Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 16: SPORTS

A week passed, and two transfer students were brought to the Tokyo High School. They were both male and female, they're not related in any way though. The female was black haired, fair and had a potential extraordinary feminine structure.

The boy however was a mystery. He had grey hair with white pupils, he seemed to have a cool personality.

They both introduced themselves to the class and next...they started socializing. The female however was average at socializing but the boy was beyond average.

Lucas glared at the boy intensively ("Azuma Tomozaki huh?..."), then he went back to his headphones.

Lucas felt a stabbing gaze at him, he turned but no one seemed to react when he turned.

("Maybe it was my imagination "), He put his head on the table with arms covering his head pretending to go to sleep so that he could get a good wide range look. He saw the culprit and it was the new girl.

Lucas sighed and raised his head up. The fitness exams were about to begin, everyone changed to their tracksuits and went to gym class.

The teacher explained that the written exams will take place tomorrow with two subjects written a day.

The fitness exams consisted of only side steps, grip strength and a race. The rest of the marks will be allocated to the written physical exams.

After sometime, it was the turn for Mia in her class. So far the number of side steps in 1 minute was 80.

Mia took a deep breath and took off sideways, she was so fast that the recorder lost count and gave her an estimation of 120.

Her display caught the attention of others which caused them to exhaust their due time.

Due to the unequal number of people in the class the transfer students were sent to class 1-2.

Tomozaki was next, he was just 5 side steps away from exceeding Mia's. Mia was in shock but she was still somewhat satisfied.

Almost all the classes were finished and it was the turn of Lucas. He looked gloomy because he wasn't ready for the attention, but his items were on the line. He decided to make this one count...he took two deep breaths and waited for the beep of the stop watch.

He immediately burst off sideways with dust all around the atmosphere.

The recorder couldn't see and told Lucas to start again.

He gave a loud sigh and as he was about to begin, Tomozaki cut in.

"No need....it was 150".

The recorder gasped but believing that there was no reason to lie, he wrote it down.

They were both staring at each other like they were in an argument. The teacher then blew his whistle to call the attention of everyone for the gripping strength.

An hour passed and everyone was done.

The last was the race. Since the girls where given a shorter distance of just 200m it was obvious that a female would place higher. The boys however were given 400m.

The race began, everyone started at a slow pace except for 4 students...they were Mia, Lucas, Tomozaki and the student who ranked first place among the first years entry... Lilia.

They burst with full speed to reach the end.

Lucas was just inches ahead of Tomozaki but he wouldn't budge. He was excited as to how he was being second to running.

It was so exciting for him but his excitement turned to a feeling of irritation as he still couldn't take the lead.

The rest of the boys were mocking them because they thought sprinting at an early stage will just drain them totally.

It was a test of endurance and Lucas was ahead, Tomozaki still behind by few inches was beginning to get angry. He tried to hold onto Lucas' tracksuit but Lucas was still running. Mia and Lilia were at competitors mode. Lilia was a fast runner compared to Mia, but Mia was still catching on.

Both Mia and Lilia could see the finish line. Lilia then increased her speed to the max and this time, Mia couldn't catch on, Lilia came in first place.

Later, the rest of the girls came with exhaustion but not as much as Lilia and Mia.

With Lucas still ahead, Tomozaki grew more and more furious. Tomozaki started to slow down because fatigue was catching up to him, however, Lucas turned sideways. Tomozaki was confused but he was pleased because he thought that he had been exhausted.

The loud screaming of desperate boys was heard at the back. Tomozaki looked back to see a large group of boys screaming and running at full speed.

He tried to run too but he was too tired, the finish line was within his eyesight. He was convinced that he could make it.

The boys almost caught up to him but as he was about to cross, someone else did.

It was Lucas who was holding an injured ginger cat that finished the race.

Tomozaki came in second. The boys were extremely exhausted and had to lie down. Lucas however decided to send the cat to the nurse's office for aid.

"Haaa....haaa....t-this...is mockery", Tomozaki looked at the sky with an angry expression.

The week passed by so quickly and the final exams were over. Lucas and Mia were eagerly waiting for their results to see how things turned out.
