"When you carry a monster inside you, the real trial isn't controlling it. It's proving to the world… you're still human."— Yuji Itadori
🌙 Scene 1 — Moonlight Confessions
The night air was crisp. Yuji stood atop the school's rooftop, leaning on the cold railing, staring at the stars.
Behind him, soft footsteps approached.
Rias.
"You always come up here," she said.
"It's quiet," Yuji replied. "And the stars don't judge."
She stood beside him, her crimson hair glowing like flame in the moonlight.
"You impressed a lot of people during the trial. Including me."
Yuji shrugged.
"That trial wasn't about strength. It was about fear. They wanted to see if I'd lose control."
"And you didn't," Rias said. "You showed restraint, dignity... power."
"Power I didn't ask for," he muttered.
Rias placed a hand on his shoulder.
"You're not the only one carrying things they never asked for, Yuji."
He turned, surprised by her tone.
"The Gremory name comes with weight. Expectations. And the fear that one day… I might not be enough."
Their eyes met.
"But you were enough," she said, voice soft. "You are."
😈 Scene 2 — Echoes of the Past
Inside the ORC's chamber, Sukuna sat — yes, sat — half-manifested on a throne of shadow. Koneko glared at him from a safe distance.
"Why are you here?" she asked bluntly.
"Because he needs me close," Sukuna answered, his voice oddly calm. "The angels are moving. And when they do... they won't hold back."
Koneko didn't trust him. But she also didn't deny the truth in his words.
"You care about him?"
"I am bound to him," Sukuna said, then paused. "...and yes. I care."
She narrowed her eyes.
"Why?"
He looked at the ceiling.
"Because he was the only fool in two thousand years who looked me in the eye and said, 'You're not beyond saving.'"
👼 Scene 3 — The Watcher Arrives
The next day, a strange aura spread across Kuoh. Not cursed. Not demonic. Something... above.
A man appeared in front of the ORC gates — tall, silver-haired, wearing a robe of white fire. Eyes like dying stars.
"Greetings," he said with a faint smile. "My name is Caleniel. I come as a Watcher of the Grigori."
Rias stepped forward. Akeno beside her, tense.
"State your purpose."
"To observe. To understand." He looked toward Yuji. "And perhaps… to decide."
Yuji stared him down.
"I'm not a pawn. I don't care what faction you're from."
"And yet you move the board by simply existing."
⚔️ Scene 4 — The Watcher's Test
Suddenly, Caleniel raised a hand. A pulse of light burst outward — freezing the world around them.
Everything stopped. Except for Yuji and him.
"A dream plane?" Yuji muttered, breathing heavy.
"A realm between thought and time," Caleniel replied. "Let us see if you're truly ready to protect what you love."
Yuji assumed a stance.
The fight began.
🥊 Fight Breakdown — Yuji vs Caleniel (Dream Realm)
Opening:
Caleniel floated forward, ethereal wings folding and unfolding like silk. With a gesture, a barrage of golden lances launched at Yuji.
Yuji rolled left, spun on his heel, and charged straight into them, cursed energy shielding his arms. The first lance cracked his forearm — the second, he shattered with a punch.
"His attacks curve mid-air. That means... they're being guided."
Yuji leapt up, spun, and landed a double kick toward Caleniel's ribs — but the angel phased out, appearing behind him in a blink.
Yuji ducked the incoming palm strike, grabbed the wrist, and slammed Caleniel into the mirrored ground.
"You're no ordinary vessel," Caleniel said, rising.
"Yeah. I'm also Yuji Itadori," Yuji growled. "Let's finish this."
Final Clash:
Caleniel summoned a divine spear. Yuji coated his fists with cursed energy.
The two clashed — sparks of light and black lightning exploding around them.
Yuji ducked, countered with a left hook, then pivoted and launched an uppercut charged with Divergent Fist.
CRACK! The angel stumbled back.
"You would stand against the heavens themselves?"
"If they threaten my friends—hell yes."
With a roar, Yuji unleashed a final punch, forcing Caleniel back through the dream barrier—
Back to reality.
😳 Scene 5 — The World Resumes
Time snapped back.
Everyone blinked. Only seconds had passed.
Caleniel, now standing again, nodded to Rias.
"He is more than a vessel. He is a choice."
He turned to Yuji.
"They will come. You must be ready."
Then he vanished in a swirl of light.
Rias approached Yuji, worried.
"What did he do?"
"Tested me," Yuji said, breathing hard. "And I passed."
💫 Scene 6 — Bonds and Beginnings
That evening, Koneko approached Yuji on the rooftop.
"You always fight like you're trying to protect something."
Yuji smiled.
"I am."
She hesitated.
"I want to help you. Next time, let me."
Yuji blinked. That was… kind of sweet.
"Sure," he said, rubbing his neck. "But you'll have to keep up."
Koneko smirked.
"I'm faster than I look."
Below them, the world turned quietly. But far above, in the realm beyond stars, angels whispered. Devils schemed. And somewhere, a second Watcher opened their eyes.
👑 Scene 7 — Sukuna's Warning
Back inside Yuji's soul, Sukuna stood before a mirror. The reflection didn't show Yuji — but someone else.
Someone with golden eyes and a twisted smile.
"So," Sukuna said. "You're awake."
The voice in the mirror replied:
"You think you're his only protector?"
Sukuna chuckled darkly.
"Oh... this is going to be fun."
