Chasel Mills walked out of the venue, leaving everyone in stunned silence.
His figure gradually faded from view, leaving behind a group of shocked young elites, frozen in place.
"How could he offend the Walker family and the Shen family and still expect to survive? Yet, even knowing that his actions are a sure path to destruction, why do I still feel so envious?"

Just as Chasel Mills and Nora Mills left the venue one after the other, Clayton Cain finally arrived.
As soon as he entered the press conference,Clayton sensed that something was off.
The scene was chaotic!
People were being carried out and rushed to the hospital!
Most of them were security personnel!
But among the sea of security guards, one person stood out.
At the front, surrounded by a group of people, was none other than the wealthy heir of the Shen family, Clark Sims!
Clayton's head buzzed!
He immediately realized that something had indeed gone wrong at the press conference.What's going on?
Clayton Cain didn't have time to greet anyone as he hurried into the venue.
Soon, he spotted Charlotte Walker, who seemed lost in thought.
"Charlotte, why hasn't anyone answered your phone?" Clayton asked as he quickly approached her.
Charlotte looked up at Clayton and took a deep breath. Instead of answering his question, she asked, "Who took the Qing Shui Mountain project?"
This was the most perplexing issue for her since Chasel Mills had left.After Chasel Mills departed, she hadn't given him much thought. As long as he wasn't in front of her, he couldn't hurt her, and thus, he was no longer a concern.
As for what Chasel had said, it was just the beginning. Now that she had calmed down, Charlotte found it somewhat laughable.
She didn't even need to lift a finger; the Shen family would naturally take care of this thug who dared to harm Clark Sims!
What future was there to worry about?
However, she truly couldn't understand why the four major families of Verdant City had reached an agreement not to compete for the Qing Shui Mountain project.It wasn't just about daring to oppose the Tang and Sun families; looking at Verdant City, who else had the strength to compete?

"You already know?" he asked, his expression darkening.
This was something he had suggested—having Charlotte come to the press conference while he handled the bidding, so they wouldn't have to rush to the venue after the bidding ended. However, he had lost the project!"Chasel Mills was here," Charlotte said, delicately pinching the space between her brows with her slender fingers.
"Did he cause the injuries to those security guards and Clark Sims?" Clayton was taken aback.
Who in Verdant City would dare to be so bold? Even the recognized heir of the Fields family, the most powerful clan in Verdant City, wouldn't act so recklessly!
"That's right," Charlotte nodded, her impatience evident. "Who ended up with the Qing Shui Mountain project?"
As she spoke, a hint of irritation flashed in her eyes. She was annoyed that Clayton hadn't answere her question directly.
"Harvey March Group, Silas Brooks!" Clayton Cain said, his voice low and serious, unable to hide his shock at Chasel Mills' audacity. "It was supposed to be a sure thing. Even if Chasel Mills tried to stir things up, it wouldn't have caused much trouble. But now, at a critical moment, Silas Brooks shows up with his people, acting like he owns Qing Shui Mountain City. We simply don't have the strength to compete with him."
"Harvey March Group?" Charlotte Walker was taken aback.
"Why would Harvey March Group come to Verdant City? For us, Qing Shui Mountain City is a highly profitable project, but for HarveyMarch Group, it shouldn't be much of a concern, right?"

Her heart sank.

"Huxley?" Charlotte was surprised. "Is he the one who took over Billy Bruno's operation?"
"That's him!" Clayton nodded.
"How did he manage to get connected with Silas Brooks?" Charlotte Walker couldn't believe that someone like him could have such ties.
"We're still investigating!" Clayton Cain replied again.Charlotte nodded, choosing not to say anything further.
Just then, a middle-aged man with a round belly approached, looking somewhat apologetic. "President Walker, today's press conference has to be canceled!"
Before Charlotte could respond, Clayton chimed in, "Given the circumstances, rescheduling might be for the best."
However, the middle-aged man's face turned awkward again. "Yes, we do need to reschedule, but…"
He hesitated, as if struggling to find the right words.
Charlotte furrowed her brows. "But what?""The Harvey March Group, who just secured the Qingshui Mountain City project, called in. They are requesting… requesting a change of the brand ambassador for Qingshui Mountain City!".
