Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Tenth Company

Late at night, within the quiet and desolate Uchiha district of Konoha Village…

> "You have obtained 70 soul fragments. Do you wish to proceed with the first Stand extraction?"

A strange, ringing voice echoed in Logan's ears—part tinnitus, part distant noise, distorted and unfamiliar.

Logan sat in a pool of blood, dazed. The gaping wound in his chest was slowly closing, and the cold gravel of the courtyard dug uncomfortably into his backside. He absentmindedly smeared the blood on his chest and stared at his stained palm.

Still warm.

He blinked slowly, his expression blank, confusion etched into every line of his face. Finally, he muttered a single word:

"...Huh?"

Suddenly, memories that didn't belong to him came flooding in like a broken dam.

> Uchiha Logan. Age 18. Jobless. Useless. Expelled from the Ninja Academy. Surviving on the clan's basic living allowance. Widely regarded as the disgrace of the Uchiha.

Tonight, the moon was bright. He had been drinking, quietly admiring the night sky, when he spotted a man squatting on a telephone pole in the distance.

Then…

Darkness.

And now, here he was.

> "Did I… transmigrate?"

> "Is this... the Naruto world?"

"Hokage… Ninja…" Logan repeated the words as they surfaced from the depths of his fractured mind.

He had heard of it before—but just barely.

Logan came from a quiet town and had been a test-prep student his whole life. Academic pressure, tutoring, study sessions—he had rarely watched anime, and his knowledge of Naruto was extremely limited.

He vaguely remembered a few things:

Naruto had a demon fox sealed in his belly.

Sasuke had something called "Amaterasu."

And Tsunade… Ino… Sakura... He'd only learned of them from browsing certain websites that started with "P."

Beyond those scraps of pop culture knowledge, the plot was a blank slate.

Thrown into an anime world he barely knew anything about?

> How the hell am I supposed to survive this?!

The mechanical voice returned:

> "You have obtained 70 soul fragments. Do you wish to proceed with the first Stand extraction?"

As the ringing in his ears faded, Logan finally heard the voice clearly. Cold. Robotic. Systemic.

A wave of relief washed over him.

> "There's a system?"

He sat up straighter and grinned. Things were looking up.

Logan summoned the system interface.

---

[JOJO Stand System]

Derived from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. All Stands featured in the series can be drawn and trained. Includes a "Plot Review" function.

---

Logan had never watched JoJo, either. But maybe the system knew that. Hence the handy "Plot Review" feature in the corner.

Without bothering to read the comics first, Logan opened the card draw page.

Stands—the embodiment of one's mental power—each possessed a wide array of unique abilities. They could fight, defend, scout, heal… But because they were tied directly to the user's mind, any damage to the Stand would affect the user too.

They were two halves of the same coin.

On the card screen, dozens of shadowy Stand silhouettes hovered. Below them were two draw options:

Single Draw

Ten Consecutive Draws

A glowing message hovered at the top:

> "Normal draw pool: May contain 4–5 star Stands, upgrade materials, special items, etc. 10 soul fragments per draw."

Logan's eyes scanned the list:

4-Star Stands: Stone Free, Emperor, Hermit Purple, Silver Chariot…

5-Star Stands: Crazy Diamond, Metallica, Star Platinum (The World), Whitesnake…

There were so many names, most of which he didn't recognize.

His eyes locked onto the most important line:

> "This is the normal card pool…"

So there was a special card pool?

The system didn't answer.

Instead, another message popped up:

> "[First-time draw bonus: Guaranteed 5-star Stand in your first 10 draws.]"

That was at least some good news. Otherwise, who knew how many resources it would take to get anything useful?

Logan looked at the soul fragment counter in the top-right corner.

Soul Fragments: 70

Ten fragments per draw. He could draw seven times—three short of a ten-draw guarantee.

Then his eyes fell on another part of the system.

> [Ways to Obtain Soul Fragments]:

Defeat powerful enemies

Alter the worldline

Mortgage your own soul

The first two were straightforward: battle, change events, gain rewards.

But the third…

> "Mortgage your soul in exchange for soul fragments. Must repay within 24 hours to reclaim soul. Otherwise, you will permanently lose part of your soul."

> Current soul value: 500 soul fragments.

Five hundred? That was 50 pulls!

> Is my soul only worth 648 rupees?! he thought bitterly.

He shuddered.

What happens if you lose part of your soul?

He didn't know.

And he didn't want to find out.

There was no way in hell he'd go into debt for a damn card draw.

Logan stood up from the blood-soaked courtyard. The cool wind hit his face, helping him focus.

> You have the Uchiha bloodline, and now the Stand System. Lay low. Develop quietly. Wait until you pull a broken-tier Stand… Then live a good life. No overtime. No worries. Money in hand. Girls in your arms. That's the dream.

He couldn't help but smile a little at the thought.

Then—

> "Brother Logan… help… me…"

The faint voice came from inside the house. A child's voice.

Logan froze.

Someone else was alive?

He pushed the door open.

Inside lay a little girl, no older than four or five. She wore her hair in pigtails, and blood seeped from a deep wound in her abdomen. She was sprawled across a tatami mat, her tiny hand reaching for him.

Her hand trembled in his.

Cold. Weak. Fragile.

More memories surfaced—memories from this body's predecessor:

Her father had died in the war. Her mother, lost in grief, turned to alcohol and beat the girl when drunk.

The old Logan—though a failure—was kind to children. He spent most of his allowance buying sweets and snacks for the village kids.

This girl would visit often to play games and hide from her violent home.

> "When I grow up, I want to marry Brother Logan." she once said with a bright smile.

Tonight, her mother must've been drunk again.

So she came here, looking for safety.

> "Brother Logan… I don't want to die…"

The thrill of gaining a system faded from Logan's heart.

He scooped her into his arms and ran outside.

> Doctor! She needs a doctor!

Then he remembered: some Stands had healing abilities.

If he could just draw one…

> "Hold on! Just a little longer—"

But he couldn't finish the sentence.

The light in her eyes had vanished.

Gone.

Logan clenched his teeth.

He didn't truly know her, but her death hit something deep inside him. Something human.

He could understand someone killing him, an 18-year-old waste of space.

But this?

What sin had a five-year-old committed?

> "Caw!"

A crow cawed sharply overhead, drawing Logan's attention upward.

The skies were filled with circling crows.

The air reeked of blood.

As the moonlight broke through the clouds, Logan saw what he hadn't earlier:

Corpses.

Everywhere.

Old men. Young women. Children. No one was spared.

His scalp tingled.

> What the hell…? A massacre?

Behind him, the lights of Konoha shimmered peacefully.

But in front of him—the Uchiha district was soaked in blood.

First came fear. Then fury.

Not because of memories or emotions tied to this borrowed body.

But as someone raised in a modern world, who understood the value of life, he felt his blood boil.

> Killing during a war is one thing. But this? Killing babies? Elders? Civilians? This isn't a ninja operation—it's butchery!

> Bastards.

> No… beasts.

> "AHHHHHHH!!!"

A distant scream pierced the night.

A survivor?

Logan moved instinctively, then paused.

> The murderer killed an entire clan. That takes immense strength. And there's no Konoha rescue in sight. Which means—

> He has power, backing, and a plan.

> If I go... I'll die.

But the thought barely settled before Logan took another step forward.

> So what? I've already reincarnated once. I have a system. If I'm not brave enough to try… then I'm no man at all.

His steps quickened. His hair whipped in the wind. But his eyes—his eyes burned with a golden light.

Like a sun in the darkness.

---

Elsewhere, Uchiha Itachi stood over a trembling Sasuke. His Sharingan glowed coldly, madness flickering behind calm eyes.

Beside him, Obito—wearing his signature mask—watched silently.

Then both of them turned. Footsteps.

Not stealthy. Not a ninja's pace.

Logan came charging down the bloodied street.

"A stray?" Obito glanced at the Uchiha crest on Logan's chest. "Itachi, you're slipping. Need me to finish the job?"

"No need," Itachi said, drawing his sword. "I didn't expect to kill you twice."

He knew Logan.

The disgrace of the clan. Too weak to even be a medic during the Third War.

Even Sasuke, hopeful for a moment, lost all light in his eyes when he saw Logan.

> "Tch."

Logan spat on the ground.

"You monsters… Stay the hell away from me."

He stepped forward, ruffled Sasuke's hair, and said softly:

"Go wait over there, kid."

Then, without hesitation, he opened his system interface.

> "Mortgage my soul."

> "Ten consecutive draws."

> Let's roll the dice, bastards.

Let's see who the real monster is tonight.
