Chapter 4 - The Secret of the Blood Wolf

In the dead of night, the wolf came out of my forehead again.

Amid the swirling green smoke, a huge wolf shadow took shape in the dormitory.

The other children were all fast asleep, their breathing coming and going.

Only I can see it, and only I can feel the murderous aura emanating from it.

"Master, do you want to know your secret?"

The Blood Wolf's voice echoed in my mind, low and mysterious.

It slowly walked to the window, its red eyes staring at the moon in the distance.

"You come from an ancient family of wolves."

"In this family, you are not wolves, but you have the soul of a wolf living in your body."

I sat on the edge of the bed, hanging on every word.

"Maybe it's one wolf, maybe it's a pack of wolves."

"The strongest man in your family once had three wolves living inside him."

The Blood Wolf turned and looked at me, ancient wisdom flashing in his eyes.

"These wolves can transform into physical or intangible forms depending on their master's needs."

"When the virtual body appears, only the owner can see and touch it."

I reached out my hand to touch its fur, and my fingertips touched the soft fur.

The warm touch proved that it existed.

"Rather than saying I am the master, it's better to say that you chose me."

The blood wolf lowered its head and rubbed the palm of my hand with its nose.

"I have always been in the depths of your soul, waiting for your call."

"And your desire to kill awakened me because you wanted to save your sister."

My hands clenched into fists, my nails digging into my palms.

"My name is Blood Wolf."

The blood wolf's body began to emit a dark red light, and the entire dormitory was dyed blood red.

"Then you, the wolf, are the only ones in my body?"

"I don't know. You have to find the answer yourself."

Blood Wolf's voice turned serious.

"There are two wolf spirits deep in your father's soul. That's why he died in the family feud."

My heart skipped a beat and blood rushed through my veins.

"So, who killed my parents?"

Blood Wolf did not answer immediately, but looked at me quietly.

"You are still too weak now. Knowing the truth will only cost you your life."

"When you become stronger, I will tell you everything."

I stood up, walked to the window and stood side by side with Blood Wolf.

The moonlight shone on us, and the shadows of a man and a wolf were cast on the ground.

"Then how can I become stronger?"

"Killing."

Blood Wolf's answer was concise and direct.

"Only through repeated killings can you awaken more abilities."

"Only between life and death can you break through your own limits."

I thought about what happened tonight and the horrified expressions on my adoptive parents' faces.

There was no guilt in my heart, only unprecedented excitement.

"Those who deserve to die should pay the price."

Blood Wolf nodded with satisfaction.

"Very good, this is the awareness that the wolf tribe should have."

"Remember, kindness is a sign of weakness."

"In this world, only the strong can survive."

I closed my eyes and felt the blood flowing through my body.

Something is awakening, something is growing in power.

"I see."

The blood wolf's silhouette began to fade, preparing to return to my body.

"Have a good rest. The orphanage is not a safe place."

I lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

The other children were still sleeping quietly and no one knew what had just happened.

But I know that my life has completely changed from today.

I am no longer the orphan who is bullied by others.

I am a descendant of the wolf clan, and I have ancient and powerful blood flowing in my body.

The wolf head mark on my back felt slightly warm, reminding me that all this was real.

I clenched my fists, my heart filled with anticipation for the future.

Whoever killed my parents, whoever wants to hurt me.

I will make them pay with blood.
