Renka walked alone under the scorching sun.
His body was weak, his steps unsteady.
He hadn't eaten for two whole days. His stomach burned. His vision was blurry.
The world around him felt distant... fading.
In a corner of the city, the smell of fresh bread caught his attention.
A vendor stood at a small stall.
Renka approached and whispered,
"Sir… could I have a little bread?"
But instead, he received a hard kick that sent him flying to the ground.
Without retaliating, Renka got up and walked away.
He kept moving aimlessly until he saw a man carrying a plate of hot food.
He couldn't hold back any longer.
He ran—and stole the food.
"Thief! That kid stole my food!"
the man shouted.
People nearby began chasing after him.
Renka ran with all his might, into a narrow, dark alley.
A dead end.
No way out.
"Hey! Think you can escape?"
"How dare you steal from a grown man!"
"He should be punished!"
Renka was cornered. His body trembled.
He clutched his aching stomach.
"I'm sorry... I was just hungry..." he muttered, barely audible.
"Sorry? You've got some nerve!"
The man raised his hand to strike him.
But then...
Time seemed to slow.
Renka could no longer hear anything.
His mind went dark. Empty. Silent.
And then—
A dark aura burst from his body.
The attacker was blown away, slammed against the wall.
From the end of the alley, an old, mysterious woman watched with sharp eyes.
She said nothing… and then smiled faintly.
She walked closer.
"What happened here?" she asked, feigning confusion.
"That kid stole some bread!"
"Just bread?" someone muttered.
"They did all that… for just some bread?"
The crowd began to disperse.
Soon, only Renka and the woman remained.
"Are you alright, child?" the woman asked gently.
Renka looked up.
His eyes were now completely black, and shadows swirled around him.
"Why… did you help me?" Renka asked with a heavy voice.
Suddenly, the woman raised her hand to strike him—but the dark shadows blocked her movement.
"Stop… Don't use that power… It's not time yet…"
"Calm yourself, childddd…!"
Her voice echoed...
And eventually, Renka collapsed.
The woman carried him away, disappearing into a hidden place.
She laid him down carefully, waiting for him to wake.
Meanwhile...
Elsewhere in the city, Vivi was quietly enjoying dinner with her adoptive mother, Fatma.
Suddenly—
BOOM!!
The front door exploded open.
Splinters flew through the air.
"Finally… a nice place!" shouted a rough-looking man from the doorway, followed by several armed men.
"Listen up, everyone!"
"This is a robbery! Hand over your valuables or you die!"
Fatma immediately stood up and shouted,
"Guards! Quickly!"
From the second floor, a well-dressed man leapt down with graceful movement.
"My apologies, Madam. I overslept. But I'm here now."
He bowed politely.
"My name is Yuda Akari."
The robbers laughed.
"So polite, what an idiot! Just die already!"
One of them threw a dagger at Yuda.
But he caught it with one hand—and pulled on his arm, revealing a sword growing from his own flesh.
In an instant, he vanished.
SLASH!
One robber was cut clean in half, blood spraying into the air.
"Bastard!" the leader cursed.
He threw a small ball toward Yuda.
Yuda slashed it—but it was a trap.
The ball exploded into a sticky substance that glued his blades together.
Seizing the opportunity, another robber threw a spear, hitting Yuda in the leg.
He fell. Blood spilled.
The robber leader approached Fatma, slapped her, and used his glue power to stick her to one of the house pillars.
Meanwhile, Vivi hid under the table.
Her body shook. Her eyes reddened.
"Why… am I always so useless?" she thought.
"I can never protect anyone..."
She cried.
Clutching her head, she trembled in despair.
But then...
As she saw her mother hurt...
As she heard Yuda groaning in pain...
Something inside her snapped.
"I... WILL PROTECT THEM!!!"
Her scream shook the air.
Objects in the room began to float and spin rapidly around her.
Her eyes glowed.
Her right hand rose on its own, pointing at one of the robbers.
CRACK!
A sharp object flew through the air—impaling and instantly killing him.
The leader growled in rage.
He threw an explosive ball at Vivi.
But before it could reach her, Vivi pointed—
The ball froze in midair.
Then slowly spun around… and shot back at the leader.
BOOM!!
His body was thrown against the wall, caught in the blast of his own glue.
But just before he was completely defeated, he created a glue trap beneath Vivi's feet.
She was stuck.
Vivi remained calm.
Her eyes focused on the dagger at the robber's belt.
It floated into the air…
Then pierced his neck.
The leader collapsed.
Vivi then guided the dagger again—cutting the glue on her feet, freeing herself.
She rushed to Fatma and Yuda.
"Mama!! Is Yuda alright?!"
Fatma gave a weak smile.
"Don't worry, dear… He won't die that easily."
"As long as his heart remains intact, Yuda's body will heal.
Even severed limbs can reattach," Fatma said.
Vivi looked at Yuda, tears welling in her eyes.
Fatma touched her cheek and smiled.
"Vivi... you don't need any weapon.
Because you… are the weapon itself."
