Nyxir walked around the compound watching Olivia display her powers. He was indeed thrilled to be able to witness her display, but more importantly, he wanted to understand why the small golden book had appeared in his soul sea and if he could control it like a Chronicle, just like Olivia was doing.
He had decided to not return to his room yet after breakfast as he would appear to be sulking and might not really get a private time to check on his new discovery as he wanted, so he decided to learn from Olivia who had received knowledge on her aspect since he did not know if he would receive one himself.
He watched Olivia display her powers and complimented her from time to time, she had always been hardworking and it had been her aspirations to be an elegant noble lady which can be seen in all her behavior at home but she have always been ready to give up for others especially her family because of her kind nature.
'She deserves to be happy '
Nyxir has silently complimented her in his mind more than once as memories of her deeds surfaced whenever she helped him. They reminded him of his own family and that has also made him doubt his reincarnation as a coincidence.
The probability of reincarnating in itself is very low, talk less the coincidence of reincarnating into someone who shares your name and is yet to awaken a divinity, it all looks like a setup, like I'm bound to walk a charted path, which is scary in itself, cause you never know what lies ahead.
He had decided to tread prudently and tackle each problem as it came his way, and not worry unnecessarily about some theory that might not be true, just knowing there is a possibility and preparing for the worst is enough.
"How about this?"
"And this?"
"How do I do?"
Olivia's excited voice could be heard throughout the house, but old Lu did not appear to chastise them for idling around or send them to the farm. It is simply because he wanted both of them to adjust to their new selves, and also, there was nothing much to do on the farm. As for the morning chore, Olivia has pretty much covered everything.
After exhausting her Spirituality, Olivia sat down panting heavily. She was clearly fatigued, and draining her Spirituality puts a toll on her.
"You shouldn't overwork yourself or drain your spirituality so casually. " Nyxir warned and patted her shoulder." You did great anyway"
" Thanks.... Uhnn! " Olivia let out a small grunt as she was trying to reply to Nyxir. Her face was scrunched up in a painful grimace before slowly smoothing out and returning to normal.
" What just happened? I feel like my head was spinning just now. " Olivia raised her right hand and massaged her forehead.
" That is why I said you shouldn't drain your spirituality, your spirituality also helps to suppress your divinity from going in a rampage, so completely draining it is dangerous, as you don't know when your divinity might wreak havoc. " Nyxir lectured Olivia with a serious expression.
" But your spirituality has a limit of exhaustion, you can't cross this limit no matter how hard you try, as your subconscious and body will willingly withhold some of your spirituality to protect itself from attack. "
" The only instances where someone completely exhausts their Spirituality are when they are in mortal danger and need to withdraw every power in their body to escape death. The body will go into panic mode and will decide to pump out Spirituality furiously to overwhelm the enemy in a mutually destructive mode. "
Nyxir continued to lecture Olivia, who looked like a young student listening to an elderly advisor, nodding from time to time to show she understood.
" This is a very dangerous situation as well as a good opportunity. The person can either be destroyed by the rampaging divinity after he loses protection from his spirituality, getting his soul corrupted, or he could overcome the exertion and surpass his limits. "
" It is an attempt by the body to protect itself from an imminent death but it could lead to a disastrous outcome as well"
'Which is worse for sealers because there is no coming back once their divine seal is deployed. ' Nyxir paused and thought about the greatest flaw his former aspect has, and slowly shook his head with a melancholic expression. Many of his clan members died because of this, and it still did not achieve anything because those killed were just pawns.
" That is why people who have encountered life and death situations are stronger and more dangerous than ordinary diviners," Nyxir concluded.
" Thanks for the update but errrr... How did you know all this? " Olivia raised her right eyebrows and stood akimbo while staring at Nyxir.
" I just know it may be that it is the knowledge I acquired," Nyxir replied with a straight face.
He had wanted to tell Olivia these things and many more after they awakened their divinity, but he didn't know how to say it as it might attract attention to himself.
These are part of the knowledge his clan had pounded in him, and many legacy clan knows of these as well as public ascendras, so it was not uncommon for someone random to know it, as they could be from an ascendance. And since they can't afford to enroll in one, he had to make sure Olivia had some basic knowledge of the diviner's world.
The only thing he could not divulge yet was the core information, as even small legacy clans are not privy to it, let alone a random person who had not even attended the basic public ascendance. Although it is essential to have the knowledge that will boost their survival and wariness, it could also cause a lot of trouble if leaked, so he decided to keep it to himself.
"That is really great then, but why didn't you tell me before?" Olivia pouted tapping her left foot rapidly.
"It is because it is essential to train until you reach your limit and try to push past it to increase your capacity. That is why it is encouraging to engage in training and more importantly, it is not really dangerous for you this once, just avoid depleting your Spirituality more often."
Nyxir explained apologetically and turned around walking towards his dormitory.
" I want to rest and you should too. "
Nyxir walked inside his room and sat down beside the table. He picked up the black diary on the table and flipped through it casually; this had become an instinctive behavior whenever he sat by the table.
His mind was already in his soul sea, watching a small golden book floating quietly by the side, which would occasionally emit dazzling light and change into a short golden scepter.
He stared at the book intently, trying to discern any pattern to its transformation, but it appeared to be random. He then breathed slowly and willed the book over.
The book floated slowly towards him and he made contact with it. His mind immediately blurred for about a second and then cleared again.
' Monarch Chronicle of Aether the bright side '
A memory surfaced from the depths of his mind.
