Chapter 32 - Declaration of War(III)

"Clan Master! Our current problem in the clan is population. Even though we have managed to add some mortals from other Territories, the numbers are barely reaching a few thousand." The man replied.

He then exhaled and continued, "We have a big issue of population deficiency! More importantly, there are other areas that need the two grandmasters to step up and take charge. Do you really think it is appropriate to sent them to the Academy?"

"You are right! I think we should think about the issue of population, but more importantly, we need more grandmasters in the clan. Perhaps some will appear in a few years, but the academy is the only way to generate endless stream of grandmasters for the future." Hong Jun was able to see further.

The problems they faced now was lacking a proper framework to train experts. He was far more interested in martial arts grandmasters first.

Other things would come when the clan was able to stand stable in this part of the world.

He knew clearly that their territory bordered the barbarians, monsters clan and Qi refiners. Any of them was a big threat, if they attacked them.

Let's not mention the barbarians, as they had no conflict of interest but Qi refiners and Monsters are a big threat as they treat mortals as food and cultivation resources.

It was clearly all about competition and the foundation accumulated by the clan was not enough to support the rise of new grandmasters so fast.

Only a few people could be able to take this step and one of them was Gu Tian's granddaughter.

Unlike most of the people in the clan, she was affected by the Qi refiners personally and the hatred she had for them was not small.

When it came to drive, this was just as big as any. In the past seven few years her dedication to martial arts is far better than that of any other.

She was among the few people close to the grandmaster realm, but had yet to breakthrough and take this step. But Hong Jun speculated it was just a matter of time before this would happen.

It was just that one grandmaster alone was not enough. The best thing that could happen was between the three grandmaster present, one could take a step forward and rise to the Xantian realm.

With some opportunities it might be possible to go further faster for the three of them, but Hong Jun had no plans of seeking opportunities yet.

When he listened to the information on the direction of the family development over the years, he felt a ground work was being set and could see a prosperous future. But he didn't get carried away, as many things needed to be done, but all was under the assumption they could gain some stability.

"In the next twenty years, the clan shall focus on training in skills that are important as well as martial arts. The Academy will not just support martial arts, but other skills that are important to the development of the clan. Since the fifteen of you are here, I'll leave this task to you. If you lack skills, then seek those that have been involved in the areas for years." Hong Jun decided to also make a set up on the part of education.

He didn't want martial arts to be the only thing the academy focused on.

"Clan master! Isn't this abit too rushed?" Someone among the fifteen stoop up with a different opinion.

"Oh! Qinxi! What opinions do you have?" He looked at the woman that had spoken and asked.

She was among the clans best women at the moment. Even though Hong Jun was able to make decisions, he thought it was best to have a group to help in opening up more opinions.

It has been very useful and this woman was not foolish, thus her opinion could was important.

"I just think that the most urgent thing at the moment for the clan shortage of manpower. The clan should focus all it's resources into training more stronger people than spreading resources on other areas." She didn't beat around the bush.

"You have a point Qinxi, but this will not change my decision. In the clan, actually it us no longer important how many grandmasters we can add. The most important path is to give birth to someone beyond the grandmaster realm. This is the only way to help Su Qingqin share the burden. I can already feel that war is coming. Having stronger individuals is far more important than gathering a lot of people." Hong Jun dispelled the opinion Qinxi had with this words.

She couldn't refute this facts, and even more importantly, she was sure he wasn't being an alarmist on this issue.

The number of Qi refiners the have killed over the years was not small. Each of them had some background and it was bound to attract someone stronger.

Hong Jun had the feeling this day was not far off.

Sitting in the clan and trying to be steady was not useful for everyone. Someone had to take this task of seeking opportunities to go further.

At the moment, only Old Master Ye and Old man Gu Tian.

"Old man Gu! Old master Ye! I think in the next period you should visit that place and see if you can gather more opportunities to go further. If you could enter the Xiantian realm early, it would become useful for the development of the clan." Hong Jun didn't make hidden statements or use hints.

He directly informed the old men to venture into the Ruins again and seek a chance to breakthrough to the Xiantian realm. He was clearly aware that the opportunities they had gained before had already been digested by them.

Whatever gains where made from the previous visit in the ruins couldn't push them further anymore. It was only right to seek something that could.

The responsibilities in the clan were just too many and their help was also necessary, but as the clan master, Hong Jun didn't think so.

He felt their current important task was to reach the Xiantian realm.

"What do you guys think?" He still asked for thrue opinion after his suggestion.

He wasn't concerned about their response as he could see a strong flame burning in the eyes after he mentioned seeking chance to go further.

The two had already realized that their improvement from practice over the years was becoming less and less.
