Chapter 3 - : The Encounter

Mira has long, dark brown hair that falls in loose waves down her back. Her bright hazel eyes sparkle with warmth and kindness, and her smooth, caramel-colored skin glows with a subtle radiance.

As they walked out of their last class, Mirabel was excited about the end of the day.

"I didn't know classes could be so much fun," she said, holding their hands. "I was going to have a boring day since I didn't have any friends here." "But thanks to you guys it was fun."

"No, we should be thanking you," Angel replied. Vicky nodded in agreement. "You showed us around and totally reduced our stress for the day. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to dodge Isabel all day, and I'm sure she would have troubled my baby Angel," Vicky said, changing her smile to a serious expression when she mentioned Isabel.

"Talk of the devil," Angel said softly, looking at Isabel, who was standing just a few steps away, leaning on the arm of her boyfriend, Dan. "Let's just walk past her like we didn't see her," Vicky whispered, and they all increased their pace.

"Hey, b****! Didn't see me? You've been running away like a coward all day," Isabel said, looking at Angel as they stopped in front of her. "Don't think I didn't notice. Nothing passes me in this school. I think you should be apologizing now. Why are you just looking at me?"

"It was all an accident," Mirabel said, intervening. "She's really sorry."

"Hey, who gave you the right or permission to talk to me?" Isabel snapped, looking at Mirabel. "I was only talking to this shabby-looking one." She glanced at Angel, who was looking down.

"I'm sorry it was a mistake, and I'll make sure it doesn't happen again," Angel responded in a low tone.

"It's better when you're looking down, shabby," Isabel said, her voice dripping with disdain. "I don't like looking at your ugly face."

"Her name is Angel, not shabby, and she's very beautiful," Vicky said, looking Isabel straight in the eye.

"WOW, you're bold, and a little too bold," Isabel said, looking disgusted. "I don't like it."

"She's always like that," Mirabel quickly said to avoid trouble. "Sorry, I'll talk to her."

Isabel changed her position, standing up straight, her hands still wrapped around Dan's arm. "You better fix your friend, or she won't like what's coming," she said angrily, her hand raised to slap Vicky, but Angel stood in front of her.

"I'm sorry, don't mind my friend," Angel said. "She's just trying to stand up for me."

Isabel's hand didn't come down without touching someone, and she would prefer it to be Angel. Just then, Dan spoke up, "Let them go."

Isabel finally dropped her hand and said, "Leave... now." And they slowly walked away.

Dan, who was leaning against the wall, stood up straight and looked at Isabel. "Watch your attitude around me," he said, his voice firm.

"But they pissed me off," Isabel said softly, with anger in her eyes.

"Then deal with them, but not when I'm around," Dan replied before removing his hand from Isabel's grip and walking away.

"They'll pay for this," Isabel mumbled, chasing after Dan.

"And who is that?" Vicky asked as they walked away, making sure they were far from Isabel and Dan. "His voice is Nolso intimidating."

"That's Daniel Smith, He is 17 years old and the second son of the Smith family, the richest family in marigold City," Mirabel explained. "The Smith family owner of Smith's group of companies and other businesses in other cities. He's actually the hottest guy in this school, but he doesn't talk much. Apparently, a single word from him gets girls in Ridgewood Academy crazy. I don't like him because, even though I've never seen him bully anyone, he hangs around bullies like Isabel and her gang, which means he must be no good."

"I've heard of him," Vicky said. "He's more handsome than I expected."

"We shouldn't judge him, though," Angel said. "He might be a good apple in the midst of bad ones." "As you said you said he doesn't talk much and might not actually be a bully. He just helped us get away"

"Yes, that's true," Mirabel replied, "but I still don't like him."

As they reached the parking lot, Mirabel said goodbye. "My ride's here. It was nice meeting you guys today."

A sleek, black Mercedes-Benz pulled up in front of them. The driver stepped out and opened the door, Mira stepped in and the driver zoomed off.

"Did Mira just step into a Mercedes-Benz?" Vicky asked, looking surprised. "I guess she's also one of the rich kids or something, that's why she knows them."

"Let's just ask her about it and not conclude," Angel replied. "And your dad is also rich vicky"

"My dad will never let me use his Mercedes-Benz to school, so I don't think I'm on the same level as her. Besides, I had to beg my dad for a whole week to enroll me here before he agreed."Vicky laughed.

"Okay okay my dad is here," Angel said, walking towards her dad's car. "Will you ride with us, or are you waiting for your driver?"

Vicky shook her head. "No, I'll wait. He told me he'll be a bit late." "He'll be here... bye," Vicky said, waving at Angel as she entered her dad's car.

"How was your first day, baby?" Mr. Gabriel asked as Angel hopped into the car. "It was fine," Angel replied. "I made a friend, and I also think I offended some rich kid." She smiled and then frowned. "Okay, tell me about it," Mr. Gabriel responded, starting the engine and moving.

Angel started explaining everything in detail. After listening carefully, Mr. Gabriel said, "I think Mira is a good kid, and she's going to be a great friend. But I want you to stay away from Isabel. I don't want you to be bullied, so avoid her and make sure you tell me if she does anything to you." He looked concerned. "I didn't want you to attend Ridgewood Academy because I knew something like this might happen. Those rich kids can be spoiled.
