Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 Conquering Dratini, Nancy's Discovery

Spring is here, everything is reviving, and it is the breeding season for Pokémons. In the distant valley, the hard-working Dragonite couple has laid another nest of eggs.

Time passed by little by little, and the Pokémon eggs in the nest hatched one after another. The little blue guys with their big noses broke through the eggshells and crawled out, saying their first greeting to the world.

However, the first egg they laid, which was also the largest of all, was still motionless, as if the life inside had fallen asleep.

Adult Dragonites do not always stay with their children. After hatching the eggs and teaching the newly hatched little ones some basic survival skills, they will spread their wings again and embark on their own journey.

The mini dragons were placed in the streams in the valley, where they floated with the water, shed their skins and grew, eventually becoming independent adults.

However, until the rest of the children had entered the stream and gone to different places, the egg was still intact. The abnormal situation made the Dragonite couple a little troubled. Normally, this time is enough for the egg to hatch and shed several times.

Finally, they couldn't resist the temptation of the vast blue sky. After deciding that this was probably a dead egg, they spread their wings and flew to a new world.

What the Dragonite couple didn't know was that just as they left, a tiny crack appeared on the top of the eggshell. A white protrusion emerged from the small crack and turned around as if detecting the situation outside.

Probably confirming that there was no danger, the eggshell broke open along the crack, and the blue head cautiously poked its head out. After looking around and finding that there was no human figure, it breathed a sigh of relief, and then... crawled back into the shell.

In the eyes of the young mini dragon, no matter what it is, it is not as safe as the dark and narrow eggshell. As long as she stays in this shell, she will sneak out to pick up some garbage when she is hungry, and curl up in the shell to sleep when she is sleepy. She can spend her whole life like this.

However, the good times didn't last long. One morning, when the mini dragon was still nestling in the egg, a loud noise woke her up from her sweet dream. It was the voice of humans that only existed in legends:

"Hey, come and have a look, there is a complete egg here!"

"What do you mean a complete egg? Isn't it obvious that there's a hole in it? The creature inside must have disappeared long ago."

Yes, yes, that's right, I left a long time ago so you should leave as well... With this thought in mind, the mini dragon curled up shivering, but soon, she felt her "shelter" rising into the sky.

"It's so heavy! I thought there was something in it!"

The world in front of him began to turn upside down, and after a dizzy spell, the mini dragon's head kissed the earth intimately.

Opening her eyes in pain, she saw the most horrifying sight since she was born—several hairless monkeys in strange shells surrounded her, their eyes flashing with excitement.

  "Crack, crack, crack, crack!"

His brain went blank, his eyes rolled up, and a snake-shaped soul spewed out of his mouth, directly breaking away from his body and flying into the sky.

Is this what freedom feels like? Flying among the white clouds, she thought, and she began to understand her parents' longing for the sky. Until... she saw a group of toucans flapping their wings and flying towards her with fierce eyes.

As expected I still can't understand it!!!

Her soul quickly dived back into her body, and she instinctively wanted to return to the residence where she could feel at ease, but she saw that a strange "hairless monkey" had taken her "house" and walked away.

How could you do this?! Even I would be angry! You are done for. You have offended me like you kicked cotton! At least say sorry. If you can't do it, forget it...

Although he was filled with righteous indignation in his heart and uttered harsh words, his body was still shaking and huddled into a ball, not daring to take any practical action.

At this moment, one of them took out a black and white ball with gold patterns, walked slowly towards her, raised his arm, and threw it directly at her.

Uwaaaa! What I said before was just nonsense! I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, please don't hit me...

The advanced ball hit her head directly, and it opened automatically to take the mini dragon in. Entering the unfamiliar environment, the mini dragon was a little timid at first, but soon she found that not only was there no one here, but the environment was also quite comfortable.

  Is this... my paradise?

The high-level ball shook slightly but suddenly stopped moving. The person who picked up the ball was a little surprised: "Isn't it said that the mini dragon is difficult to catch? Even with the high-level ball, it worked in one try."

"Forget it, just consider it a lucky break..."

  …

Waking up slowly from the dream of past memories, as soon as consciousness regained consciousness, Mini Dragon looked around nervously, but found that there was no one beside him, as if the experience just now was all just an illusion.

I remembered the past again. It turned out that being kicked out of the comfortable ball and being watched by a group of people was just a nightmare, hahahahaha…

This kind of self-consolation was interrupted by the sound of a lock being opened. He turned his head stiffly towards the doorway through which light was coming. A black-haired boy walked in from outside. After noticing his sight, he showed a peaceful smile on his face:

  "Oh, are you awake already?"

The body produced a stress response again. The noise of scales colliding forced the opponent to stop in his tracks, and the expression on his face turned into a wry smile:

"There's no need to be so exaggerated... Am I that scary?"

Hearing this, the mini dragon began to shake his head frantically: "Mini Mi Ni ~ Mi Ni ~ (Yes, yes, yes, sorry! I didn't mean to say that you look scary! Absolutely not!)"

  It's better not to explain...

Seeing that Mini Dragon looked like he was about to cry, Qianye sighed softly and gently placed the iron plate in his hand on the ground:

"I don't mean to blame you. You don't have to be too scared. I just came here alone to deliver the meal. There's no one else with me."

Perhaps the boy's words had some effect, or perhaps the aroma emanating from the golden Pokémon cubes in the iron plate made it difficult for the hungry Dratini to resist the temptation.

Anyway, she managed to overcome her fear of strangers a little, and slowly crawled to the iron plate in the dark, and tentatively took a bite of the Poké Cube inside.

The sweet aroma suddenly exploded from the mouth, stimulating the taste buds. The mini dragon, who had always eaten by picking up garbage, had never tasted such a thing. His eyes narrowed slightly, and his expression of happiness was beyond words.

Seeing the mini dragon finally letting go and wolfing down the food on the plate, Qianye felt relieved. At least there was finally a channel for interaction.

Come to think of it, this child's introverted personality is exactly the same as Nancy's, but Nancy's habit was developed passively because she was always feared and rejected. As for this child, maybe he is naturally timid?

His principle for capturing Pokémon is that both parties must travel voluntarily with mutual consent, but given Dratini's current personality, it is still unknown whether he can accept such a long journey in the future.

But if he chose to let Dratini go free... to be honest, he really doubted whether it could survive in the wild.

Just as Qianye was thinking about how to deal with the problem of Dratini, the Pokémon cubes in the plate had been basically cleared out. Dratini patted his slightly bulging belly with his tail, and while he was very satisfied, he also noticed the sad face of the boy in front of him.

I began to wonder: Is it because I was eating and ignoring him that he felt left out? Would it be better if I could provide him with some emotional value?

After all, the person who was willing to provide her with such delicious food should not be a bad person. Moreover, when there were no other people around, she did feel a reassuring aura from the other person, which eliminated the uneasiness brought by the presence of strangers.

Otherwise, no matter how delicious the food was, she would never dare to touch it if someone was watching her.

After hesitating for a moment, the mini dragon slowly stepped forward, carefully stretched out its neck, and rubbed its smooth head against Qianye's palm.

The cool feeling woke the boy from his thoughts. He lowered his head and looked at the mini dragon with some surprise, who quickly retracted his head.

"Really? What am I thinking? I'm so scared of this kind of thing..."

He stretched out his hand and lifted up the head of the mini dragon. Although the dragon was a little trembling because of this sudden action, it no longer had the violent reaction as at the beginning. This at least proved that the mini dragon had initially accepted him.

"Don't worry, and don't be afraid, Dragonite. Be my companion. I will ensure your peace of mind and I will prove it to you!"

Taking the advanced ball off from his waist, Qianye smiled confidently, wrapped his palm around the ball to form a fist and stretched it towards the mini dragon.

"Mee~" Under the influence of his aura that made people subconsciously believe in him, the dejection that always lingered around the snake-like body seemed to be reduced.

The mini dragon stuck its head out and used its undeveloped white horns to push the button in the center of the advanced ball. A red light shot out and collected it back into the sphere.

"Please give me your guidance in the future, Dratini."

He said softly, and put the Poké Ball containing Dratini back to his waist. According to the normal process, he should take Dratini and her predecessors to get to know each other, but Dratini was obviously not ready for this.

It doesn't matter. There is still a long time in the future, and besides, he has another urgent matter to deal with now.

After leaving the room, Qianye looked at Nancy who had been standing by the door for a long time. He showed her the advanced ball on his waist to indicate that the problem with the mini dragon had been solved, and then asked:

  "Where's Miss Alicia?"

"She said she had to leave first because of something urgent, but..."

Nancy said this, her tone as calm as ever, but Qianye could rarely see a hint of anxiety in those red eyes.

"Qian Ye asked me to use my telekinesis to explore this place before... There is a large space underground."

  "Ailijia... is right down here."
