Chapter 8 - Chapter 7:" When the Hunters Enter "

Chrono Genesis – Blood Layer Entry Point: Fracture Gate

The air shimmered with static.

Reality trembled at the edge of corrupted code as a tear opened in the Blood Realm — not from within, but forced through from the outside. Illegal. Unnatural.

From the glowing fracture stepped three figures.

They didn't appear like other players. Their gear glitched slightly, flickering between formats, their HUDs stabilized by custom tech — high-end black-market software built to override the system's firewall.

> Unauthorized Access: Detected.

Override Class: Omega-tier breach. Tracking disabled.

The Blood Code did not welcome them.

But it noticed them.

The System Breakers

*Nyla "Red Viper" Ren – Twin blade assassin, ex-guild leader turned mercenary. Known for her speed and cruelty. Her weapon: Vortex Edge, a blade that warps short-range time and space.

*Cael "Eyetech" Duran – Gunslinger, tactician, and hacker. Wields the Oblivion Rail, a tech-enhanced sniper that deletes terrain and players with every headshot. His implants allow him to predict movement… most of the time.

*The third man didn't speak.

He walked slower than the others. Hooded. Calm.

The others called him simply:

> "Ash."

He didn't use a weapon yet. But the moment his foot touched Blood Layer soil, the system stuttered.

> Error: Legacy code detected… parsing anomaly…

Ash stared into the red mist. A name flickered in his HUD.

> Jin Wei.

> "I'll find you," he said softly. "And I'll finish what your brother started."

Meanwhile – Blood Layer 02: Depth Catacombs

Rei knelt near a red rune, drawing symbols with her dagger. She moved with ritualistic grace — quiet, cold, focused. Jin stood nearby, practicing with his Twin Viper, sweat dripping down his neck.

"These runes keep the Bloodborn away," Rei said. "For now."

Jin didn't look up. "You ever wonder who's sending them?"

Rei wiped her blade clean. "They're not being sent. They're being drawn. To you."

"Why?"

Rei hesitated.

> "Because you're bleeding potential."

She tossed him a scroll. It unrolled midair:

> Target: Jin_047

Class: Rogue Entity – Tier Alpha

Bounty: 1,000,000 credits – Dead or Deleted.

Jin stared at it in silence.

> "They're not going to stop, are they?"

> "No," Rei said. "And the next ones won't be NPCs. They'll be real."

Across the Realm – System Distortion Detected

Something rippled in the code.

The Blood Layer — once silent — began to stir. The walls bled. Ground shook. Far above them, in REDROOT, the Overseer raised his head.

>"Uninvited guests have entered our garden."

Another Architect voice crackled from the code:

> "Shall we erase them?"

The Overseer's tone remained cold.

> "No. Let them hunt. Let them test our vessel."

> "Let them bleed for us."

---

Back at Fracture Gate

Red Viper stabbed her dagger into the corrupted soil.

"Let's split. Eyetech, take the high cliffs. Ash—you already know what to do."

Eyetech vanished into digital wind.

Ash turned slowly toward the west corridor, where faint twin energy trails pulsed across the map — a mutated chain signature. Jin's bloodprint.

"Found you."

---

— Silent Prelude

Jin and Rei descend into Layer 03 — unaware they're being tracked from three angles.

The wind shifts.

The Blood Arsenal begins to pulse.

Jin's vision glitches for a moment — and he sees his own death, one possible version of it, burned into his retina.

And the system whispers:

> "They are near. Bleed faster."
