"Three Hashira, in Action"
A gigantic spider stood before Tanjiro and Inosuke. They had defeated the spider mother who controlled the Demon Slayers with her webs, but now faced the immensely strong spider father, forcing them into a desperate battle.
"Water Breathing, Tenth Style: Constant Flux!"
Tanjiro, having pinned the spider father under a fallen tree, prepared to use the most powerful Water Breathing technique. As he spun in the air, creating a blue water circle, the spider father suddenly rose, lifting the tree.
To avoid being hit, Tanjiro abandoned his attack and slashed at the tree. The spider father, lifting the tree high above his head, spun, flinging Tanjiro into the air.
"great son!" Inosuke, already bloodied, yelled.
"Inosuke! Don't die before I get back!" Tanjiro shouted from the air. "That guy's an Upper Moon! Don't die! Don't die! You absolutely can't die!"
Tanjiro disappeared into the forest.
Feeling himself plummeting, Tanjiro prepared a technique to cushion his fall.
"Water Breathing, Second Style: Water Wheel!"
He swung his sword downwards, creating a blue water circle that softened his landing. He rolled, stopping only when he hit a tree.
Unbeknownst to him, his Flying Thunder God kunai, which he'd kept in his pocket, fell out and landed in the bushes.
At the site of Tanjiro and Inosuke's battle with the spider mother, Shinobu Kocho and Giyu Tomioka arrived.
"Do you recognize anyone here?" Shinobu Kocho asked Giyu Tomioka, looking at the corpses of Demon Slayers. "There doesn't seem to be a single survivor."
"The message said more Mizunoto-rank slayers entered the mountain. They're probably dead by now," Giyu Tomioka said calmly, his usual impassive expression slightly softened.
Shinobu Kocho wasn't angry, accustomed to Giyu Tomioka's aloofness.
A figure flashed through the trees, landing before them—Aoki.
"Ah, Giyu-senpai, and Kocho-san," Aoki greeted them with a smile. He usually called Shinobu Kocho "Kocho-senpai" in public, reserving "Kocho-san" for private settings. But now, with her high favorability, he could use the more informal term.
Shinobu Kocho smiled. "Aoki-kun, you've arrived. The Master suspected an Upper Moon might be here, so he summoned you."
Giyu Tomioka, seeing Aoki, was reminded of their previous conversation and showed a subtle change in expression.
"Let's go," Giyu Tomioka said, heading into the forest.
Aoki and Shinobu Kocho followed.
"The moon is beautiful," Shinobu Kocho said, looking at Giyu Tomioka. "It's rare to work together. Aoki-kun is your junior brother. Let's get along."
"Yes, Giyu-senpai, you've overcome your burden. You no longer feel unworthy to stand with us," Aoki added.
Giyu Tomioka remained impassive. "I'm here to kill demons."
"So cold," Shinobu Kocho said. "Let's split up. I'll go west."
She subtly glanced at Aoki, who also looked at her. They awkwardly exchanged glances, blushing slightly before Shinobu Kocho sped off.
Aoki paused, then said to Giyu Tomioka, "Giyu-senpai, let's work together."
Giyu Tomioka nodded.
Aoki sighed. He thought Giyu Tomioka would be more open after resolving his issues with Sabito, but he seemed to have embraced his aloof persona.
As they ran, Aoki, using his Sharingan, spotted something.
"Something's wrong!"
They saw a giant demon holding Inosuke by the head, blood splattering everywhere.
Aoki's thoughts: "Is that Inosuke? The spider father?" He knew this wasn't the time for such thoughts.
"Senpai, quickly! That's a Demon Slayer!" Aoki yelled, drawing his sword.
Giyu Tomioka charged, severing the demon's arm holding Inosuke. Aoki followed, attacking the demon's head.
"Breath of Devouring, Fifth Style: Shura's Bloody Blade!"
Blood-red energy surrounded his sword, accompanied by a demonic roar. A crimson blade flash severed the spider father's neck.
