It was 11:00 at night. A man, covered in blood, was running through the streets of Italy. His entire body was wounded, and he was terrified.
Even though his legs were injured, he kept running. Suddenly, a car came in front of him. His eyes widened with fear, not because it was a car, but because he saw his death before him.
He turned and tried to run the other way, but another car blocked that path too. Now he was panicking. There were cliffs on either side of him, and he had no escape. He was completely surrounded.
Tears welled up in his eyes from fear.
Men dressed entirely in black, with masks on their faces, stepped out of the cars. They surrounded him.
Then another car arrived and came to a halt. A man stepped out, wearing a sleek black tuxedo. His face was covered with a mask too, and his eyes were cold as ice. Another man, likely his assistant, was with him.
Seeing this man, the terrified man dropped to his knees. The god of death stood before him.
Realizing there was no way out, he grabbed the man's feet and begged,
Boss, please forgive me. I'll never make this mistake again. Just this once, please let me go.
But the man shook his foot loose with disgust and kicked him hard.
You can only make mistakes if you live to make them.
Leonardo Bruno could tolerate many things but not betrayal.
He gave a signal to his assistant. As soon as the assistant, Marco, got the signal, he began beating the man mercilessly.
He didn't stop until the man took his last breath.
The man couldn't survive Marco's blows and died on the spot.
After confirming the death, Adhiraj calmly said, Dispose of the body. Not a single trace should remain.
"Marco nodded," Yes, sir.
Leonardo left, and Marco handled the aftermath. He had the body thrown into the nearby gorge and then quietly left the scene.
