"Mr. Wick, did your father leave you anything?"
Killian smiled. "Like a bottle of potion?"
He was looking for the bottle of Extremis Virus that had been taken.
The bottle that Watson Wick took was not ordinary; it was the original Extremis Virus.
It was also the most important one.
Killian thought that John went to Pym Technologies, which was also a technology company, to research the Extremis Virus.
This is why he appeared in front of John.
He stared at John, a hint of danger hidden beneath his eyes. "That thing is company property. I hope Mr. Wick can return the product of A.I.M."
John met Killian's gaze and smiled. "I'm sorry, I didn't see that thing."
Killian frowned and stared at John for a long time.
"Alright, I hope Mr. Wick can inform me if you get any news about your father."
Killian stood up and said with a fake smile, "That thing is really important to me. Dr. Maya Hansen hasn't had a good night's sleep for a long time because of it."
"I am very sorry about what happened to Mr. Watson Wick."
He finally said, "Goodbye, Mr. Wick."
He left the conference room.
John watched him leave, and Hattie said, "He seems to be threatening you?"
"It seems you know something about the attack on my father."
John said expressionlessly, "My father took something important from him, and he is trying to get it back at all costs."
"What do we need to do?" Hattie knew that John would not let the other party off so easily.
John showed a smile similar to Killian's. "Naturally, find it, and then deal with it."
***
Ferdinand, by all accounts, was not an employee of Taran Industries; he was John's personal driver.
Although he usually boasted to the pretty female employees in the company about how much the Boss trusted him, everyone actually knew that this guy didn't even have an employee ID.
So naturally, he didn't have his own office.
He had no choice but to sit on the sofa in the lobby while waiting for the Boss to get off work.
Ferdinand looked at the buzz-cut man sitting across from him with no manners, a look of disdain on his face.
"You can tell he's a parasite at a glance, unlike me, who has one foot in high society."
As a former thug, Ferdinand showed great disdain for that person.
Although he was just a driver, he was Mr. Wick's driver.
That was someone who could deal with a government supervisor with just one phone call.
How did that saying from the East go?
A seventh-rank official at the Prime Minister's gate.
He wouldn't say he was seventh-rank, but he had to be at least eighth-rank.
The other party also noticed Ferdinand, or perhaps his long face, pulled as long as a donkey's, was too eye-catching.
Seeing the disdain in Ferdinand's eyes, the buzz-cut man smiled and flipped through this month's Vanity Fair magazine in his hand.
On the cover was a pair of twin models, with long legs, slender waists, and golden waves.
The main character of this issue was not John, but a wealthy Eastern businessman with the surname Ma who started his business with online shopping.
"Savin, let's go."
Killian, who had left the conference room, no longer had a smile on his face and called the buzz-cut man to leave.
Savin was the buzz-cut man's name. Before leaving the company, Savin looked at Ferdinand, and an orange-red light flashed across his face and disappeared.
Ferdinand thought he had seen wrong.
He quickly received a call from the Boss and hurried to the garage.
On the renovated streets of Manhattan, a car drove recklessly, overtaking five cars in ten seconds, and finally stopped below an expensive building.
John got out of the car and told Ferdinand to wait here.
Ferdinand was bored and leaned against the car door, casually scanning the vicinity.
In the distance, Savin watched John go upstairs.
At Wick's place.
John went to his Dad's study.
A safe was placed there. John didn't have the password, but that didn't matter.
He drew his wand and pointed it at the safe. "Alohomora."
Magic flowed through the wand and into it. This most advanced safe with the highest level of defense began to open automatically.
After more than ten seconds passed, the heavy safe door opened.
John began to search, suspecting that he might have missed something last time.
Looking inside this safe, John raised his wand and used the versatile Magic.
"Extremis Virus, Accio."
He waved his wand. A few seconds later, John stared at the motionless safe, then turned back to the room where the movement came from.... "Thump thump…"
The sound came from the Trophy Room downstairs.
John listened to the banging sound from behind the door and silently opened it.
His gaze was fixed on a bookshelf filled with Gilderoy Lockhart's works.
He walked over and opened the cabinet.
A book that had been a bestseller in the Magic World for fifty-two consecutive weeks flew into his hand.
John opened it, and a hollow was carved into the pages inside.
In the hollow, a bottle of orange-red liquid reagent broke free from its constraints and flew into John's hand.
Killian probably never imagined that his own Dad would put this thing in a book.
Who would have thought that the Trophy Room was so undefended?
Anyone would think this thing would be in a safe, not in a room filled with Magic props.
"Extremis Virus?" John stared at this thing. He remembered that he still had a serum.
And the name Extremis Virus sounded a bit familiar.
Because it sounded familiar, John guessed that it must have appeared in some Marvel work.
Besides being familiar with the Avengers movies, he didn't watch too many of the solo character films, mainly because there were too many.
This led to occasional gaps in the plot he remembered.
Since it appeared in a Marvel work, it was not wrong to keep it.
Just like the Regeneration Cradle, although he didn't understand it very well, it was good to have it.
When he found some time, he could study the Extremis Virus and also analyze that bottle of serum along with it.
John's Potions class score was the first in his grade. Although Potions and these genetic studies were a bit different, they were both about researching and treating the human body, so he thought they wouldn't be too different.
He had the confidence to research it.
Even if he couldn't research it, he still had a company he could use for research, and failing that, there was Tony Stark.
Compared to Ivan, who was a physics genius, Tony was a well-rounded hexagonal genius.
After getting the Extremis Virus, John was about to put it in his pocket, but he stopped.
"How about a sting operation?"
He narrowed his eyes.
In the conference room, John knew Killian's thoughts through Mind-Reading Spell.
He also knew some things. The importance of the Extremis Virus to Killian goes without saying. More importantly, that person had bad intentions towards his Dad.
He contributed to his Dad's attack. Although it didn't succeed, the other party's actions still angered John.
He casually found a box at home and carried it.
He walked out the door swaggering.
Savin, who was monitoring John, watched him take the box and get into the car and leave.
Savin reported to Killian, "John Wick left with a box that is suspected to contain the Extremis Virus."
Killian heard this and said, "Did Watson Wick really leave the thing to his son?"
He said unkindly, "Follow him and find an opportunity to get the thing back."
Savin said yes and got into another car to follow John.
Killian turned to look at the computer.
On the computer screen, a large face appeared.
He was wearing a wide white suit, which was perfectly filled by his flesh.
This was Killian's partner, but unfortunately, a few months ago, because he offended someone, he was completely wiped out.
His partner's name was…
Wilson Fisk.
And that attack that happened a year ago was a killing game they concocted together.
Unfortunately, it failed.
They had a new opponent.
John Wick.
Fisk, sitting under the FBI's all-angle surveillance, grinned ferociously.
"The game has just begun."
The FBI agents who were monitoring him today, however, ignored him.
These people had long been bought off.
It's not just heroes who form alliances; villains do too.
