By now, the new revolutionary pirates, Van Augur, and Lafitte had realized something.
Alistair wasn't acting like a pirate.
He didn't act like a Marine either.
He was acting like the World Government.
He was fulfilling the World Government's responsibilities.
This made him stand out from the pirate world.
Hancock's gaze was intense.
His uniqueness had convinced her.
Nico Robin's breathing was rapid; she hadn't considered this.
Her upbringing lacked this perspective.
Few possessed this perspective; Big Mom was one—she truly governed her territory like a nation: using force to ensure safety and taxes (albeit unusual—lifespan) to maintain control.
Compared to the loose Whitebeard Pirates and stingy Kaido, Big Mom was a true queen.
But even Big Mom was far inferior to Alistair in this regard.
Lafitte and Van Augur's eyes darted around; they were political opportunists; Blackbeard's pursuit of Pirate King was their limit.
But after a month with Alistair, they dismissed Blackbeard, Shanks, and even Roger.
Building a regime targeting the World Government was far more interesting.
They wouldn't leave now.
Alistair had the power to keep them.
Lafitte and Van Augur might be difficult, but Robin's characteristics were clear: she was wary, but as an archaeologist and Ohara survivor, she would wholeheartedly trust him.
The next morning, the Sky Islanders and Shandorians gathered in the square.
They'd had a transformative night, unable to sleep; many woke early.
But Alistair, the chief, and Gan Fall were still asleep from the late-night discussions.
The revolutionary pirates, training, attracted attention, especially from the Shandorians.
Due to safety concerns, they ran around the square and village in groups.
Each lap was 4-5 kilometers.
They ran until they reached peak physical condition.
They chanted "121," ignoring the villagers, immersed in their training.
The Sky Islanders and Shandorians tried to talk to them, but the pirates, under their leaders' watchful eyes, ignored the beautiful Sky Island women, continuing their training.
A cadre's position differs fundamentally from a soldier's.
The group leaders, realizing the villagers' interference, were troubled.
Not everyone wanted to be watched during training.
This had happened in Mock Town, but the villagers were busy; they didn't have time to watch.
The Sky Islanders seemed to have no need to work—they relied on the weather; their crops had hard shells, unbreakable by ordinary animals; minimal care was needed.
Skypiea's crops were unique; fishing provided food; the Sky Islanders lived comfortably.
This comfort caused conflict between the tribes.
The group leaders understood why Alistair built their camp away from the town—to keep the battlefield away from the town and minimize civilian interference.
After promoting group leaders, even without Alistair's pressure, they organized the troops.
This was organizational power.
Alistair's successes fostered loyalty; the group leaders naturally exerted organizational power.
"Today, we ring the Golden Bell."
Alistair emerged from his tent at noon; he was energetic; he usually slept at midnight and woke at 6:30 AM, too busy for exercise.
This was with Robin's help.
Otherwise, he'd be even busier.
He considered adding Lafitte, Van Augur, Mihar, and Masked Deuce to his staff.
They were intelligent and could be useful once vetted.
The Spade Pirates were reliable and were being trained to be independent.
This was partly due to Alistair giving Ace the Mera Mera no Mi.
Pirates often formed bonds based on feelings; if someone was interesting, they'd join immediately. The Straw Hats' complex dynamics were an exception.
Alistair's suggestion to ring the Golden Bell excited everyone.
They realized they'd fought for four hundred years without seeing the Golden Bell…
This was absurd.
The Shandorians and Sky Islanders laughed, tears in their eyes.
Four hundred years of hatred, erased!
