Chapter 127 - Nothing Left to Live For?

"What's wrong? Why do you look like this all morning?"

During break, Tohka looked curiously at Miku Izayoi, who had a completely dejected expression, and asked in confusion. She couldn't figure out what was going on with her—why did she look like her soul had left her?

"N-no, it's nothing. Tohka, don't you think the teacher's lecture is really hard to understand? What are we even doing this for? I don't get any of it…"

Miku, looking as if she had lost the will to live, lifted her head slightly to glance at Tohka before collapsing onto her desk again.

"Uh, it's not that hard." Tohka looked at her helplessly.

She didn't think it was difficult at all.

After all, as a former college student in the Celestial Empire, although she'd forgotten most of it, that didn't mean she didn't understand.

She could recall most of the knowledge just by listening, so in her view, it wasn't very hard.

"Hehehe…"

All Miku could do was give a wry smile.

But at that moment, someone walked in, wearing a Spider-Man mask and staring around the classroom.

"How do I look? Am I handsome or what?"

As soon as he entered, the guy struck an exaggeratedly flamboyant pose, showing off in front of the class.

"Uh… who is that?"

Even Miku Izayoi was dumbfounded at the sudden appearance of this guy in a Spider-Man mask.

She had met the real Spider-Man before.

And although Tohka hadn't said anything, Miku had already guessed his real identity.

She then turned her gaze to the other side of the classroom—toward Peter Parker.

His expression was just as brilliant, clearly never expecting this kind of situation.

"Thompson, the guy who's always bullying Peter Parker.

Seriously, if he knew his idol was the one he constantly bullies, I bet the look on his face would be amazing."

Tohka's face was full of black lines as she looked at the suddenly appearing Thompson.

She had no idea what to say—was he trying to be funny?

"How about it, Miss Tohka, do I look like Spider-Man?"

At that moment, the guy ran up to Tohka.

Although his eyes couldn't be seen through the mask, she could hear the hopeful tone in his voice.

It was no secret that Tohka knew Spider-Man, so he clearly came to her because of that.

"Uh… not bad, I guess. But out of all the superheroes, is Spider-Man the only one you admire?"

Tohka gave him a helpless glance, then looked over at Peter, who also wore a very colorful expression.

She finally said in a somewhat conflicted tone.

Technically speaking, she was a superhero too, but no one had admired her like this yet.

"Of course! I admire Spider-Man the most.

Even Iron Man isn't like him—he helps people on the streets, one by one.

Iron Man just hides at home all day. Who knows what shady stuff that guy's doing?"

Without hesitation, Thompson shared his reasons for admiring Spider-Man.

But he couldn't resist dissing Iron Man.

Only after saying it did he realize the person in front of him was the Stark family's heiress.

And more importantly—she was super strong.

If she got mad and beat him up…

Alright, the bulky Thompson immediately gave a bootlicking smile to the much smaller Tohka.

"Hahaha… sorry, I didn't mean that, really. I like Iron Man too—he's my idol as well."

"Forget it. That guy's used to being trashed. So, you don't need to look so scared—I'm not angry." Tohka waved it off casually.

Tony had incredibly thick skin.

But now she was curious.

"So, if you admire Spider-Man that much, do you know what he looks like?"

Since the two of them were talking pretty loudly, everyone in the class heard them.

And once Tohka's question came out, all eyes turned toward them.

Most students were just curious.

But Peter Parker was desperately winking at Tohka, silently begging her not to reveal his identity.

"Well, let me think—he must be a handsome, dashing…"

It had to be said, Spider-Man clearly held a grand place in Thompson's heart.

Once the topic came up, he launched into an enthusiastic monologue.

Peter, hearing the praise, couldn't help but reveal a proud expression—he obviously enjoyed the compliments.

"Uh, have you ever considered that he might be a guy in his thirties?"

Before he could finish, Tohka splashed a bucket of cold water on him.

His face froze on the spot—he thought Tohka was being serious.

"Or maybe a man covered in scars, or an effeminate type, or…"

Tohka wasn't done—she was in the mood and continued piling it on.

"Stop! Please, I beg you—stop!

Why don't you just say he's a pig under that mask?!"

The more she spoke, the more ridiculous it got.

Even though Thompson wasn't some swooning schoolgirl, he still felt crushed.

Of course, he still made sure to toss out a snarky comeback.

As for Peter Parker—while relieved that Tohka didn't out him, he was also stunned.

Was it really okay to roast him like this right to his face?

"Uh… alright."

Seeing Thompson's reaction, Tohka finally stopped.

But if she remembered correctly—

She seemed to have read somewhere that Marvel's deranged writers actually created a "Spider-Ham."

After all, Marvel often feminized their heroes…

And not just that—some of them even got turned into animals.

"By the way, can I ask you a favor?"

At that moment, Thompson suddenly looked at Tohka with pleading eyes.

She was baffled—what did this guy want now?

"I want you to find Spider-Man and get his autograph for me."

As he spoke, he took off his mask and handed it to Tohka.

"Uh, alright. Leave it to me. Pfft—hahaha, leave it to me!"

Just looking at Peter Parker's expression made Tohka want to laugh.

This guy had bullied Spider-Man for so long. But lately, maybe due to his growing admiration for Spidey, he had toned it down at school. At least he wasn't as arrogant as before.
