The dark evening sky soon covered over the academy, clouds drifted by, faint flickers of stars were visible in the sky.
The exam started early in the morning with 5,000 students and it went on all day without any break or rest. Out of the original 5,000 students, only about 1,500 managed to pass. Among the people whom Sei knew, all had passed except Miyo Reinhart.
Now the students who had passed stood in the academy grounds forming a lined-up group on one side of the garden, and the ones who failed stood on the other side of the garden.
The students who passed still wore the white academy uniform while the ones who had failed wore their normal clothes. The instructors stood straight, not even showing a sign of fatigue in front of the platform.
The principal, in her elegant green suit, stepped onto the platform. She was smiling.
She moved her gaze over the ground once and then, without any further delay, started with her speech.
