Chapter 314:Pacific Rim vs. Transformers! Sneak Attack — No Honor in Battle!

Megatronu's arrogant and overbearing attitude made V instinctively frown. Since a warning was useless, they'd have to fight!

Without saying anything more, V promptly ended the video call with Megatronus.

Meanwhile, at the headquarters of the Myriad Realms Base, everyone was busy transmitting information between departments and coordinating various deployments—from hacking into the Transformers universe's Earth networks to managing the global battlefield situation.

Li Ang stood before the central control console's hard-light screen, monitoring all frontline operations.

Not long ago, the scout vanguard from the Universal Megacorp had entered the Transformers universe. Through information retrieved by the Cyber Surveillance Division, Li Ang quickly confirmed their position on the timeline.

They had arrived during the events of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The defeated Decepticons had found their new leader, Megatronus, and were attempting to retake the AllSpark.

Shockwave's recent global broadcast threatening humanity was meant to force them to surrender Sam Witwicky and return the key to the Star Harvester.

However, in Li Ang's view, the warning was useless—humans barely trusted each other, let alone the words of an alien species.

No rational person would willingly hand over Sam. In fact, Megatronu's threats only strengthened the resolve of human governments to keep him hidden.

"Have V's team begin the operation."

"Yes!"

At Li Ang's command, Lucy distributed the pre-arranged battle strategies across Universal Megacorp's divisions, directing the frontline soldiers to commence a series of actions.

Thanks to the Cyber Surveillance Division's advance infiltration of Earth's networks, the Intelligence Division easily pinpointed the locations of all Decepticons.

After locking onto their targets, V, stationed aboard the temporary frontline base—the wanderer-class Dreadnought—immediately issued orders to the Jaeger squad:

[Everyone, it's your time to shine. You've got one hour—wrap up those Decepticons quickly and complete the mission.]

[…]

For their first battle in the Transformers universe, Li Ang had chosen to deploy Jaegers from the Pacific Rim universe against the Decepticons.

Beyond giving the team members a chance to earn accolades, this was also intended to demonstrate Universal Megacorp's formidable strength to the local human population.

Although Universal Megacorp possessed countless advanced weapons capable of eliminating Decepticons in an instant, using towering Jaegers to engage them made for a much more spectacular show.

Humans loved flashy displays. If the Decepticons were defeated in one move, the company's PR team would lose a lot of valuable material.

Political messaging was always crucial. Having Jaegers go head-to-head with Decepticons would also aid future integration efforts.

Moreover, Li Ang had no intention of killing the Decepticons. He preferred to capture them and put them to use.

At this moment, Decepticons across Earth were effortlessly crushing local human military forces.

Conventional firearms were practically useless against them, and although missiles packed power, they struggled to hit such agile targets.

Currently, the only force on Earth capable of opposing the Decepticons was the Autobots.

However, their leader Optimus Prime was dead and awaiting resurrection via the Matrix of Leadership with Sam's help.

Had Universal Megacorp not appeared, the Decepticons would have held a decisive advantage.

Now, however, Universal Megacorp's technology had far surpassed that of the Cybertronians. A single Jaeger—Crimson Typhoon—alone embodied numerous cutting-edge advancements.

For example, its "Antimatter Flame Jet" from the Scientific Nexus Division could incinerate all before it. The company had already mastered many powerful antimatter-based weapons.

Additionally, thanks to the Pandora-derived Axonal Neural System, the Jaegers could now be piloted solo, with sensory and control capabilities enhanced many times over—on par with the Evangelion units from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

While Universal Megacorp's forces moved with precision and efficiency, Shockwave remained dismissive of their warnings.

He ordered his Decepticons to locate the source of the company's signal and exterminate all humans there to set an example.

As a cautious villain, Megatronus had conducted his "market research"—he was well aware of modern human technology.

He figured this so-called Universal Megacorp was merely a delaying tactic by human governments meant to scare him.

However, the moment Megatronu's orders were sent, they were intercepted by the company's AI virus and uploaded to Myriad Realms Base.

Seeing this, Li Ang chuckled. His troops were already hunting the Decepticons, and Megatronus was only helping by sending them into the net.

"This guy still doesn't understand the situation."

Beside him, Lucy sneered coldly. Megatronus and his minions were already being encircled by the approaching Hunter Jaeger squad, yet they remained oblivious.

"Let's see where our Jaeger squad is."

Li Ang asked.

This time, the company had deployed a six-unit Hunter Jaeger squad, three of which were Crimson Typhoon models.

Since integrating the Pacific Rim universe, Universal Megacorp's Research and Development and Exploration divisions had thoroughly upgraded the original Jaeger designs.

To accommodate various battlefield environments, Jaegers were now classified as small, medium, and large.

Small Jaegers stood around 20 meters tall and were piloted solo. Medium ones reached 50 meters—about the height of Ultraman Tiga.

Large Jaegers were true behemoths, towering over 100 meters tall and weighing more than 100,000 tons.

The Jaegers deployed this time were the smaller Crimson Typhoon units. Though only 20 meters tall, they boasted reinforced internal armor, external energy shields, advanced antimatter engines, and gravity field generators.

"The closest unit to a Decepticon is Crimson Typhoon piloted by Tang Weilong," Lucy reported, pulling up live feeds and location data on the hard-light screen.

Within five minutes, combat had already begun at the frontline. Seeing this, Li Ang nodded—V was coordinating the troops very efficiently.

With Decepticons and Autobots averaging around 10 meters in height, fielding 20-meter Jaegers was practically bullying "little kids."

Moreover, these Jaegers were packed with state-of-the-art company tech.

"Let's sit back and enjoy the show. Make sure the PR team captures everything—we need this spectacle to make an impact," Li Ang instructed Lucy.

Since they intended to unify the Transformers universe, winning over the local human population was essential.

Playing the role of savior was critical.

Li Ang didn't want to waste time wrangling with local governments or elites over power-sharing or resource deals. They weren't worth the effort.

A strong demonstration of Universal Megacorp's power and a well-publicized Jaeger-vs-Decepticon battle would suffice. This PR effort would help lower future governance costs.

Next, the company would establish a solid foothold on Earth, build a frontline base, and eliminate both the Decepticons and the Fallen.

Afterward, they would control the Autobots and challenge the Creator civilization of Cybertron!

"Yes."

At the frontline, Tang Weilong piloted Crimson Typhoon 001, having arrived at the designated battlefield.

A top pilot from the Pacific Rim universe, Tang was one of three brothers—Tang Weihu and Tang Weixiang were also core members of the Hunter Jaeger squad.

Originally, the three had piloted a large Jaeger together. Now, thanks to the Axonal Neural System, each could independently command a unit.

[Headquarters, I've spotted a Decepticon!]

Tang reported as he advanced Crimson Typhoon toward the target.

"Proceed with the capture. If they resist, terminate them on the spot!"

From the frontline HQ, V gave the order.

[Understood!]

At V's command, Tang accelerated Crimson Typhoon, leaping forward. As he neared the enemy, he finally got a clear look.

"I've run into Megatron?!"

Recognizing the familiar mechanical form, Tang was slightly stunned.

Before the mission, he had reviewed intel on the Decepticons and Autobots and was somewhat familiar with their profiles.

The Decepticon before him was none other than their leader—Megatron!

Within the Transformers universe, Megatron was one of Cybertron's top combatants, though notorious for bad luck.

Recently revived by his subordinates using shards of the AllSpark, his power had waned somewhat—but he was still formidable.

Realizing he had encountered Megatron, Tang felt as if he'd hit the jackpot. Capturing the Decepticon leader would mean half the mission was already complete!

The path to glory lay before him.

"Looks like I've got trouble!"

Megatron had already detected the approaching threat. Seeing the towering figure before him, he felt an immense pressure.

Crimson Typhoon stood a full 10 meters taller than him—a difference akin to a giant facing a child.

The Jaeger's striking red paint, fearsome serrated saw weapon, and heavily reinforced armor left Megatron feeling unusually small.

Boom!

Crimson Typhoon landed heavily, standing imposingly before Megatron. Dust and shockwaves billowed outward with its arrival.

Seeing this, Megatron took a wary step back and growled, "Who are you? I've never seen anyone like you!"

As a gladiator-hardened warrior of Cybertron, Megatron had faced many strong foes—but had rarely seen a Transformer of this size.

Mistaking the Jaeger for one of the ancient Primes, Megatron remained uncertain—Crimson Typhoon looked too different from any Cybertronian.

From above, Tang solemnly ordered: "Surrender now while you still can. Otherwise, you'll soon be nothing but scrap metal."

Before Megatron could respond, Crimson Typhoon advanced, swinging its left arm's gear saw in a brutal downward strike.

---

Tang Weilong naturally wasn't about to give Megatron a chance to speak. His plan was to end the fight in a single second while the opponent was off guard—what they call in the underworld a "sneak attack"!

Compared to the Jaeger Mechas, the greatest advantage of Transformers was their transformation gears, which allowed them to morph freely and flexibly into all kinds of machines.

Megatron, for instance, could transform into a fighter jet with lightning speed, so fast that even the Storm Crimson wouldn't necessarily be able to catch it.

Since Tang Weilong wanted to complete the mission efficiently, he couldn't afford to fight Megatron head-on by the book, giving the Decepticon the chance to transform and escape.

He wasn't about to waste energy and time foolishly chasing after it, only to get tangled up in some clichéd mess. That kind of tired, hackneyed plotline wasn't something he intended to follow.

In short—cripple this Decepticon first!

Facing the Storm Crimson, which was twice its size and utterly lacking in chivalry, Megatron couldn't stop cursing to itself. It had never seen a Transformer this shameless.

Storm Crimson was moving so fast that even Megatron's most advanced optical sensors couldn't track its movements.

Caught off guard by this sudden attack, Megatron had no choice but to forcibly raise its arms in an attempt to block the incoming strike.

Bang!!

In an instant, Megatron felt a powerful impact traveling from its arms throughout its entire frame, forcing it to its knees with a heavy thud.

"Damn it! You son of a—"

Megatron glared up furiously at the towering Storm Crimson, its trembling mechanical parts silently screaming that its body was on the verge of collapse.

If it didn't find a way to escape right now, it would soon be torn apart completely!

Seeing that he had successfully pinned Megatron down, Tang Weilong wasted no time. He immediately activated the gear cutter—sharp spinning blades whirred to life, emitting a loud, buzzing noise.

Under immense drive pressure, the spinning blades sparked with intense heat. In just a few seconds, Megatron's arms were completely severed.

Then, piloting the Storm Crimson, Tang Weilong delivered a powerful kick, sending Megatron flying dozens of meters away—rendering the opponent utterly helpless throughout the entire process.

At that moment, staring at its armless body, Megatron was completely stunned. It had never faced such a terrifying opponent.

A being of boundless brute strength and equipped with a high-temperature gear cutter—this was practically the "Butcher of Death" among Transformers!

'Where the hell did this monster come from?!'

Struggling to its feet, Megatron realized that if it didn't flee now, it never would.

With that, it began transforming. Accompanied by the grinding of gears, Megatron shifted from humanoid form into a fighter jet.

But there was no way Tang Weilong was going to just stand by and watch this happen. Without a word, he extended his arm, raised his palm cannon, and fired a hard-light missile.

Boom—!

The missile struck Megatron mid-transformation, instantly rendering the already severely damaged Decepticon completely inoperable—dead in the air.

Watching the sparking, twitching Megatron, Tang Weilong immediately reported back to headquarters: "Report—Storm Crimson 001 has completed the mission!"

"..."

Whoosh—!

As Tang Weilong was reporting the battle status and awaiting further orders, Starscream—having received Megatron's distress signal—arrived nearby.

Starscream was Megatron's lieutenant and the second-in-command of the Decepticons. However, his feelings toward Megatron were complicated; Starscream had long coveted leadership of the Decepticons.

But Megatron's immense popularity and prestige had left him with no opportunity.

Now, seeing Megatron once again utterly wrecked, Starscream was stunned. He had gone to great lengths to rescue Megatron—how had his boss ended up dead again in the blink of an eye?

Looking down at the Storm Crimson below, Starscream was also baffled by this mysterious "Transformer." Seeing its size comparable to that of Megatronus [The Fallen more formal title, referring here to one of the 13 original Primes], he instinctively assumed this was some unknown ancient Prime—one of the 13 Apostles on par with Megatronus.

"I have to report this to Lord Megatronus immediately!"

Witnessing Megatron's death firsthand, Starscream actually felt little sorrow—after all, he had long wanted to replace him.

Now his wish had come true. But the sudden appearance of this Storm Crimson might well jeopardize Megatronus's grand plan to detonate a star.

That thought dampened Starscream's initial joy.

At once, Starscream attempted to contact Megatronus in outer space—but failed.

It turned out that Universal Megacorp, from the moment it arrived on Earth, had deployed its Cyber Monitoring Division and elite hackers to seize control of all global signals.

This included the ship where Megatronus was located—Earth's entire information flow was now intercepted and controlled by Universal Megacorp.

At this point, neither Starscream, unable to send messages, nor Megatronus, unable to receive them, had any clue what was happening here.

By the time Starscream and Megatronus finally realized something was wrong—that Earth really did have an organization like Universal Megacorp—it was already too late!
