Chapter 255 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [255]

Seeing the charging Daemon Primarch Fulgrim, the Slaanesh Assassin sneered.

His purple daemon sword traced a perfect arc, instantly severing one of Fulgrim's arms.

Even an unenhanced Ace Killer weighs tens of thousands of tons, with a wrist strength of 150,000 tons, a grip of 55,000 tons, and monstrous speed.

He can walk underwater at Mach speeds, and underground as well.

In the air, he can fly at Mach 20—his benchmark is Ace from the Ultra Brothers!

Empowered, he can now move at Mach 100 in the air. Only super-lifeforms can threaten him, especially in the Warp.

He doesn't have to follow physical laws—so as a Slaanesh Assassin, he can move at supersonic speeds.

His jumps are kilometers long—ordinary humans can't even see him move. Fulgrim couldn't react at all, seeing just a purple afterimage, and then his arm was on the ground.

"You—you—how is this possible?" Fulgrim was in total disbelief.

His swordsmanship ranks among the top Primarchs. He believes himself the best swordsman—even Lion El'Jonson can't compare, and the rest are unworthy.

He killed a Primarch, Ferrus Manus—if not for a certain someone's resurrection, he'd have claimed two.

He was confident, thinking that while the opponent was huge, his speed must be slow, and he could use his own to toy with him.

But reality slapped him in the face. Even his nanosecond reflexes couldn't track the opponent—this was beyond supersonic!

And not just a few times faster, either!

"Didn't see it? I'll slow down for you!" The Slaanesh Assassin rested his sword on his shoulder, taunting.

Fulgrim roared, swinging his sword and attacking again.

In the Warp, with abundant Chaos energy, Fulgrim's severed arm quickly regenerated.

But he still only saw afterimages, unable to touch the Slaanesh Assassin, and was smacked hard in the chest, and sent flying.

The purple daemon sword was a one-handed sword to the Slaanesh Assassin, but to Fulgrim, it looked like a greatsword, even a massive door.

Fulgrim roared, his body swelling.

He drew more Chaos energy, matching the Slaanesh Assassin's 56-meter height, and attacked again.

"You think matching my size will help you? In front of me, you're nothing," the Slaanesh Assassin laughed, punching Fulgrim in the face.

He even put away his sword, beating Fulgrim with his fists.

In Slaanesh's palace, Fulgrim couldn't die no matter what.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The palace echoed with blows and Fulgrim's screams.

Poor Fulgrim was beaten until his father wouldn't recognize him.

His face was swollen like a pig's head. His horns were ripped off, his wings torn off.

"What, can't get up? I'm not done practicing my boxing!" The Slaanesh Assassin cracked his neck, fists together, smirking.

A crowd of Slaanesh handmaidens and daemonettes cheered wildly, even Slaanesh herself was rolling with laughter.

Daemons never pity the weak—losing means you're trash!

The ridicule was torture to Fulgrim.

"I'll kill you!"

Fulgrim roared, his runic daemon sword charged with Slaanesh's power, unleashing a massive energy wave.

"Dare you not dodge!"

He tried to provoke the Slaanesh Assassin into taking the hit, hoping to kill him or at least regain some face.

"I'll make you admit defeat," the Slaanesh Assassin said, stabbing his sword into the ground and opening his arms.

A strange purple glow flashed on his chest. Fulgrim's Chaos energy wave was instantly absorbed by the Slaanesh Assassin's chest light.

Then he burped in satisfaction.

"Got more? Hit me with it!"

The room went awkwardly silent.

Fulgrim stared, unable to believe what he saw. The wave could have killed an Alpha-level psyker, but this guy absorbed it easily—a power from the master!

Wait!

The master's power... could it be?

"You—you can absorb the master's divine power!"

"You think using my mother's power will hurt me? I'm not like you daemons and mortals. My mother's divine power is innate. I can control it perfectly—it can't harm me. You're just wasting energy," the Slaanesh Assassin replied.

Honestly, with his current Slaanesh divine power, unless Slaanesh herself attacked, no one using Slaanesh's power could harm him—it would only recharge him.

Even ordinary psychic energy was useless to him—that's the benefit of Chaos godly power.

Even Mephiston's full strength was useless against him.

The Slaanesh Assassin flashed to Fulgrim and grabbed his throat, and his chest light glowed, draining Slaanesh's divine energy from Fulgrim.

Fulgrim trembled, eyes wide.

His power, accumulated over ten thousand years of service to Slaanesh, was being forcibly taken.

"No! Don't take my power! That's my master's gift—ah!" Fulgrim was weak and helpless.

All his godly power, even that given when he first fell, was being stolen.

Desperate, Fulgrim looked at Slaanesh with a pitiful puppy-dog gaze, begging for rescue.

"Alright, alright! My child, don't drain him to death. I promised you a gift—let him go!" Slaanesh finally stopped the duel.

Just as expected.

Hearing Slaanesh, the Slaanesh Assassin tossed Fulgrim aside.

"Since Mother has spoken, I'll spare your life!" the Slaanesh Assassin said.

The stolen power boosted his Slaanesh energy by more than half!

Fulgrim was extremely weak, pale, and reverted to his 3.6-meter Primarch form—without Slaanesh's intervention, he'd have died.

He no longer doubted this purple giant was the master's true child, fundamentally different from mere followers.

The Slaanesh Assassin approached Slaanesh to receive his reward.

Meanwhile, Rhodes, watching from his system space, was nervous Slaanesh would say:

Come, my child. Tonight, you'll stay and let me make up for the motherly love you missed all these years.

If that was the reward, he'd have to make the Slaanesh Assassin suffer a bit for his sake.

"My child, it's time for your real reward. Your weapon and armor are forged from a special metal I've never seen. You only crudely enchanted them with my power. I can upgrade them to true artifacts, as your reward," Slaanesh said, caressing the armor and sword.

Such a strange metal, with dimensional energy—not from the material universe.
