Chapter 126: We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day
Dark Demon's expression froze; it took him a good while to react.
He silently recalled LadyDevimon into her card before continuing to examine the Minotaur's corpse.
LadyDevimon wasn't something that couldn't be revealed, but he didn't want too many people to know that LadyDevimon had evolved from his familiar.
Although familiars were a type of magic spirit, they were extremely special and theoretically had no offensive capabilities.
To grant a familiar offensive capabilities, a magic card called [Curse Cage] had to be used.
[Curse Cage] could temporarily seal familiars, golems, and other pseudo-life forms into a card for use as a magic spirit card.
...
The Minotaur's corpse didn't remain as Dark Demon had expected.
Roughly three minutes later, it, like the mural before it, gradually disappeared.
However, unlike the mural which vanished without a trace, the Minotaur at least left behind an extremely coarse bull hair. Who knew which part it was from?
Dark Demon picked up the bull hair with two fingers and examined it carefully, feeling rather speechless.
But having this hair was better than nothing.
He quickly accepted this fact and carefully put the bull hair away.
Only then did he turn to face the others.
Virt and Robert had recovered.
Emma was leaning against the wall alone, flipping through her notes.
Diana and Rose were giggling, talking about something.
Dark Demon walked over and said, "Let's go back; there's class tomorrow."
So the group walked towards the secret passage exit together.
Halfway there, a palm-sized "little pixie" phased through the wall and found them.
This "little pixie," looking like a miniature version of Professor Lily, flew around them twice and then began to lead the way.
Diana chased after the "little pixie" like a kitten chasing a dragonfly.
Dark Demon and the others couldn't help but quicken their pace.
They soon exited the secret passage.
Outside the secret passage, many people were already on their way back to their dormitories.
The "little pixies" that had led them out of the secret passage were densely packed in mid-air, their rapidly vibrating wings creating a noisy "buzz."
Though a single "little pixie" looked particularly cute, hundreds squeezed together could only inspire terror.
Hmm, should one say, as expected of Professor Lily's handiwork?
Dark Demon felt his scalp was about to explode.
...
After finally returning to his dormitory with much difficulty, he hurriedly wished Diana and Rose goodnight, then locked the door, washed up, brushed his teeth, drank some Catnip Grass tea, and went to sleep, all in one go!
The holiday was finally over.
But tonight was destined to be a restless one.
...
...
Six-thirty the next morning.
Dark Demon sat in the common room, watching DemiDevimon fly back with a vegetable basket, feeling like life had finally returned to normal.
Woohoo!
Ultimately, this was the life he wanted!
Masquerade balls, Moon Gods, secret passages—to hell with them all!
Feeling a small sense of satisfaction with life, Dark Demon first took the breakfast out of the vegetable basket and arranged it, then pulled out today's "Great Sage Daily."
He took a sip of milk, opened the newspaper, and glanced at it very casually.
"Pfft!"
He almost spat out the milk.
Looking at the newspaper's headline, his whole mood instantly soured.

Below was a picture of Dark Demon dancing with someone.
In the picture, Dark Demon wore the Dark Night Prince set, a half-face black feather mask, exuding a mysterious handsomeness.
And his dance partner was wearing the matching set, the so-called "Little Princess"—only her back was visible.
But wasn't this Diana?
Could it be that the photo of him dancing with the Panda wasn't eye-catching enough, so the newspaper found this as a replacement?
But what about your journalistic integrity?
Dark Demon was truly speechless.
He then flipped through some more and found that the newspaper made no mention of the Moon God incident.
He didn't know if the article wasn't ready yet or if it had been suppressed.
Or perhaps it was a deliberate big reveal?
"Why didn't I realize before that the 'Great Sage Daily' was such a sensationalist newspaper? Perhaps I should consider switching."
Dark Demon sighed, but still read the entire report while eating.
As the kingdom's most widely circulated newspaper, the "Great Sage Daily" often represented more than just the newspaper's own voice.
Regardless of its truthfulness, today's headline report clearly had an ulterior motive.
"Are they trying to tie the forces behind the Second Royal Consort to the Eldest Princess's ship?"
"But if this report was orchestrated by the dovish faction, wouldn't it be superfluous?"
"Surely it can't be purely for entertainment, right?"
After several fruitless guesses, Dark Demon put down the newspaper, closed his eyes slightly to calm himself, and began his pre-class review.
...
The first class after Halloween was arithmetic.
Professor Lily Laplace wrote a question on the blackboard: "How many little pixies did I release in total last night to catch you all?"
The scene was deathly silent; no one could answer this pointed question that clearly lacked necessary conditions.
And then, Professor Lily Laplace wrote a second question on the blackboard: "How many people in total were late this morning?"
A student, daring to defy the world, raised their hand.
"Emma Metis, you answer."
"Eight people were late, Professor."
"Very good, Metis +5 points. Each latecomer -5 points, all of you go stand at the back of the classroom!"
Thus, three students from the Nobles' House and five from the Knight's House, a total of eight students, hung their heads and went to the back of the classroom, forming a neat row.
Dark Demon, sitting in the last row, could see their embarrassment and dejection just by turning his head slightly.
Although students had been late for class repeatedly since the beginning of the term.
But today, with eight at once, was truly a first.
Professor Lily Laplace probably never expected that just a two-day holiday would make the students so slack.
Among the eight, Doron from the Nobles' House suddenly raised his hand.
Professor Lily Laplace narrowed her eyes: "Doron, what do you have to say?"
Doron, late for the first time in his life, gritted his teeth: "Professor, I wasn't intentionally late."
Professor Lily Laplace: "No one is ever intentionally late."
Doron: "This, I'm different! It's because when I woke up this morning, I felt weak all over, too tired..."
Professor Lily Laplace: "Alright Doron, I already know you were late because you overslept, so shut your mouth."
The classroom erupted in laughter.
Doron immediately shut up.
The other latecomers were also full of shame, not daring to say more.
No one noticed that several of them had two fading shallow marks on the backs of their necks.
In short.
After class, they received double the homework.
...
The second class was still Professor Kazel's Magic Theory.
In the third month of their first year, Professor Kazel finally began to teach about the creation of magic cards.
He didn't look too well but still began enthusiastically: "Today, we will start teaching one of the methods for creating magic cards—how to imprint spells onto cards!"
