At the same moment Peter Parker was bitten by the radioactive spider, several space-time rifts tore open above New York City.

The cracks shimmered with an eerie energy, as if ripped apart by an unseen force, releasing a powerful and mysterious aura.

From within the rifts, several figures drifted out. Their appearances were distorted, faces blurred, as though they had just stepped through from another time and dimension.

"Is this heaven? Didn't I sink into the river with the tritium reactor?" one of the figures murmured to himself.

It was Doctor Otto Octavius—Doctor Octopus—his voice laced with disbelief as he glanced around.

"Am I not dead?" he asked aloud, rubbing his eyes painfully. The buildings looked familiar, but the moment felt surreal, like a dream he couldn't wake from.

Before he could gather his thoughts, a wave of violent instinct overtook him.

His four mechanical arms flared to life with a screech of metal, lashing out in all directions. Concrete cracked. Cars were crushed. The chaos was instant.

Pedestrians fled in terror, screams echoing across the street.

People stared, horrified, as the mechanical monstrosity tore down the road. Fear and panic took hold of the crowd.

There were no superheroes in this world—not yet. Ordinary people could only run and hide, praying someone would save them.

Doctor Octopus seemed to revel in their terror, his mechanical limbs flailing harder, causing destruction like a beast freed from its cage.

Ecstasy twisted his expression into something manic. He was alive, and now the world would know.

Suddenly, a barrage of gunfire rang out, sirens blaring as the NYPD's heavily armed SWAT teams arrived on the scene. Officers opened fire, trying to stop the rampage.

But it was like firing pebbles at a hurricane.

Vehicles were hurled like toys, smashing into the police barricades. Screams rang out as several officers and civilians were caught in the carnage—blood splattering, bodies flung like rag dolls.

The devastation mounted, and despite their training, the SWAT teams began to buckle under pressure.

Helicopters hovered overhead, broadcasting the chaos live across the city. Millions watched in horror as the mechanical monster laid waste to everything in his path.

People prayed. They whispered desperate hopes into the silence. Someone—anyone—needed to stop this.

Peter Parker, walking home from school, passed a storefront showing the news broadcast.

He froze, watching the destruction unfold. His fists clenched.

I wish I had the power to stop this…

On screen, a mother was running with her young daughter. The little girl stumbled, tripping over a piece of rubble.

Doctor Octopus noticed. A cruel smirk curled across his lips.

Without hesitation, he grabbed a nearby car with one of his arms and hurled it toward them.

The mother turned, eyes wide in horror. She clutched her daughter tightly and crouched, intending to shield her with her own body. Her face twisted in fear, desperation—and resolve.

Peter's heart pounded as he watched.

"No!" he screamed at the screen, as if willing his voice to intervene. "No!"

And just before the car struck—

A sound echoed through the broadcast. Mechanical. Powerful.

"Eternal."

Smoke rose from the point of impact, and when it cleared, there stood a mysterious figure—a black cape fluttering in the wind, a blue-and-white mask concealing his face.

He looked like a knight out of another world. A god of war made flesh.

He had blocked the car effortlessly.

It was Alex Ray.

Having sensed something wrong in the timeline, Alex had rushed to the scene. To protect his identity—as he was still an undocumented anomaly in this universe—he had donned the mantle of Kamen Rider Eternal.

"You're safe now," Alex said calmly, glancing back at the stunned mother and daughter.

The mother blinked, her mind catching up with reality. She grabbed her daughter and bowed repeatedly in thanks, her voice choked with emotion.

Alex didn't linger. "Get out of here," he warned. "This place isn't safe anymore."

The crowd watching the live broadcast erupted in cheers. Hope had arrived in the form of this masked hero.

Some older viewers, overwhelmed with relief, fainted in their living rooms.

Peter practically leapt off the ground with excitement. "So cool!" he shouted, eyes gleaming.

To him, this knight was everything he wanted to be—brave, strong, admired.

If only he had powers like that… Maybe then Mary Jane would notice him. Maybe he wouldn't be bullied anymore.

The only person who wasn't impressed was Doctor Octopus.

Scowling, he glared at the newcomer. "What are you supposed to be? The superhero of this world?"

He didn't wait for an answer. He lunged.

The mechanical arms shot forward, but Alex didn't flinch. With a blur of motion, he dodged with ease, his body vanishing and reappearing in a flash.

A cold light flashed in Alex's eyes. He shot forward and landed a solid punch to Doctor Octopus's chest, knocking him back several paces.

"You have no idea what you're dealing with," Alex said coolly.

Doctor Octopus stared, shocked. His full-strength strike had been dodged—no, humiliated—and he'd been knocked back like an amateur.

The watching crowd gasped. Even the heavily armed SWAT officers hadn't put a dent in this monster—but the blue-and-white knight had done it with a single blow.

Cheers broke out across the city.

"Get him! Take that thing down!"

Peter stared, awestruck. This knight wasn't just cool—he was the kind of hero Peter had dreamed of becoming.

In his mind, Peter imagined himself beneath that mask, saving the city, winning Mary's heart, revealing his identity as a hero in a grand romantic gesture.

He smiled dreamily, completely lost in the fantasy.

Doctor Octopus, on the other hand, was losing patience.

Driven by rage, he unleashed every arm in his arsenal, attacking wildly in all directions.

Blades and claws extended from his limbs, lashing out at the crowd.

The onlookers screamed and scattered.

Alex surveyed the chaos with a sigh. "Does no one ever consider that watching from the sidelines while eating snacks might actually be dangerous?"

He lifted his hand. A magnetic pulse rippled through the air.

The robotic arms suddenly jerked, twisted, and coiled into a tangled ball, their joints grinding as they seized up.

Doctor Octopus's eyes widened in horror. His prized limbs—his tools of power—were no longer responding.

"Who… Who are you?" he stammered, his voice trembling for the first time.

The people watching held their breath. The camera zoomed in on the masked knight as he slowly raised one hand, cape flowing dramatically.

"I'm just a Kamen Rider passing by," Alex said, voice low and steady. "Remember that."
