"What?!"
"So fast?!"
Elder Amelia , who had been watching with a face full of concern just moments ago, was now frozen in utter disbelief.
Alex caught her completely off guard.
Even Viktor—who was always as expressionless as a stone—was finally shaken, his cold eyes filled with shock.
Everyone had assumed that Alex was just a mortal in a powerful position. They feared him only because he was the new Supreme. No one actually thought he was strong.
But clearly... they were dead wrong.
This new Supreme wasn't some figurehead!
Forget everything else—just that burst of speed alone was enough to stun both Amelia kkiand Viktor, two high-ranking elders of the Undead Clan.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
A chilling series of bone-popping noises echoed through the hall. In Alex's grip, Marcus was struggling wildly.
He clawed frantically at Alex's hand, trying to break free from his iron grip. But it was all for nothing.
Alex didn't even seem to be trying. With just one hand, he completely subdued Marcus—like it was the easiest thing in the world.
"Who is this guy?!"
Marcus's mind was reeling. The disdain he'd held toward Alex vanished in an instant, replaced by absolute shock.
This guy's strength is insane!
One hand—just one hand—was enough to completely overpower him!
Enraged and panicking, Marcus stopped holding back. With a thought, his muscles and bones began to shift and transform.
In the blink of an eye, the man was gone. In his place stood a monstrous, winged bat-like creature.
In this form, Marcus's power skyrocketed—easily over five times stronger than before!
But to his horror, even that wasn't enough. No matter how much he struggled, Alex's grip remained immovable—like the jaws of a predator that refused to let go.
"No way!"
"This can't be happening!"
Marcus screamed in his mind as his wings lashed out. Bone spikes protruding from them shot toward Alex like daggers.
Alex didn't dodge. Didn't flinch. Didn't even blink.
Seeing that, a wicked grin curved Marcus's lips.
You're dead now.
In the next moment, the two razor-sharp spikes stabbed straight into Alex's torso—
—only to bounce off harmlessly, like they'd hit reinforced steel.
There wasn't a scratch on him.
"What the hell is that body made of?!"
Marcus couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"That wing of yours... it's even uglier than Dracula's," Alex said with scorn, his tone dripping with disdain.
Then, his eyes suddenly turned blood red.
Marcus's heart dropped.
He didn't know what those glowing eyes meant—but his instincts screamed danger.
He flailed even harder, trying to break free.
But Alex raised his other hand and grabbed one of Marcus's wings—
—and pulled.
RIP!!
Two blazing-hot beams of energy blasted from Alex's eyes and sliced through Marcus's wing like a hot knife through butter.
"Aaaaahhh!!"
Marcus let out a bone-chilling shriek of agony.
"What was that?!"
"That sounded like... Elder Marcus!"
"What the hell is going on in there?!"
The scream echoed through the hall, instantly grabbing the attention of every vampire nearby. Confusion and unease spread among them.
Marcus, their most powerful elder, was screaming like he was being skinned alive?
What could've possibly happened?
Thinking back to the new Supreme who had just walked in, many of the vampires began to piece things together. A wave of disbelief spread across their faces.
"It's him," Selena murmured, staring at the door to the inner chamber. Her face was filled with disbelief.
Elder Marcus had always been proud and unruly. He'd never shown respect to anyone—not even to a Supreme. So a clash was inevitable.
But judging by what they were hearing...
…it sure didn't sound like the Supreme was the one losing.
BOOM!
A thunderous crash interrupted their thoughts. Inside, Alex casually punched Marcus in the chest.
Marcus shot backward like a cannonball, slamming into the ground hard enough to leave a massive crater in the floor.
Another crater had formed in his chest.
His ribs were shattered. Several of his internal organs had turned into pulp.
If he wasn't part of the Undead Clan, that punch alone would've killed him a hundred times over.
Even with their unnatural vitality and regeneration, Marcus now lay in a broken heap, too mangled to move.
"That's it?"
Alex dusted off his hands and looked down at Marcus like he was a piece of trash.
"I thought you were supposed to be strong."
Hssssss!
The room went completely still. The only sounds were the sharp gasps of Amelia , Viktor, and Kraven.
The three of them stood frozen, their eyes wide, jaws slack.
They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
The new Supreme... was this powerful?
That was Marcus lying on the floor! One of the clan's top elders—someone who had always been considered on par with the Supremes!
And yet, in front of this new guy, he was nothing more than a punching bag. A joke.
Everyone could tell: if Alex hadn't held back, Marcus would already be dead.
Especially that eye beam—if Alex had aimed it just a little higher, Marcus's head would've been gone.
Terrifying.
Supreme Alex was absolutely terrifying.
Kraven's entire body trembled. His pale face turned ghostly white.
If vampires could sweat, he would've been soaked by now.
What had he been thinking?
Was he trying to die?!
He used to resent Alex. He'd been jealous. Bitter. Thought about challenging him, even.
Now?
He couldn't even compare to Marcus—and Marcus had just gotten wrecked.
Kraven wanted to cry.
Right then and there, every trace of resentment, envy, and hostility he'd ever felt toward Alex vanished into thin air.
From now on, he wouldn't even dare to think badly of him.
