young Master! Please… let the Second Young Mistress forgive us!" But Lydia had her own secrets, secrets even he couldn’t predict. One night, he pinned her against the wall, voice low and dangerous: "You're so capable… Tell me, what else are you hiding from me?" She smiled sweetly. "I’m the mother of your three children." His pupils shrank. "Three?" She leaned in. "You only met one, darling. The other two… are exactly like you." She smirks. "Triplets. Congratulations, Daddy."

Chapter 1 - I Will Definitely Repay You in the Future

A luxurious villa on the outskirts of the empire.

The large bedroom was dark, yet the air was thick with an intimate atmosphere.

Abby Brooks lay flat on the comfortable bed, suddenly feeling a weight press down on her, tightening around her waist.

"Sir, are you really willing to give me a million dollars?" she asked cautiously, instinctively gripping the man's hand as she sensed his presence.

"We both get what we need. You won't be short a single dollar," the man's voice was deep and magnetic, so pleasing it could make ears swoon.

"But I need the money urgently. I can't wait even a day," Abby's voice was hoarse from desperation.

A week ago, her mother had a car accident.

The doctors worked tirelessly for three days to save her, but her mother's brain was severely injured. The doctors said she needed brain surgery or she could pass away at any moment.

Abby was the second daughter of Brooks & Co., living a life of luxury where a million-dollar check was just a signature away.

But her father, Roger Brooks, had suddenly frozen her bank account, leaving her unable to access a single penny.

Not only that, Roger had said that her mother's life was too painful, and death would be the best relief for her.

He even told the doctors he was willing to stop treatment.

How could Abby just stand by and watch her mother die without trying to save her?

No matter how much she pleaded with her father, he refused to help her mother, even threatening to kick her out of the Brooks family if she dared mention saving her mother again.

Her father's cold indifference left her angry and helpless, forcing her down this path.

She waited for the man's response, fearing he might be angry.

"I'm sorry, I really need the money. I'll repay you someday," she pleaded, her voice trembling with tears.

"The money will be ready soon. I am Gordon Chase, the second son of the Empire's Gordon family. I need a child. Would you be willing to have one for me? Once we confirm you're pregnant in a month, you'll need to stay here until the baby is born. After the birth, I'll give you an additional reward."

His words were formal, each sentence delivered like a statement. His tone was indifferent, not threatening, yet she found herself unable to argue.

He actually told her his name. Wasn't he worried she'd cling to him later?

"I'll have the child for you. Thank you. But I won't take any extra reward." A million was life-saving money for her right now. She was willing to do anything for it.

"Alright."

Abby Brooks calmly released his arm, quietly waiting for what was to come next. Her scent was pleasant, like a perfume, yet naturally fresh. It was captivating, alluring.

The man's kisses started gentle but gradually grew passionate...hard and intense pleasure.

Afterward, the man drifted into sleep.

Abby got up, dressed, and slipped out of the bedroom, only to realize she left her coat behind. She hurried back.

The light from outside the room cast a glow on the man's handsome face, and she couldn't help but steal another glance.

The man was incredibly handsome, his features so perfectly crafted they seemed like they were sculpted by God himself, flawless in every way.

Abby Brooks rushed downstairs in the villa, where a middle-aged man, who called himself "Uncle Henry," handed her a check for a million dollars.

She took the money and immediately went to the hospital, where Uncle Henry had also arranged for a caregiver for her mother.

A month later, the obstetrician confirmed she was pregnant. She had to stay in the villa as agreed for the duration of her pregnancy, but at least her mother's condition had stabilized.

Eight months later, she suddenly received a call from her mother. The conversation was abruptly cut off before her mother could finish speaking.

Abby couldn't stick to the agreement she had with Gordon Chase. She secretly left the villa alone, without telling Uncle Henry.

When she arrived at her mother's hospital room, it was empty, but the floor was a mess—as if a struggle had taken place.

"Mom..." Abby anxiously searched for her mother in the hallway, only to be grabbed and have her mouth covered by someone at the corner.

"Shh..." Her mother, Olivia, gestured for her to stay quiet, her body sliding weakly down the wall.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Abby supported her mother's body, feeling something sticky in her palm. When she opened her hand, she realized it was covered in crimson blood. "Why are you bleeding so much?"

"Abby, listen to me... You have to hear every word clearly," Olivia said, gripping Abby's arm, holding on with her last breath.

"You weren't... born to Roger Brooks. I'm... not Olivia. My name is... Your real father is Terrence Miles. He's from Los City... You need to go, find him, leave... now."

Olivia murmured painfully, blood spilling from her mouth, her breathing growing weaker.

"Mom, what are you talking about? I'll get a doctor for you, you'll be okay."

"Don't go," Olivia pleaded, desperately holding onto her. "You have to leave. Roger Brooks will... kill you..."

From the other end of the hallway, urgent footsteps echoed.

"That stupid woman took a knife to the waist; she can't have gone far. We must find her," said a woman's voice, which Abby Brooks recognized as her father's friend, Rose May.

"The hospital isn't that big. Where could she possibly go? Mom, call Dad and have him send more people," followed the voice of Abby's older sister, Grace Brooks.

Abby was confused hearing her sister call Aunt May "Mom." What was going on?

"She's here..."

A bodyguard spotted Olivia in the emergency stairwell.

Olivia forcefully pushed her daughter into the nearby electrical room and whispered, "No matter what you hear or see, don't come out."

"Mom..." Abby naturally wanted to protest, but her emotions were too intense. Her stomach cramped painfully, and she felt her skirt getting damp.

Olivia was dragged into the hallway by the bodyguards.

"Olivia, where do you think you're going? To find your illegitimate daughter? Roger and I were willing to spare your life, but you just had to regain your memory and remember your past.

What now? You want to give all the Brooks Family's wealth to Abby, that bastard child?"

"Where is Abby Brooks?" Rose May snarled, pulling Olivia's hair viciously as she interrogated her.

"Ever since I was hospitalized, you've been watching me closely. You know where she is better than I do, don't you?" Olivia was forced to lift her chin, her gaze indifferent as she stared defiantly at the disgusting mother-daughter duo.

"Still got a smart mouth, huh?" Rose May snapped, slapping Olivia across the face. "Once I catch her..."
