October 23rd 2010 a rift opens in manhattan as suddenly abstract beings seep out of the rift in the sky glowing a bright red as the people scream suddenly one of the abstract beings lunge at a person and instantly with a large rock hand smashes the lower half of the person and eats it as the others in the area scream and call for the police in terror marking the first rift of many.
May 10th 2025 humans alive 5.8 billion.
As a young boy is running on the abandoned train tracks he sees three abstract beings called spirits following him with a crimson moon in the sky as he blasts a big brick from the broken down tracks. he launches the large brick into a hole in the ground as he hides in the hole in the ground. he then follows a passageway underground and then meets up with another person the boy says to the other person "William you got the signal get the trap ready" as William then runs off in the underground tunnels.
As the young boy runs to the way out of the tunnel he sees two of the spirits are still trying to find him but as he looks closer it seems that they are running from something. He then jumps on the train track and then as he feels the air around him get warmer he looks back and sees that the two spirits following him had been scorched to death.
As the boy looks up and sees a massive dragon as he tries to run the, massive dragon somehow managed to already be in front of him and behind the boy the train tracks collapse instantly just of the dragons presence as the dragon speaks "You Jack Edwards shall now with my blessing prepare humanity for me and my children you have 3 months" as the dragon then flies away.
As Jack now runs away to his house in his abandoned town snacking off of stale bread he searches up for information about the dragon god. As he looks at the wiki he finds classified documents and weirdly written articles but in a summary.
The dragon god is a god tier spirit that is said to be the original spirit and as the articles end he notices that they all end with santai corporation will take care of this god tier threat when we have the resources. As Jack then gets an emergency broadcast about a god tier spirit being sighted around the old train tracks as he sighs and goes to his friends home.
"Hey how are you feeling today Jack did you find the spirit that killed your parents yet" Maria says with a gleeful smile knowing of the deep trauma Jack has as the room becomes quiet.
William then speaks "Well as we all know by know a god tier spirit has been sighted dangerously close to our homes" As jack then speaks up "Well about that I might have met that so called god tier spirit" as the room becomes quiet again.
"YOU WHAT!?" Elisabeth screams as everyone else look at jack confused at how he is alive. as Jack tries to answer William interrupts with him saying "Okay what kind of drugs did you take to hallucinate that bad?".
Jack then explains that when he was with William to take out some low ranked spirits William went and activated the trap and while William went to the northern side of the train tracks Jack went to the south and when trying to find the spirits the dragon spirit told him that he had 3 months to prepare for its children whatever that meant.
Then as the group tries to find information William finds something and speaks "Guys come look at this" As his small bright phone illuminating the glasses of William the text reads.
Dragon god study one results the dragon god is capable of wiping out civilization as we know it and is the reason for the crimson moon phenomena and we suspect that he is one of the gods.
As Jack then takes a pack of juice out of the fridge and gives it to Elisabeth he takes his phone and searches for something then explains to the others the situation "As we know now the dragon is the dragon spirit a god tier spirit".
As the others interrupt him with asking him to just get to the point as jack then says "I suspect that the blessing the dragon god gave me is a new god style" The others then try to deny the claim and finally Elisabeth speaks "Can you show us then if you are so sure about it".
Jack then thinks and does arm movements as the others watch his arms begin to glow a faint green and he shoots a small spark and lights a candle William the says "Interesting well at least that doesn't seem like any god style I have heard of".
As William laughs at the ridiculously small spark Jack begins to sweat heavily and sits down as Elisabeth tries to act like a person that understands and gets closer to Jack. Jack instantly sits up and goes home and in his dream he sees a void a void with a light then he wakes up dazed.
Then at 8:32 am Jack goes to the nearby spirit hunting center and gets a contract for one tier 9 spirit as the receptionist asks why the sudden increase in the spirits ranks and Jack then just walks out into the street.
As missing posters and families run to funerals due to the dragon spirit Jack thinks to himself if he really is worthy and then goes to Williams house and everyone meets up. As Jack instantly tells the others they will be fighting a medium ranked spirit tier 10 and Elisabeth speaks up.
"Did those children really have to die what about you Jack you are the strongest of all of us you should have done something!" As William tries to calm her down Jack then orders everyone to just follow him to the spirit as he also tells them that they also get payed 4000 dollars each for this alone.
As they approach the warehouse they see scorched bodies outside as Jack speaks "This will be a tier 10 energy spirit we earn 4 grand each so all we do is follow the plan" Everyone agrees and they go into the warehouse.
As soon as they enter the warehouse the spirit is then seen by Maria as she then says "Hey Jack did the contractors say anything about the spirit having a mask?" Jack looks confused and sees the spirit and says "No they did not say anything about a mask but we need the cash right now".
Elisabeth carefully agrees and they first deploy the first part of the plan spirit resistant net as William throws the net at the monster Elisabeth tries using the god fist style but then suddenly the spirit then just disappears and appears in front of jack.
As Jacks pupils dilate he then runs up to the stored boxes and runs on them as fast as possible and he then tells William to go get help as William tries to open the door to the warehouse he says something both horrible and horrifying to the group "The door is locked I can't get out".
As Jack then tries to pick up the net again he throws it at the spirit and it just goes through it and Jack realizes that santai wants him dead they have kept him at tier 2 when in reality he is tier 1 for a while but never to this level before as Jack thinks of a quick plan he tells maria "Maria make a stone wall in front of me when i give the signal then when i turn around i want you to make another wall between us and the spirit".
As Maria then gets ready and is centering energy William tries to find water as he finds a bottle of water he throws it to Jack as soon as Maria makes the signal that she's ready and then as the stone wall is forming in front of Jack he then throws water at the spirit as Maria makes a stone wall in between the group and the spirit.
As Jack shouts for maria to make stone walls around the spirit. The spirit then rushes to Elisabeth that was running towards the group and then Jack instantly speeds up massively and blasts the spirit with a huge wave of fire and energy. As the spirit is stunned Maria makes a cage of stone walls around the spirit mission successful.
As the clean up team arrive Jack hears from one of the investigators that this incident didn't go as planned confirming his theory that santai wants him and his group dead. After that jack goes and seals the lightning spirit to get a pseudo style.
Then Jack goes with Elisabeth to the funerals of the victims as the recently dug graves become as a form of memory to mourn them. As Jack goes home gloomy and searches on the internet about assassination attempts from santai and almost instantly his phone then crashes and the battery explodes in his hand.
As Jack knows that santai knows about him and where he lives he thinks and then banging on the door as the people banging on the door say "OPEN up we have a warrant from santai company and reason to suspect you may have been linked to an illegal act".
Jack looks through the window and sees not police but 2 men in all black clothing as he asks them "Why do you say that you have a warrant and not even have near a concrete case of me doing a crime?" As Jacks door is kicked down and the two men throw knives at Jack as jack says.
"You know we are all superhumans what is a knife going to-" Jack then gets interrupted by a severe pain in his chest as he begins shouting in pain. as the men clothed in black begin speaking on the phone as Jack hears that those assassins are about to go to his friends he then pushes through the pain and stands up.
Dazed and still in pain Jack goes to his houses fence where he then begins to begin slowly after charging shoot giant rocks at the assassins as they scream to their phone "Target has access to earth god style" as the assassins then begin trying to reach a specific house it appears to be the old house of Jacks old martial arts teacher as then the assassins shout out.
"We will see you in the next life" As suddenly a man behind the assassins walks out and tells Jack "You where talented in this life I hope we meet another life" As Jack then questions himself but ignores his thoughts as suddenly his old teacher is in front of him kicking his gut.
Jack then tries chasing after the assassins but his old teacher continues with kicking his gut as Jack then shoots the old man through the heart and as the old man is bleeding out Jack runs for the assassins and takes them out with a blast of fire. Then jack quickly mourns the death of his master and goes to his friends to tell them about what happened.
But as the smoke dissipates a blinking red light can be seen in the smoke as santai company is infamous for their surveillance.

Pseudo styles differ from god styles in a sense that they are rarely obtained by sealing a spirit inside of a human to be able to draw on the spirits energy to use their abilities but it is risky due to the spirit taking and replacing a part of the humans soul
