Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: Is It Wrong to Encounter Someone in a Dungeon?

Chapter 125: Is It Wrong to Encounter Someone in a Dungeon?

"Robert!"

Hearing the scream, Virt Gold immediately rushed over.

He drew [Troll] with extreme speed and, in a mere few seconds of normal summoning, intercepted the battle-axe that was about to cleave the Minotaur in two, blocking the downward chop!

Robert, shielded by the Troll, was almost scared out of his wits, his legs trembling, frozen on the spot.

Virt hurriedly grabbed his arm and sprinted backward.

"Moo!"

The Minotaur, even taller than the Troll, suddenly inhaled and roared, its arm muscles bulging, power surging from its spine as it fiercely brought the battle-axe down!

"Splat!"

The Troll's magic power sprayed out like blood. The battle-axe, coming down from its left shoulder, cleaved off its entire left arm!

Virt and Robert didn't dare to look back. The Troll's miserable cries continued; it was no match for the bull-headed creature!

Only moments later, Virt felt the [Troll] card in his hand tremble slightly. Specks of starlight gathered, reforming into the Troll's image.

But by now, this magic spirit card was dim and devoid of light, requiring an extremely long time to recover.

Virt knew this was bad, his hand involuntarily clutching the [Forbidden Love] card.

He had secretly tried it after entering the secret passage; [Forbidden Love]'s effect was still there. The little mist figure could still respond to his call and was even guiding him.

It was just that he had suffered a loss earlier and didn't dare follow the little figure's guidance.

But now, facing the terrifying Minotaur, he could only rely on this [Forbidden Love] card that had once betrayed him.

This made him feel exceptionally powerless.

...

Nine-thirty.

Though Dark Demon had started later, he sketched the mural faster than Emma.

He had long discovered his talent for drawing, and coupled with his almost unnaturally steady fingers, his copying was both fast and accurate.

Only after finishing the sketch did he begin to carefully observe the entire mural from beginning to end.

The entire mural depicted a very ancient story, with a style somewhat reminiscent of Egyptian murals.

First painting: Ragged commoners mined a cartful of ore from a mountain.

Second painting: A half-naked blacksmith forged the ore into standard square bricks.

Third painting: A merchant in plain clothes sold baskets of square bricks to a noble.

Fourth painting: A lavishly dressed noble used the square bricks to build a tower on an altar.

Fifth painting: Thousands of humans prayed beneath the altar for the descent of a certain existence.

Sixth painting: A shining, colossal beast emerged from a black hole in the sky during the sacrifice.

Seventh painting: The ferocious and greedy colossal beast roared and devoured all the sacrifices and humans.

Eighth painting: The blood and corpses of humans formed a grotesque pattern on the ground.

A total of eight paintings.

Dark Demon had spent the most effort on the eighth painting, but he had managed to copy it with considerable detail.

He felt that what this painting was trying to express was particularly bizarre and also held great research value.

When unsure if the mural would disappear, copying it was the best solution.

"Dark Demon!"

Diana, who had started wandering around after failing to find new murals, suddenly ran back.

Dark Demon turned his head with some confusion.

Diana panted, "Did you hear a cow mooing? A really fierce one?"

Dark Demon was about to say he hadn't, but then a cow's moo indeed came.

"Moo!"

That sound wasn't just fierce; it was super fierce!

Dark Demon subconsciously reached for his House Card, then realized the sound was still some distance away.

"Did someone release a magic spirit?"

"Surely a monster hasn't been born in this secret passage?"

Both thoughts flashed past.

Dark Demon immediately put his notebook into his shoulder bag, then glanced at Emma, who was still drawing, and reminded her, "Time to go!"

Emma only glanced at him quickly and continued sketching, but her pace had clearly quickened.

Dark Demon was about to say more when he suddenly noticed the leftmost mural beginning to fade. A thought struck him, and he immediately said, "You won't finish it; I'll lend you mine when we get back."

But upon hearing this, Emma gritted her teeth and became even more focused.

"Moo!"

The sound suddenly drew closer.

Dark Demon's expression changed slightly. He immediately grabbed Emma's shoulder and said gravely, "It might be a monster; don't be stubborn."

Emma froze.

This time, she quickly put away her pen and placed it in her bag.

Dark Demon sighed slightly in relief and immediately shouted, "Let's go, find a crowded place as soon as possible, look for upperclassmen..."

Diana and Rose were very obedient at this moment. The four of them quickly left the corridor, the mural behind them disappearing at a visible rate.

But just as the four turned a corner, they suddenly heard the urgent sound of footsteps and panting from beyond the wall.

Dark Demon listened carefully and quickly recognized Robert's screams and Virt's angry roars, as well as the sound of something heavy crashing to the ground.

He immediately realized that the bull monster, whether a magic spirit or a monster, was chasing Virt and Robert!

A conflicted expression appeared on Dark Demon's face.

Having just experienced the Goddess crisis, he really didn't want to put himself in danger again.

However, Virt and Robert were, after all, his classmates.

Just as he was struggling with this, Emma also recognized the two voices and exclaimed, "It's Virt and Robert!"

And then, Robert's joyful voice came from next door: "It's Emma! We're saved..."

But almost an instant later, Virt's voice overpowered Robert's: "Don't come over, Emma! Run!"

Yet it was precisely this "Run!" that made Emma decide.

She looked left and right, then immediately rushed towards the fork leading next door!

However, someone was faster than her.

Dark Demon lowered his head and sprinted, his lips moving rapidly.

The moment he overtook Emma, the alluring fallen angel materialized in a flash of light, running alongside him.

"LadyDevimon, please."

"No problem!"

...

The black cloth drifting from LadyDevimon's left shoulder cackled like an evil spirit.

Her tattered cloak flew like wings.

Her left hand's giant claws were sharp and menacing.

A dark aura silently leaked out.

It was hard to imagine this was a powerful being that could be summoned in mere seconds!

Emma's expression froze, and she subconsciously stopped.

Diana and Rose overtook her from either side, unhesitatingly chasing after Dark Demon.

The newborn king of the labyrinth probably never imagined that merely chasing two little mice would bring upon it the judgment of a fallen angel.

Dark Demon turned the corner at the fork and, upon opening his eyes, saw the Minotaur with its battle-axe raised high!

"Dark Pulse!"

LadyDevimon abruptly raised her arms, forming a large heart shape in front of her chest.

Dark power condensed at high speed, transforming into countless bat-like dark substances and releasing them.

Amidst Virt's and Robert's screams, the swarm of black bats flew over their heads, pouncing on the Minotaur's face.

The ferocious bull-headed monster shrieked because of this, wildly swinging its battle-axe under the drive of its chaotic brain.

LadyDevimon tapped her toes and flew forward. Her left hand's demon claw contracted and transformed into a "Darkness Spear," piercing through a gap in the battle-axe's swing!

An instant later, LadyDevimon, appearing behind the Minotaur, knelt on one knee, her left hand's spear reverting to a claw, her cloak settling quietly behind her.

"Boom!"

A blood hole, two meters in diameter, appeared in the Minotaur's chest and abdomen.

Its movements suddenly stopped, the light in its eyes dimming.

Then it fell backward to the ground.

...

Virt and Robert watched in disbelief as the Minotaur was instantly killed, the breath they had been holding suddenly released.

Robert abruptly collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat.

Virt was also staggering.

"Are you alright?"

Dark Demon, walking past them, asked casually.

But both their brains were already overloaded; they just stared blankly without responding.

Dark Demon didn't mind and walked straight towards the Minotaur's corpse.

"It didn't turn into light. Could it be a real monster?"

The Minotaur's corpse lay quietly on the ground, its giant battle-axe fallen beside it.

This king of the labyrinth was much weaker than he had imagined, a bit of a letdown.

Thinking about how cautious he had been just now, Dark Demon couldn't help but feel helpless.

In front of him, LadyDevimon returned to his side, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, "Master, I'm about to leak."
