When Peter walked out of the room, he saw a strange man in red tights standing on the stairs, whistling cheerfully, completely lost in his own world.

Peter was slightly stunned—this was definitely not what he expected.

He greeted the strange man awkwardly.

The man turned around and flashed a dazzling smile, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Deadpool spotted Peter and pulled him into a friendly hug, then pointed a thumb at himself and said proudly, "Listen, your Uncle Ben is still alive thanks to my Horse Charm."

His tone dripped with pride.

"Kid, remember the name—Deadpool. Or, if you prefer, just call me Handsome. I personally think it fits me better."

Peter gave Deadpool an awkward smile and nodded in gratitude. "Thanks for saving my uncle. I'm Peter Parker."

Though Peter had no clue who this man calling himself Deadpool was, and was very curious about his relationship with Alex Ray, he figured Deadpool probably stepped in for Alex's sake.

There was no way Peter believed he'd done anything to earn a stranger's help out of the blue.

When Deadpool heard Peter's name, his expression froze in exaggerated shock. His jaw practically dropped.

He stared at Peter, eyes gleaming with excitement, then made a dramatic gesture mimicking web-slinging.

"So you know how to do this, right?" Deadpool asked eagerly.

Peter blinked, confused. But as he looked at the hand gesture, something clicked.

He mirrored the same movement, and a stream of spider silk shot from his wrist with a soft thwip.

Deadpool's face lit up with satisfaction.

He hadn't expected to meet another Peter Parker in this universe—and one with the same abilities as Miles.

I wonder... will this Peter, the one who always wants to be a superhero in my universe, grow into the Spider-Man standing before me now?

Peter was increasingly baffled by how everyone seemed to know about his powers.

The Kamen Rider from before, Deadpool now, even Alex Ray—they all seemed oddly familiar with his abilities.

It made him even more desperate to know why.

Deadpool caught Peter's curious stare and smirked.

"You really wanna know how I know about your powers?"

Peter nodded quickly, his eyes burning with curiosity.

But Deadpool didn't answer right away.

He paused, then said in a teasing tone, "I'm not telling. If you really wanna know, go ask Alex Ray. I've got girls to chase. Byeeee~"

He tugged down his right eyelid and stuck out his tongue at Peter, making a goofy face.

Then he turned, leaped out the window, and vanished from sight.

Peter stared after him, exasperated, and rolled his eyes.

Are all the people here like this? he wondered. But he didn't have time to dwell on it.

He was determined now—he had to find Alex Ray and get answers.

Just as he was about to head downstairs, Deadpool popped back up through the window.

He leaned on the windowsill and asked, "Oh right, do you happen to have an Aunt May? A real stunner in her 30s—still got that irresistible charm?"

Deadpool's mind had clearly gone elsewhere.

If Peter Parker existed in this universe, maybe there was also an Aunt May.

He never got to hook up with Aunt May in his own world, but maybe this was his second chance.

That hopeful gleam flickered in Deadpool's eyes.

Peter had no idea why Deadpool asked that, but answered honestly, "Yeah, I was raised by Aunt May and Uncle Ben. But if I'm not mistaken, Aunt May is already over 60. Maybe you're confusing her with someone else?"

His tone was firm. No way he'd forget Aunt May's age—she had white hair, for crying out loud. She was definitely not in her 30s.

A look of disappointment crossed Deadpool's face.

So much for that plan.

Then, once again, he disappeared out the window.

Peter stared after him, puzzled.

Why ask about Aunt May? Why be disappointed at her age?

But he didn't have time to think too hard about it. He had more important things to do—like finding Alex Ray.

Downstairs, Alex was chatting with Doctor Octopus about the future development of Hell's Kitchen School when he saw Peter come down the stairs.

He paused the conversation and smiled. "Come on down."

Peter approached, his expression filled with gratitude and respect.

He bowed deeply and said sincerely, "Thank you for saving my uncle. And… I'm sorry."

The apology was heartfelt.

Peter had wrongly assumed that Alex had the power to save Uncle Ben but chose not to. That misunderstanding had made him resentful.

But after everything that happened, he realized how wrong he'd been—and guilt gnawed at him.

Alex waved it off, letting Peter know it was okay.

Then, a series of system prompts echoed in Alex's mind:

"Congratulations. Peter Parker (Tobey version)'s friendship level has increased to two stars."

"Congratulations. Favorability raised to five stars."

"New attribute acquired: Spider Sense."

"Would you like to integrate it immediately?"

"Yes." Alex responded silently.

Doctor Octopus, who had been watching from the side, had a strange look in his eyes.

He stepped forward, voice tinged with emotion. "Hey, Peter… long time no see. You look younger and more energetic. Keep it up. You've always been a good kid."

There was a warmth in his words—a blend of fondness and sorrow.

Perhaps he was recalling their first meeting, when Peter was still a passionate teenager, diving into science with reckless enthusiasm.

Or maybe he remembered the moment he plunged into the river, sacrificing himself in front of Peter, weighed down by purpose and regret.

Either way, he was glad to see Peter again.

Peter, by now growing numb to everyone mysteriously knowing him, returned the greeting. "You seem to know me, too. Have we met?"

His voice trembled with confusion.

Questions clawed at his mind, tangled like vines. Why did everyone know him? He was just a regular high schooler—what made him so special?

Alex seemed to understand Peter's inner turmoil. He spoke calmly, "Don't worry. It's not just us. There's someone else who knows you. Someone who wants to meet you."

Peter's eyes widened. "Who?"

Just then, a sudden shift occurred in the living room.

A pile of sand appeared out of nowhere.

It shouldn't have been there, yet the grains swirled and moved with intention, like they were alive.

Gradually, they began to merge and condense… forming the shape of a person.
