Chapter 1 - The fog and the sky

Yu Hang knew he had lost his temper, and that he had no right to respond that way. Prince Qi Ying looked at him with even more contempt and said: "Do you think a blade like yours could scratch me? Watch your back, because I won't accept it again if a eunuch like you dares to address me while pointing such a miserable and poor weapon at me." Yu Hang looked up at the sky, took the blade, and performed the Dance of a Thousand Crimson Petals, which grazed the prince, leaving a scratch on his arm. He began drawing a circle in the air with his index finger: the vortex was broken by his blade, now seemingly weak. "I no longer fear you, my prince." In the background, the sound of crimson petals preparing to strike Qi Ying. They hit him, but couldn't wound him seriously. The two ended up on their knees, facing each other, both stained with blood, their swords torn. With one last effort, Yu Hang moved toward the prince — but collapsed right next to him. Around them, the crimson petals fell to the ground one after another, like drops of blood on a concubine's white sheet. Fate had chosen its path…
