After a night's rest, I felt much better. My body didn't hurt as much anymore. I could even stand up on my own now.
Now that I'm feeling better, it's time to think about what comes next.
First of all, without a system or cheat code, the only thing I can rely on is Doraemon's gadgets.
But based on my past experience watching the Doraemon anime, there's this one strange rule he always follows—punishing the bad and helping the good. Basically, you can't use the gadgets for anything evil or selfish.
That's just how things work in the show... but I have no idea if the same rule applies here too.
If it does, then I can't just use Doraemon's gadgets however I want.
"Damn it... it's like finally getting a cheat code, but then getting banned before I can even use it. So frustrating."
Wait a second—wasn't there a special episode where Doraemon had a gadget that lets you schedule your future? As long as you write it down, it becomes reality?
Maybe that gadget could bypass the whole "no bad stuff" rule... or at least walk a fine line around it.
With that thought in mind, I slowly moved toward the closet where Doraemon sleeps.
I slid open the door. Sure enough, he was still inside, sleeping with a goofy grin, even smacking his lips.
Probably dreaming about dorayaki or something.
"Doraemon?" I called out as I gently slapped his chubby face. "Wake up! Doraemon!"
"Mmm? Nobita? You're up already? That's early..." Doraemon rubbed his eyes and looked at me, still half-asleep.
"Uh... it's not that early. It's already seven." Then I suddenly remembered—normally I don't get up until eight. So yeah, I was up early for once!
"Huh?" Doraemon lit up. "You're walking already? Looks like you've recovered really well!"
"Come on, let me check you over. Just to be safe."
He reached out to examine me.
"Stop—stop it, Doraemon! I'm fine," I said, pushing him away.
"Anyway, Nobita, why'd you get up so early? Something on your mind?" he asked curiously.
"I wanted to borrow one of your gadgets..." I said, a little sheepishly.
"A gadget? Which one?! Don't tell me you're planning to mess around again!" Doraemon scolded as he reached into his 4D Pocket.
"Heh... It's that diary—the one that lets you write out the future," I said, rubbing my hands together.
"I'm not going to mess around! I just want to make a solid plan for my future."
"After everything that's happened lately... I've decided it's time to change."
"I want to become the kind of great adult you always talked about," I said it as seriously as I could.
"And to do that, I need to set a goal first, right?"
"So, Doraemon—lend me the Future Diary, will ya?" I grinned.
"Really?" Doraemon squinted at me, clearly suspicious.
"Alright then... I'll let you borrow it." He didn't quite believe me, but still reached into his pocket and pulled it out.
The Future Diary. There was a yellow conical frame in the center, surrounded by red and blue colors. It didn't look like a regular diary at all—it looked more like a magic book.
"Here you go," Doraemon said, handing it to me.
I held it with both hands.
This... this was one of the legendary gadgets from Doraemon's world! In the special episode The Mystery of the Pyramids!? The Great Egyptian Adventure, it could even control the weather, influence people's thoughts and actions.
Just thinking about it made my heart race.
And also kind of pissed me off. Damn, my past self really wasted this chance. With Doraemon as a cheat tool, who needs some dumb system? If anyone else had this, they'd have taken off by now.
I slowly opened the diary. It was completely blank—probably unused.
"Nobita, the way you use the Future Diary is simple. Just write directly in it," Doraemon began explaining.
"The more detailed your writing, the better."
"That way, the people and events involved will follow your intentions more closely. If you only write the outcome or final goal, it can still come true—but the process will be left up to your own efforts, and that part becomes unpredictable."
"So, Nobita... have you decided what to write?" he asked seriously.
"Yeah. I'm just going to write the goal and the result."
"I'll handle the process myself," I said with resolve.
"Huh? That doesn't sound like you at all! Didn't you always want results to just fall into your lap?" Doraemon asked suspiciously.
"Waaahhh X﹏X waaahh... Nobita, you've grown up! You've finally learned to not rely on me or my gadgets!" Doraemon cried, visibly moved.
Man, he gets emotional way too easily. Even I felt kind of embarrassed.
"Come on, hurry up and write. I'll help you plan it out," he said, unusually eager.
"Alright, alright... but Doraemon, could you step outside for a bit? I can't let you see what I'm writing." I said, a little embarrassed.
"Hm? Don't tell me you're gonna write 'marry Shizuka' or 'surpass Dekisugi'? Ohh, I get it. I totally get it," he said with a mischievous grin as he left and kindly closed the door behind him.
What does Doraemon know? Shizuka? I'm not stopping at one tree—I want an entire forest.
A wicked grin crept onto my face.
With that, I opened the Future Diary and began to write:
Nobita Nobi will fulfill his dreams and have a vast harem... Fate will favor Nobita Nobi, and the path to his goals will be smooth... Along the way, he will meet many, many beautiful women and form complex relationships with them... Nobita Nobi will live a happy life.
