We've all been there. When we were young, there was someone we liked—but we were too afraid to tell them. Afraid of rejection. Afraid of being laughed at.
I was like that too. I didn't say how I felt because I was scared. But as time passed, I realized something: if she rejected me, that doesn't mean it's the end. There are other people out there—someone will like me for who I am.
You can't force someone to love you. Even if you tried, that wouldn't be real love. Love means accepting someone's flaws and strengths. It has to come naturally, from both sides.
I'm not some expert in love. But from what I've seen in movies, and what I've lived through, I believe this: you should never change yourself just to be loved. Because then, the real you disappears. Don't fake it. Don't become someone else. Take the rejection, face it—it'll hurt, yes—but it also makes space for someone who will love the real you.
It's like fire and water. If you are fire, and the one you love is water, the closer you get, the more you'll fade—and they'll go on like nothing happened. If you keep chasing someone who doesn't feel the same, you're just burning yourself.
So don't go too far chasing someone who won't love you back. Keep being yourself. The right person is out there. Someone who will love you—not for what you pretend to be, but for everything that makes you you.
