Phase 1: The Silent House
The Adekunle residence in Lagos was a beautiful three-bedroom house, tastefully furnished, yet it carried an unspoken emptiness. Mr. Adekunle Olatunji, a successful banker, and his wife, Wuraola, a fashion designer, had been married for five years, yet their home lacked the laughter of a child.
Wuraola sat by the window, watching children play outside. Her heart ached. She had prayed, fasted, and visited countless doctors, yet her womb remained closed. Olatunji walked in, his tie loosened after a long day at work. He saw the sadness in her eyes and sighed.
"Wura, don't dwell on it. God's time is the best," he said, though his own heart was heavy.
"But five years, Tunji! Five years of waiting, hoping…" Her voice cracked.
He held her close, but the silence between them was louder than words.
That night, Wuraola knelt beside their bed, tears streaming down her face. "God, if it is Your will, bless us with a child."
Little did they know, their lives were about to change.
