Chapter 254 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [254]

"Yes, great master! I witnessed that battle, that earth-shaking battle!" The Daemonette nodded and spoke.

"Oh! Then let me see!"

Slaanesh looked at the Daemonette beside them, and used their divine power to read her thoughts, seeing how the Slaanesh Assassin utterly crushed an Emperor's Avatar and a giant Custodian.

This battle, especially the aerial combat, fascinated Slaanesh. It was an incredibly spectacular fight, and even made Slaanesh feel a rare sense of joy.

In this dull universe, Slaanesh had never seen such a magnificent aerial battle. The mysterious offspring's combat power gave Slaanesh a new understanding.

Such power!

Even among all their Greater Daemons and Daemon Princes, this offspring was in a league of their own.

No one is their match!

And to think, besides the Emperor's Avatars, that guy created a giant Custodian. Such technology is terrifying. Emperor, where did you get this fearsome technology?

This cannot go unanswered!

Chaos Warmaster Abaddon also seems to have acquired some kind of gigantification ability. Slaanesh has also been paying attention to recent happenings with the Chaos Warmaster.

Looks like I need to study this new ability too—if I fall too far behind, I won't keep up with the times. For now, I can't capture the Emperor's Avatars, but maybe I can give this offspring a new mission.

"Mother! I can defeat these Emperor's Avatars, but can't capture them alive, because as soon as they're seriously injured, the Emperor will recall them remotely. It's extremely difficult to kill or catch one unless you can give me something to trap them," the Slaanesh Assassin said.

Indeed, capturing an Emperor's Avatar is no simple task. Even Trazyn, with time-stopping powers, could only collect two Avatars thanks to Rhes and the Emperor's plans.

Soon, Rhodes also plans to team up with Guilliman to deal with the Necrons. To face them, one must be fully prepared.

"I see, I'll think of something! Hold off on that mission for now. I'll give you a simpler task instead. Complete it, and I'll grant you some divine enhancement," Slaanesh said.

"Great Mother! What is my new mission?" the Slaanesh Assassin asked.

"You know the Chaos Warmaster Abaddon, right?" Slaanesh asked.

"I do. He is the chosen of the four Chaos Gods, commander of the Black Legion—the most powerful Chaos Space Marine force, with countless Chaos Sorcerers and mortal followers," the Slaanesh Assassin replied.

Rhodes was also curious about Abaddon—not sure if he had become a Daemon Prince of one of the gods, or just ascended to undivided Chaos.

"Not long ago, on a frozen planet, Abaddon fought a female Primarch. This Primarch was incredibly strong. Abaddon was no match for her, and was even destroyed by her," Slaanesh said.

Rhodes sneered at this—so you want to target my Elena?

But it made sense. She was the only female Primarch. Slaanesh and the other Chaos Gods would surely be after Elena.

Know yourself and your enemy for victory! Looks like I'll need to plant spies among the other three Chaos Gods too.

"Mother, do you want me to capture the female Primarch to present to you?" the Slaanesh Assassin asked.

Capturing his master's woman if he took this task, he could always work it his way.

"Heh, sorry, that mission isn't for you, but for me. I want that female Primarch—she's my new little sister, and I'll handle her," said Fulgrim, standing beside Slaanesh, with a cold laugh.

With the ability to grow gigantic and easily crush Abaddon, she's the best toy. Fulgrim was eager to enter realspace now, to capture this new sister.

"What a pity! This mission seemed easy; I was hoping for a break," the Slaanesh Assassin said.

"This task is not easy, my child. That female Primarch is accompanied by Roboute Guilliman. Guilliman will be your future rival. I look forward to you defeating him and bringing him to my palace," Slaanesh said.

Originally, Slaanesh wanted Fulgrim to continue dueling Guilliman, watching the brotherly carnage.

But Guilliman awakened his godly power a month ago, gained a vessel for his minor god soul, and reached the peak of the material universe—no weaker than some lesser Star Gods. Fulgrim, though a Primarch and now a Slaanesh Daemon Prince, had already had his minor god power claimed by Slaanesh.

After the ascension, they are bound to the Warp and can never fully regain a fitting body or unleash a minor god's full power.

Fulgrim looked unhappy, his face darkening.

"Master! Trust me, even if Guilliman is stronger now, he still won't be my match. If I beat him once, I can do it again and again," Fulgrim said.

"You should heed Mother's advice and give up the mission. You're too weak," the Slaanesh Assassin sneered.

He wanted to anger the Daemon Prince and teach him a lesson for targeting his mistress.

Fulgrim's face grew uglier. The once-handsome daemon Primarch now had huge horns, demon wings, clawed hands, and hooved legs, his body swelling to fifteen meters.

If his body were red and had butcher's nails, he'd be a dead ringer for Angron.

This was a Daemon Prince's battle form, like a Greater Daemon. Only top Daemon Princes, heavily blessed by the gods, could transform like this.

Though there are many Daemon Princes, their power varies. The weak ones can be beaten by a strong Chaos Champion, and some have even been banished by a squad of mortal Astartes—but Primarchs are different.

Even before ascension, Primarchs vastly outclassed ordinary Daemon Princes.

"Take back what you said, or even if you're the master's child, I'll teach you a lesson. Do you think I haven't grown stronger in ten thousand years? Last time I fought Guilliman, he hadn't even seen this form," Fulgrim said.

"You? I'll give you a handicap—one hand behind my back—so no one says I bullied you," the Slaanesh Assassin taunted, drawing his purple daemon sword.

The ascended Primarch looked even uglier, glancing at Slaanesh, as if asking for permission.

Slaanesh watched with interest, not stopping them—in fact, looking gleeful, as if to say, "Fight! Fight! This is my favorite show!"

"Great master, may I discipline your offspring a bit?" Fulgrim asked.

"Mother, maybe I should discipline your little dog and show it who's boss," the Slaanesh Assassin retorted.

"I look forward to this fight! Whoever wins will get a special reward," Slaanesh said, lazily reclining on their bed with a laugh.

The Slaanesh Assassin smiled, beckoning to Fulgrim.

Fulgrim didn't waste words, drawing his runic daemon sword as the other daemons backed away to watch.

"Don't blink! The battle will be over in an instant," the Slaanesh Assassin said.

The previous two fights with the Emperor's Avatars were under orders, and neither side fought to the death. Even against the Custodian, he hadn't gone all out.

Even in the last attack on Commorragh, he didn't use his full strength—let alone now, after being empowered by his master.

And inside Slaanesh's palace in the Warp, his divine power was even stronger.

"That's what I was going to say," Fulgrim replied coldly, charging at the Slaanesh Assassin as a purple-red blur.
