Cherreads

Chapter 39 - "Great! Now close up shop and let's go to your mansion, I have some other plans today and I'm trying to speed run things."

When David and his group entered Tsige, the first thing they did was enter the Adventurer's Guild.

Walking up to the receptionist, David smiled and said, "Good morning. Do you have any requests from the Rembrandt Trading Company that I can take?"

The receptionist was startled at first by such an abrupt question, but looking at David's handsome face, she didn't bother to complain.

"Good morning, sir. Are you an adventurer? I would need to see your guild card before looking for a specific request."

David took out his guild card and placed it in front of the receptionist.

When she saw that he was only Rank E and Level 1, she frowned slightly.

"Um, sir, normally requests from big clients are better to be taken when you're at a higher level... If there's a request from the Rembrandt Trading Company, it's most likely a high ranked request. You can still go there and talk to them personally, but you would most likely be turned away."

It had to be said, the receptionist was at least being kind about it rather than mocking David for his low level.

Though, if anyone knew what he did to their precious goddess, they would definitely have to rethink the level system...

David just waved his hand with a smile, "Don't worry, I know my limits. I heard Patrick Rembrandt is dealing with a specific issue that I can easily fix, but I needed a pretext to see him. Once I'm done, his request would naturally be taken down, so I figured it would be more efficient if I took it so as not to cause any confusion."

The receptionist seemed to think for a moment before quickly nodding her head and going over to a stack of request papers in the back.

[I thought you said you wouldn't brainwash anyone unless it was necessary?]

'This is necessary and I don't feel like going to get the materials when I have a perfectly good spell. Besides, that was more of a suggesting spell than a brainwashing spell.'

Yes, David had used his magic to subtly encourage the receptionist to not care about rank and not get the guild chief to turn it into a special request. While it wasn't anything malicious, David did still feel that it was kinda dirty.

'I'll spoil Komoe later as repentance... Mm, it'll be hard on me.'

Less than half a minute later, the receptionist came back to the counter with a request stating that Patrick Rembrandt of the Rembrandt Trading Company was in need of ambrosia flowers or the eyes from a Ruby Eye.

"You can meet the requester with this, but know that any failed missions will cause a penalty and we'll have to charge a fee for harming the guild's reputation. This is an S-Rank request and I really shouldn't let you take it, but... Anyway, are you sure you still want to take this request?"

⟪ I'm getting really tired of the word 'request' already... ⟫

"Yes, thank you, Miss. Don't worry, I won't tarnish the guild's reputation," David said with a charming smile before taking the paper and turning around to leave, heading to the Rembrandt Trading Company's headquarters.

⟪ The hell do I care for the guild's reputation? There are only a few guilds that I like such as the Fairy Tail guild from 'Fairy Tail', the Maple Tree guild from 'BOFURI', and the Ainz Ooal Gown guild from 'Overlord'. The guild in this world is just a form of population control, tsk. ⟫

[Toa] 'Population control?'

Toa was confused at first, but when she started to think about it, it made sense.

Adventurers would strive to increase their levels, gaining wealth and fame, and would take on countless dangers to do so. Not a few have died chasing that dream, yet it doesn't stop most people from continuing.

[Toa] 'How has nobody thought about this before?'

⟪ Speaking of Fairy Tail... Mueheheh... Chaos-chan, there are certain franchises that are staples in crossover fanfics, right? Did I write in Fairy Tail as some sort of cross-dimensional world that exists? I did, right? Please tell me I did! ⟫

[You didn't.]

⟪ ...Awww... There are more than a few women in that world I'd like to marry. A few that need to be saved as well... Ugh, fine. I shouldn't sound ungrateful, I still very much enjoy this current franchise and I even got Tomoe and Mio as wives, not to mention the Cradle that's just a better version of Tomoe's demiplane. Before I leave, I'll definitely have to bring the Forest Ogres in. Having Eris and Aqua around would be a wonderful addition. ⟫

Due to David's rambling, he didn't realize he had inadvertently made Toa jealous by leaving her out of his little inner monologue.

[Toa] 'What about me? I'm not a wife, but I can at least be useful! Maybe I should clear the minotaur dungeon and bring David a bunch of meat...'

『 Tomoe (Feudal Fangirl): Speaking of franchises, how many episodes of our franchise have you watched? 』

『 Mio (Hungry Masochist): I stopped after episode 2. I couldn't stand seeing a version of myself accepting anyone other than my dear husband as my husband. 』

『 Tomoe (Feudal Fangirl): I agree. I don't dislike that Makoto boy, but the young master is more handsome, more charming, stronger, and much more capable. He even controls the goddess, how many people could say that?! 』

『 Mio (Hungry Masochist): Indeed, our husband is the greatest man in all of existence! 』

While David and Toa were deep in thought and Tomoe and Mio were chatting in the Empress Chat, they continued their walk to the Rembrandt Trading Company in silence.

In only a few minutes, they had arrived outside of a tall building on the corner of a heavy-traffic area with a signboard that read "Rembrandt Trading Company".

"Alright, let's get this over with so we can go pick some flowers~."

David happily entered the building with the three women following behind him.

Inside the shop, the walls had weapons lining the walls and various goods were on display on the shelves.

There was a young man behind the counter who greeted David's group of four when he saw them come in.

David didn't waste any time and went straight to the young man and showed him the request he received from the guild.

"Good morning, I've accepted the request that was posted in the Adventurer's Guild."

The young man took a look at the paper and called out, "Morris-san! There's an adventurer here!"

An elderly gentleman with a ponytail, neatly trimmed mustache, a butler's suit, and a monocle appeared from behind the young man and gave a courteous greeting to David.

"Thank you for taking on the request. I will call for the master, so please wait in the drawing room."

David nodded and along with Tomoe, Mio, and Toa, they were led to a luxurious room in the back with similarly luxurious couches, chairs, and a table.

David sat in the middle of the couch while Tomoe sat on his left and Mio on his right. Toa, having a closer relationship with Tomoe, decided to sit on her left side, filling up the couch.

It wasn't long before a middle-aged man with a thin mustache and goatee entered the room.

He sat down in the seat in front of everyone else with Morris standing at his right side.

"Thank you for waiting, everyone. My name is Patrick Rembrandt and I am the representative of the Rembrandt Trading Company as well as the one who made the request. May I ask for your names?"

David nodded and said, "My name is David Star. To my right is Mio, to my left is Tomoe, and to her left is Toa. I don't have the item you're looking for and I won't get it because I have something even better. I may seem rude, but I assure you I just want to cure your family members. "

Patrick and Morris's expressions shifted and they seemed to be ready for anything unexpected.

David just raised his hand and waved it slightly. "Calm down, no need to be wary. Patrick, your wife and daughters were cursed by a shaman with a level 8 curse, right?"

Patrick looked over at Morris and after some unspoken words, he looked back at David and nodded his head.

"That's right. We've been searching for help, but we keep getting hit with interference from adventurers and swindlers."

"I know, and I know the reason behind this whole situation, but let's discuss that later. I have a spell that can remove any curse, purify the victim's body, and heal them to peak condition. I can cast it on your wife and daughters easily, I just need your permission. And before you get suspicious thinking that I'm trying to do something underhanded, if I truly wanted to, I could kill you and wipe out this entire town with ease."

Patrick's expression darkened and he started to say, "Young man, unfounded threats won't--," but he was cut off by David's Reiatsu, instantly freezing himself and Morris in place.

"It wasn't an unfounded threat and I wasn't lying. I'm a good person, okay? I found out about your situation and decided to help. Aren't I nice? You don't even have to pay me, I just want your family to be healed and then go on my way."

David pulled back his Reiatsu and allowed Patrick and Morris to move once again.

Patrick recovered fairly quickly, but Morris had to take a bit longer to catch his breath as the pressure was focused heavier on him.

Once they were recovered, they looked at David with both fear and hope, betting on David not lying to them.

"I feel I don't exactly have a choice in this matter, but I will choose to trust you..."

[Toa] 'Wait, what? Was it really that easy? What the hell did David do to them?'

When David released his Reiatsu, he only focused it on Patrick and Morris, allowing them to feel what it's like to stare death straight in the face.

Of course, he made sure that his group didn't feel anything.

David stood up and motioned for the others to follow.

"Great! Now close up shop and let's go to your mansion, I have some other plans today and I'm trying to speed run things."

[Patrick, Morris, & Toa] '...Speed run?'

Despite David's impatience and rude behavior, they followed his words and closed up their shop before heading to the Rembrandt estate.

...

A little while later, everyone had arrived in front of a large mansion.

"Who will you cure first?" Patrick asked.

"Hmm, let's do your wife first," David said.

"Understood, please follow me."

Patrick led them into the mansion, through the foyer, and up the stairs.

"We've had to separate them from the others due to how aggressive they can get at times."

David made a small "Mm" sound in affirmation as they stopped in front of a large bedroom door.

"My wife is inside here..."

Before Patrick could say anything like, 'If you hurt her, blah blah blah' or 'Please save her, blah blah blah', David just pushed open the door and walked in, quickly followed by Patrick and Morris, then the women.

The room was very dark as the light from the windows were blocked by the thick curtains, allowing the room to only have the faintest dim. The bed in the room was draped with fabric which also kept any brighter light away from the woman laying on it.

The woman had purplish skin, veins protruding from her bald head, and if her eyes were open, glowing red eyes would be visible.

⟪ Since nobody attempted to give her ambrosia, she's not being hostile right now. This should be easier than I thought. ⟫

David raised his right hand and activated his new healing spell.

The spell works by selecting a target and scanning for any abnormalities such as curses or diseases, then it removes the ailment and heals them completely.

Golden chains of light wrapped around the woman on the bed, startling her awake.

"OAHHHH!!!"

The woman thrashed around, screaming and roaring as she tried to break free from the bindings, but to no avail.

Patrick, seeing his beloved wife wrapped in chains like a beast, wanted to rush up and put a stop to it, but he felt two hands firmly gripping his shoulders.

He turned his head to look and saw Tomoe and Mio glaring at him, putting him under immense pressure.

Morris wanted to move forward as well, but suddenly found his feet stuck to the ground by a black web-like substance.

Before the two men could start yelling in defiance, a change occurred on the bed.

The golden chains seeped into the woman's body and her struggling quickly died down.

In front of everyone at a speed visible to the naked eye, the woman's skin rapidly turned to a beautiful smooth white, her silky blonde hair quickly grew out to a little past her shoulders, and her pretty blue eyes opened up.

"Lisa!"

Patrick shouted his wife's name and after being released from Tomoe and Mio's grasp, he rushed forward and wrapped his wife in his arms tight.

"Patrick..."

Lisa looked confused, but then memories of everything since she had been cursed rushed back into her head and tears started to fall from her eyes.

"Patrick, how... How did you do it?"

Patrick wiped the tears of joy from his face and stood up, pointing excitedly to David.

"This young man, David Star, used his magic to heal you! I was worried at first, but seeing you like this now, I'm certain that both Sif and Yuno will be fine as well! Hahaha, this is wonderful!"

Before Patrick could get lost in his happiness, David interrupted him.

"Ahem. I'm happy to see that your wife has recovered, but let's cure your daughters first before you celebrate, yes? My spell allows them to heal instantly so they don't require any rest. Thus, you can celebrate as much as you want as soon as it's over."

Patrick never lost his smile, but immediately agreed with David.

"Yes, you're right, David-dono! I'll lead you to Sif and Yuno's rooms. Morris, call for the maids and make sure my wife is ready to see our daughters!"

Morris, still tied up by Mio's spider silk, was also crying tears of joy and bowed his head. "Right away, master!"

He went to turn and leave, but forgot that his feet were bound and fell to the floor, face first.

"Pffft... Ahem..."

Mio stifled her laughter and opened her fan in front of her face before removing the spider silk and looking away, acting as if she had nothing to do with it.

Morris didn't say anything and gracefully stood back up, brushed off his suit, and left to fulfill Patrick's request.

David walked toward the door and flicked Mio on the forehead.

"Why'd you do that?" He asked.

Mio puffed up her cheeks and pouted.

"He was staring at you with killing intent, husband. He's lucky I didn't eat him~."

David pulled Mio's cheeks this time, enjoying the soft feeling.

"You're not allowed to eat people anymore. Well, not men at least. Understand?"

Mio smiled and said, "Undewtood, hubband."

David had to try really hard not to laugh at Mio...

He released her cheeks, patted her on the head, and turned to Patrick.

"Sorry. Lead the way, let's get your daughters back in action."

Patrick's gaze toward David was incredibly warm now, happy that this mysterious and somewhat rude boy came to look for him.

Without hesitation, Patrick briskly walked out of his wife's containment room and went toward his daughters' containment rooms.

Conveniently, they were all three right next to each other so it didn't take more than five seconds to arrive at the younger daughter, Yuno's, room.

When they opened the door, the room looked similar to Lisa's room, except for one key difference.

⟪ Eh? Did she hear her mother get cured? I wonder if that triggered the curse's self-defense mechanism... ⟫

David expanded his senses a bit and immediately noticed Yuno in the corner on the ceiling next to the door, ready to pounce.

He stepped forward into the room and as expected, Yuno tried to ambush him.

"GYAA!!!"

Yuno screamed as she pounced on David, attempting to bite his face.

However, David just simply grabbed her wrist and smiled at her.

"Now now, it's not very ladylike to try and kiss a man you just met, right?"

David, still holding Yuno's wrist, quickly cast his spell, immediately wrapping Yuno up in the golden chains.

Yuno wanted to struggle, but as David stared into her eyes, she immediately calmed down and her eyes started to regain clarity early.

"That's better. Just be patient and I'll make you as good as new, okay?"

While David was in a hurry and was speaking rather rudely and brashly with Patrick and Morris, he couldn't help but be gentle and soothing with a girl like Yuno.

David kept holding Yuno's wrist until the golden chains seeped into her body, quickly working to dispel the curse and heal her completely.

Just like Lisa, Yuno's body rapidly started to get better.

Clear and beautiful skin, dazzling green eyes, short blonde hair with a little ahoge on the top of her head, and a sweet smile on her face.

Seeing that Yuno was completely healthy now, David let go of her wrist.

Yuno kept staring at David and seemed like she wanted to say something, but was interrupted by someone clearing their throat.

"Ahem! Husband, don't you think you should go heal the other one now?"

Mio was trying not to be jealous, but when she felt how Yuno was looking at her husband, she couldn't help but want to separate her from him.

"Ah, yes. Patrick, have someone make sure nothing is wrong with Yuno while I go take care of Sif."

Patrick nodded and hurriedly called for another maid while David headed to Sif's room.

『 Mio (Hungry Masochist): Husband is too nice and falls for women too easily. We need to hurry up and leave once he's done! 』

『 Tomoe (Feudal Fangirl): I agree, this place is dangerous. Both the mother and daughter are beauties. What are the chances that the other daughter would be ugly? 』

『 Mio (Hungry Masochist): Zero! There's no chance of that happening at all! 』

While Tomoe and Mio were panicking amongst themselves, Toa was also slightly worried.

[Toa] 'Hold on a minute, I came first! He totally looked at her gently, right? Right?! Why won't he look at me like that?'

They all had their own thoughts, but David's thoughts were only on one thing.

⟪ I wonder if we have bananas in the Cradle? Eris and Aqua were totally addicted to bananas and it would be a good bargaining chip if things start to go south later on... ⟫

The women who heard that were confused.

[The women] 'Bananas? What are bananas?'

Shortly after, David arrived at the final room.

When he pushed the door open, he saw the zombie-looking Sif standing at the side of the bed, clutching the bed post with tears streaming down her face.

David made eye contact with her and could see that she still had a trace of sanity left as evidenced by the tears and worried look in her eyes.

"Hello, Sif, I'm going to heal you now. I'm very strong so you don't need to worry about hurting me, okay? Just relax and it'll be over soon."

He walked closer to her and held her hand, offering some comfort.

Before Sif could say or do anything in response, golden chains wrapped around her.

There was no screaming or struggling with her, just a peaceful wait while the spell tracked down and removed the curse and any other ailments hidden in her body.

Shortly after, Sif began her transformation just like her sister and mother.

White and flawless skin, long blonde hair, beautiful azure-colored eyes, and a feverish blush on her face.

⟪ Shit, is she still sick or is she embarrassed? Dammit, I shouldn't judge those dense protagonists anymore, it makes sense why they'd ask at times! ⟫

David, worried his spell might have actually worked improperly, quickly raised his hand and placed the back of it on Sif's forehead.

"Hmm... How are you feeling, Sif? Any discomfort? Fatigue? Your mother and sister should be perfectly fine, the spell shouldn't have had any adverse effects on you..."

David was going into the logic of the spell he just cast and was checking for any oversights he may have made, but he kept his face close to Sif's and kept examining her condition to see if there was anything wrong.

However, this was just useless worrying as Sif was perfectly fine and was just embarrassed as well as shocked.

[Sif] 'It wasn't delirium and I could actually hear his voice... How wonderful!'

Sif hurriedly grasped David's hand and brought it to her chest that was barely hidden behind her nightgown.

"Thank you for saving us from the curse! May I know your name?"

Mio pulled a handkerchief out of nowhere and started biting down on it, wanting to interrupt, but not wanting to annoy David.

"My name is David Star, nice to meet you, Sif Rembrandt. Unfortunately, I only came to Tsige for a trip to the Tinarak Forest and just happened to come across information about your situation so I won't be staying for long."

Sif looked heartbroken, but David tried to ignore it and turned to leave.

⟪ Dammit, don't look at me like that! I won't even be staying in this world for long, okay? There's no way I could form a relationship with anyone here. Tomoe and Mio are different as they're bound to me and will follow me, but the same can't be said for others... Ugh, both Sif and Yuno are super cute, too... Oh well, I added my protection spells on them as well as Lisa so when the demon attacks happen in the future, they'll be perfectly fine... ⟫

David realized he was getting way off track and almost walked into Patrick as he left Sif's room.

"Ah, Patrick. Sif is all cured as well, but it's best to check her as her face was looking a little red. Anyway, the person behind this all is an adventurer named Lime Latte. He was tricked by the shaman into believing it was a simple sleeping curse that would knock them out for a few months, but he didn't realize what really happened. He is also the one who was in charge of getting in the way of people taking the requests in the past. Do with this information what you will, but we're heading out now. Ciao!"

David used his secret technique, 'Rapid Fire Information Overload', to stun Patrick before quickly taking his leave unhindered.

By the time Patrick came back to himself, he was furious, but at the same time, couldn't think of what to do with Lime Latte.

When Patrick realized that David and his group had disappeared, he was disappointed and immediately went to Yuno's room to look for Morris, but the room was empty.

He then went to Lisa's room to look for Morris or Yuno, but he only found Morris, Lisa, and a maid.

"Where's Yuno?" Patrick asked.

Lisa stood up and started walking out of the room.

"Probably in Sif's room, let's go see them."

Patrick nodded and followed his wife with Morris trailing not far behind, but when they got to Sif's room, they were shocked to see that it was also empty.

Patrick and Morris started to worry, but then Lisa turned to Patrick and asked, "Where's that David boy?"

Patrick sighed and said, "After giving me information as to who was also behind the curse, he took his leave. He said he didn't want any compensation and simply wanted to cure you and the girls..."

Lisa's expression softened considerably and nodded her head.

"Mm, I like that boy. I wouldn't be surprised if the girls also took a liking to him~," she teased.

Patrick's face paled slightly and he started running to the entrance of the mansion, trying to find where his daughters went.

...

On the other side, David and the girls had easily slipped out of the mansion after curing the Rembrandt women and giving information about Lime Latte.

"Young master, why did you heal them without asking for anything in return?"

David shrugged, "If I didn't cure them, nobody would have. Therefore, it was only right for me to do so. As for wanting anything in return, what could they possibly give me? I could easily earn money by selling monster materials and I won't be staying in this world for long so I won't need fame or connections. It was inconsequential, but I feel better knowing that I did it."

'That and it was a quest objective so I kind of had to do it...'

Mio grabbed ahold of David's right arm and held it tight.

"Husband, did you think those two girls were attractive?"

David smiled wryly and kissed Mio on the top of her head.

"I would be lying if I said I didn't, but it doesn't matter, right? We won't be seeing them anymore so it's not a big deal. They have lives here and anybody that wants to be with me would have to be comfortable with leaving their home world."

Tomoe smirked. "Haha, young master, have you forgotten the Dimensional Gate Tower? Can't you just link a door to this world and allow for travel between worlds easily?"

"I already created a link, actually. When I brainwashed the goddess, I created a door in her throne room or whatever it is. That way, I can easily check on her to see if she's still being the shitty narcissistic goddess she used to be. If she is, I'll just get rid of the brainwashing, trap her consciousness inside her body, and replace her with a new consciousness crafted personally by me while she's forced to watch herself do things she'd never do."

David shrugged, "Either way, I'll find a way to fix the bigotry and mindless wars in this world eventually."

The girls all nodded, optimistic about a world with much less pointless racism and bloodshed. Well, Toa was optimistic. Tomoe and Mio didn't really care too much anymore as they're just content with being with David.

⟪ However, that'll have to wait. Once I deal with Tomoki in the Gritonia Empire, I'll be done with my Dimensional Quest and I'll get sent back home. I still have Rangiku and Isane at home along with Yoruichi. I'll have a lot to deal with concerning the Bleach franchise and I can just feel something else happening in the background. Anyway, it should be a number of months before the demons start attacking in this world so I don't have to worry about this place for a bit. ⟫

"Let's grab some lunch at an inn before heading to the forest," David said.

The girls all nodded, thinking about what David had said.

⟪ Hmm, I feel like I should ask Sayo if she can provide me with a bunch of minotaur meat. I can make some damn good food with that once I go back home. Marin will love it for sure and I'm certain Rangiku would probably enjoy it, too. Maybe I'll set up a little food stand and infiltrate the Soul Society, giving away some minotaur meat to everyone in the slums area, heheh. ⟫

⟪ Ah! I'm sure Kukaku would love minotaur meat! Right? Right! She totally would! Ahhh~, I can just imagine it. Kukaku, Rangiku, Yoruichi, and me, all together eating minotaur meat and drinking sake... Fuck, I need to hurry up and go back to my world, the wait is killing me! I don't need to save the Forest Ogres, right...? ...Ugh, no, I should help them since I'm aware of their problem. Just gotta figure out a way to convince the old geezers that one of them is possessed by a lich. Or maybe I'll just corner the one who's possessed and tell Shiki that I'm from another world, then tell him he can come with me if he forms a contract... That actually sounds more feasible... ⟫

As David was continuing to ramble, he was unaware of the two blonde girls sneakily following him, bright smiles on their faces as they saw their handsome savior.

Hearing about some of the things David has going on in his home world and the things he was planning on doing, every woman listening to his inner voice was extremely curious. All six of them...

...

On the outskirts of Tsige stood a woman with red-streaked silver hair, a cocky smile, revealing clothing, and a large sword resting on her shoulder.

"You're smiling like that again, Sofia," a blonde-haired boy said.

The woman, Sofia, just laughed and stabbed her sword into the ground.

"Hahaha! You don't understand, Mitsurugi! I wish I could tell you, but I can't! Shit, it's so awesome! I want to meet him!"

Sofia Bulga was enjoying her time slaying monsters and getting stronger when a voice in her head suddenly mentioned his plan to brainwash the goddess.

At first she was confused, thinking that somebody was trying to mess with her using telepathy, but she couldn't sense any magic whatsoever and no way to respond to the voice. Thus, she continued to listen to it.

She was ecstatic when she thought that someone wanted to do such a thing as brainwashing the goddess and when she tried asking her partner, Mitsurugi, about it, she discovered that she was unable to mention anything regarding information she heard from the voice.

Since then, she has been waiting for the next broadcast of the voice, almost like a child waiting for their favorite TV show, and every time she heard his soothing voice mention something new, she would get excited once again.

Then, as she was near Tsige, she heard the voice saying he successfully brainwashed the goddess. This made her tremble with joy, wanting to find the man and ask if it were true.

It was both exhilarating and frustrating for Sofia.

She was able to listen to an interesting man that supposedly managed to do what she's been trying to do for years, but she can't talk about it.

Since she was close, she decided to try her luck with finding the man and get to know him.

"You keep mentioning a man you want to meet, but you can't tell me anything about him. Do you know how weird that sounds?"

"Who cares, he's close! I'll prove it to you, bastard!"

[Sofia] 'I've never felt this way before. If it turns out that he really does control the goddess, then maybe I can finally kill her! Then, I'll look for Root, that piece of shit!'

As Sofia and Mitsurugi approached closer to Tsige, Sofia suddenly stopped and her heart started beating extremely fast.

⟪ Toa should know she'll be much stronger in the future, right? Though, I must say, it's a nice goal to want to be as strong as Sofia Bulga. Well, at least from the people of this world's perspective. Speaking of Sofia, I wonder how she's doing right now... Even though she was a villain in the franchise at first, I never disliked her. She was treated shitty growing up, was used like a tool by Root, despised by the goddess because of her appearance and being a half-dragon, and her childhood friend called her a monster. ⟫

⟪ Honestly, if I meet Sofia while I'm here, I'll probably try and take her with me. She reminds me too much of myself in my past life as far as her childhood goes. She's another character that I definitely wanted to save... Wait, another? ⟫

Sofia wanted to listen more and hear what else the voice had to say about her, but the voice got cut off with a static noise at the end, causing anyone listening to have a slight headache.

Her expression shifted between confusion, sadness, happiness, and anger as she thought about everything she had been through growing up.

"Let's go," Sofia said.

She was more determined than ever to meet the man whose voice she kept hearing inside her head, unaware of the current state the man is in.

(A/N: I did it! I published another chapter 23 hours and 58 minutes after the last one! Woo-hoo~!

While I consider this a win against my sleep problem, I should probably say ahead of time that I'll most likely sleep all day tomorrow so the next chapter is probably going to be either around 3 am like this one, or it'll be at night the next day... Eheheh...

As you can tell, I've tried to speed things up a bit. I didn't plan on adding Sif and Yuno to the harem, but... Honestly, I have no idea where things are going with those two so I'll just have to wait and see how the story unfolds.

As far as Sofia goes, well... She's another one I didn't really plan on adding, but the more I ignored her existence, the more she kept popping up in my head. So most likely, Sofia will be joining David... Sheesh, this Dimensional Quest has been quite fruitful, eh?

Also, for anyone wondering, the shitty goddess will never be a part of David's harem and her mind will only break more and more, so don't expect a redemption arc for her. She's absolute trash. Divine trash...

I feel like I had more to say, but it's probably the sleep exhaustion.

Anyway, thanks for reading the ramblings of a mad man.)
