In a subway
"hey kunimi, have you heard about the puberty syndrome?" Asked an young man, about highschool age, his name is sakuta azasugawa
"is that the myth about different things that happen during our puberty because of stress and such? If that's the one you talking about yes, even though i don't believe in it much" said yuuma kunimi, the only male friend of sakuta and a member of the basketball club of minegahara high school
they are two students of the same school who met there for the first time, both have light brown hair, but kunimi is taller, and has an better body type, while sakuta is just an ordinary guy, with nothing much to talk about.
Sakuta said nothing of response just kept looking ahead, seeming to be deep in thought.
"why the question suddenly?" Asked kunimi, also looking ahead
"i just wanted to see where you were In this kind of belief, just an curiosity that popped up in my mind."
"you are strange man"
"The strange one is you, dating kasimato like it's normal"
"hey do not go talking bad about her if you don't wanna go"
" she's the one that keeps trying to divide us and seems to hate me"
"she unfortunately cares too much about my reputation and thanks to the hospital incident she thinks my reputation will tank an hit if i'm your friend" the not single one says, shaking his head almost in disappointment
And at that their talk finished, they just kept in silence until the station near their schoo.
once they got out of the subway they directed themselves towards their highschool for another painful day of learning, and it was only monday.
One girl seemed to be waiting for someone, she is futaba rio, she is smaller than the both of them, wears glasses and a lab coat over her uniform, sakuta's only female friend and also the only member of the science club
"why are you waiting for us futaba? That's not normal of you" sakuta asked the girl
"i found some kind of note on my desk, it said "there's something wrong, someone is messing with your life"" futaba said while handing him the letter
"I don't recognize this writing and there's nothing saying who it is"
" whoever it is maybe they aren't capable or allowed to say who they are, or who is doing the messing"said kunimi
"maybe, maybe, well i will be going, see you at the science club sakuta?"Asked futaba
"yes i will be there for lunch time"
"alright, i will be going and trying to discover who made that"futaba said before going away ahead of them for her class
"that was strange" kunimi affirmed after she left
"what, she caring about me or the note?"
"i guess both, though the note is easily the strangest thing" kunimi said before starting to walk the same way futaba did
As he did i followed, not wanting to be left behind.
after the school
in the fujitsawa main library sakuta was looking for a book to help him on the homework he was assigned at school, when an shadow passed at his side, he thinking he saw something strange decided to follow, in the computers room he found the shadow, it was a girl wearing an bunny costume, she seemed to be trying to get everyone attention, but while her face was impassive he could feel an aura of worry around herself.
And the reason was clear, no one noticed her, why that sakuta didn't know, but that was happening, so it was no surprise the atmosphere that she had
the girl approached him, overlooking the people that were there, he couldn't take his eyes off her, not like he wanted to, but there seemed to be something in her, other than the good looks, that pulled him
after some seconds of him staring at her, without saying anything, he asked "uhm…excuse me?"
she slowly turned towards him and asked "you can see me?"
"yes i can, and from what i have seen they can't, i definitely don't envy them" that was said while he gave a look over her
"Pervert" she says
an uncomfortable pause ensues which is broken by sakuta asking
"do you do this often? Walking around in a revealing outfit to see if people notice you?"
"Not often. this is actually the first time i ever did something like this. I wanted to test something"
"…So this is new hum? And you wanted to test if people could see you? Is that right?" Sakuta asked, not actually surprised, just trying to understand exactly the situation
"yes, that's exactly what is happening, but how did you know it is new?"
"…That's weird, but i guess i'm weirder for talking to a bunny girl in the library. And well, if you are testing if people can notice you, that means you didn't fully know the limits of that, and if it truly was for long you might have been dead of hunger, so yeah, those are the things that make me think it's new"
"Makes sense" she says before turning to leave, and then saying "…don't tell anyone about this, just forget i ever existed."
"that might be impossible" sakuta says in a deadpan voice
as he watches her leave, the way his lower head prefers he calls her
"wait, what's your name?"
"didn't you already discover? It's mai sakurajima"
Sakuta's pov
'mai sakurajima, that famous actress who is on hiatus? Isn't she my senpai at minegahara? Is her problem because of the puberty syndrome? I got so much questions, guess i will be talking with futaba tomorrow to deal with this, she might have an answer for how to deal with this.'

'so they meet, but I'm still invisible, why was i brought to this time if i am unable of interacting with them? Just to see them falling in love and for me to suffer? And sakuta just doesn't seem to care about the note, that's smart from him, trusting someone he doesn't even know the face is dumb. But he's different, seems more worried with mai-san than what he told me, i guess he could somehow see her pain, just like he did mine, what's that ability *sigh* so many questions, and no answer, thats a pain, now i guess i Will just keep an eye on them for now'
