Women around the group looked at Victoria in pity as they passed tissues to her. The whole situation was now very awkward as everyone subtly shot Alice judging glances.
"I'm just a woman trying to get her family together. Is that the bad I have done?" she said, crying even harder.
"Child, I know it can be hard to forget your mother, but that doesn't mean that you're going to give another person hell for trying to fill that vacuum in your life," a woman said, chiding Alice.
"Does it give you joy to see her crying like this? Do you feel some kind of fulfillment seeing her like this?"
"Your mother would be ashamed to see you acting out like this. Didn't she teach you any manners whilst you were growing up?"
Alice sat, watching as her Grammy award-winning stepmother made such a display that even Angelina Jolie would be proud.
"You have to apologize for this," another woman said, sneering at Alice.
