Chapter 128 - Tohka as an Instructor?

"You saw that guy—go on, give your fan an autograph. Bwahahaha, I'm dying of laughter. Just imagine the look on his face if he finds out who you really are."

Right after school ended, Spider-Man wandered over to Tohka.

But before he could say anything, Tohka tossed Thompson's Spider-Man mask to him.

Just thinking about it made her laugh, leaving Miku Izayoi confused and baffled.

"Sigh… alright then."

Spider-Man was also a bit helpless.

He never expected that guy to be one of his hardcore fans.

Still, thankfully, Thompson was just curious and hadn't pressed Tohka to reveal his identity.

"By the way, why aren't you out being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?

Why are you coming to see me?

Or is it that Fury's not letting you run around anymore and wants you to train or something?" Tohka looked at him suspiciously.

In her experience, whenever this guy came looking for her, it wasn't for anything good.

And considering Kingpin had used the Graviton to fight her last time, which was definitely related to Spider-Man, she was hesitant.

If it turned into another huge battle, she really didn't want to deal with it.

"No, no, it's not that. I wanted to ask if you'd come train with us. After all, Fury doesn't have many people who can go toe-to-toe with us right now, and the others are all busy with their own missions."

Scratching the back of his head, Spider-Man gave his reason.

"Hmm, why not ask Tony? If I remember right, he's been keeping an eye on you, hasn't he? Like when the Lizard Doctor incident happened, he also showed up to save the day."

Tohka suddenly remembered just how much Tony seemed to care about this kid. Honestly… she didn't want to say more about that vibe.

"Tony? We were too embarrassed to ask him. He's supposedly locked in his lab working on new armor. So, we had no choice but to come to you."

"As for Captain America, he still hasn't fully recovered yet, so you're the only one left." Spider-Man explained with a shrug.

Tohka was speechless.

Tony was definitely researching new weapons using her energy.

She was honestly curious to see if he would eventually create an anti-Tohka suit.

If she remembered right, any time Tony made a counter-suit, it was tailored to crush its target.

So, she was kind of looking forward to seeing the final result.

She might not be able to tear a Gundam apart with her bare hands, but smashing an Iron Man suit would still feel great.

"What's with that look? We're asking you to train us, not blow up the helicarrier."

Spider-Man was getting nervous under her increasingly dangerous gaze. His spider-sense was screaming—if she kept thinking like that, something terrible was definitely going to happen.

"Mm, nothing. Since you asked, let's go."

Snapped out of her thoughts by Spider-Man's interruption, Tohka dropped the subject. She activated her armor and flew up into the sky.

Then she turned to Miku Izayoi, "Come on, let's head to Fury's helicarrier. There's lots of fun stuff up there."

"Carry me." To Tohka's surprise, Miku demanded to be carried up. And she stared directly at her with an intense expression...

"Haven't you already recovered? I remember you can fly too." Tohka looked at her, speechless.

Just yesterday, Miku's power had stabilized.

As the Ninth Spirit—Diva—her abilities had returned.

Yesterday she even claimed she could control all of New York if she wanted, and tried to convince Tohka to help her test it out—though Tohka shut her down.

"Carry. Me. Up!" Miku stared at her and enunciated each word clearly.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! You two aren't… no way… I—what the heck, are you trying to kill me?" Spider-Man suddenly shouted beside them.

But before he could finish, Tohka blasted a sword beam at him.

Thanks to his spider-sense, he easily dodged it—it wasn't a lethal blow.

Still, seeing the chunk of building that got sliced off in the distance, he broke out in a cold sweat.

If that hit him directly? He'd be toast.

"Alright, let's go."

Satisfied that she'd shut him up, Tohka picked up Miku and flew into the sky.

She planned to bring Miku up to the floating helicarrier.

After that day, Fury had given both her and Tony limited access permissions.

At least enough for them to locate the carrier on their own.

"Hey! Wait for me! They already went up! Don't leave me down here—I can't fly!" Spider-Man yelled from below.

After all, spiders can't fly.

"..."

"This is so unfair! Slow down a little!"

Tohka held Miku in her arms, activating a wind shield around her to block the breeze, and sped off toward the floating helicarrier.

As for poor Spider-Man?

Tohka didn't have a free hand, so, he had to stick a webline onto her armor and get dragged behind.

Because she was moving fast and in unpredictable directions,

He was whipped around like a roller coaster—only more extreme.

"You're a grown man, geez. Why are you making such a fuss?"

Tohka didn't care about him at all.

The guy had a tough body.

He could fight people in midair with no protection—this was nothing.

"So, this is the helicarrier… it's amazing."

Soon, they arrived at the carrier's location.

The weather was bad, so it wasn't cloaked and sat above the clouds in plain view.

This was Miku's first time seeing the massive airborne behemoth from the outside.

"You're here, Tohka."

As soon as they stepped aboard, they were greeted by Nick Fury, already waiting.

Standing near him were the same people from earlier in the day—now all in uniform.

"Though you're about the same age, I'd like you to help train them.

As for Miss Miku Izayoi, this is a classified facility—please refrain from using your powers here."

But Fury's attention was soon caught by the sight of Miku in Tohka's arms.

Honestly, compared to those destructive lunatics, it was people like Miku who gave him a headache.
