Mirae went home as she doesn't feel well as she went to the kitchen to get some water when she saw Nam Li sitting on the dinning table like he was waiting for her.
"So how was your talk with Jisoo, Mirae Kim?" He asked being sarcastic as Elian was upstairs taking a bath.
"Jisoo Kim is my cousin." Mirae said with confidence as Nam Li smirked.
"That idiot is the chairwoman's assistant. I bet you didn't know that by now." Nam Li said.
"I already know, Jisoo is bad at lying. He cannot lie to me. The chairwoman's love to play this type of games." She answered that left Nam Li speechless.
"How much do you know the Jung's?" Nam Li asked.
"I know everything, I just act dumb that's it." She said as she slowly start feeling dizzy. "Your quite cocky for someone who don't even deserve to be in the Jung's interest. What did you do that even the chairwoman has her eyes on you?" Nam Li asked again as he cornered Mirae Kim.
"To be honest Nam Li I didn't do that much, It was just me repaying the Jung's and Kyler's help. If you want to know more about me then you better do well on your job so you won't get confused like this." she said as she sat down and drink some water.
"How was Seon?" she asked as Nam li stared at him. "Why would you care?"
"Of course I will care, He's my secretary and he got hit because of my ex doings." she explained. "Kyler won't easily accept the fact that I am in a relationship with Elian Jung right now." she added.
"I wish here are some ways I can do to be able to meet with the chairwoman." She said as she knew that having conversation with Jisoo means that she's planning something on bringing her down.
'I already paid my debt, What else did that old lady still want?' she asked herself.
In the second floor Elian heard their conversation and cannot help to step in. "You can come with me tomorrow to meet my mother." he said as Nam Li and Mirae were stunned by his appearance as they thought that he was still at his room taking a bath.
"But Sir isn't it a big deal to bring a commoner in the-" Nam Li stopped by Elian's glare. "I will tell the chairwoman about this sir." he changed his perception as Nam Li silence echoed around the room.
"Mirae, Are you okay?" he asked as Mirae's face was quite red.
"You have a fever." he confirmed when he touched Mirae's forehead.
"Nam Li you can leave now, I'll take it from here." He said as Nam Li excused himself. When he went outside Elian's apartment he froze when he saw Jisoo on the corner smirking.
"Why are you here?" He asked. "I didn't know that Elian and Mirae are already living together Nam Li, What will the chairman say about this? That Elian's secretary is incompetent enough to advice his boss not to mess with this devil?" He asked as Nam Li grabbed Jisoo's collar.
"Do you know how much I tried to tell him not to but he still insisted on helping and having that girl? If she's a devil then my boss is Satan himself." he said as Jisoo smiled knowing that he really pissed the cold and cool Nam Li Hyuk.
"Nam Li Hyuk I am just here to deliver a message to Elian Jung that the chairwoman asked for his presence today as the chairwoman have something important to say." Jisoo explained.
"Jisoo, My boss won't be coming today." he said. "Pardon?" Jisoo asked.
"I said Elian Jung cannot come today."
'What the fvck is this assistant saying?' Jisoo asked himself pissed as the chairwoman prepared the mansion looking forward on meeting with her son Elian and now he just change his mind.
"The chairwoman is looking for Elian and is expecting his presence tonight." he repeated. "I know but I don't think Elian will make it today." Nam Li said.
In the condominium Elian was worried sick as he took Mirae on her room.
"Mirae what happen that you caught a fever?" he asked as Mirae smiled. "Maybe I just restrained my body by work and papers to fill up for the clients." she answered thinking all the things she did today including meeting with Kyler.
"Why are you overworking yourself?" He asked calmly as Mirae smiled.
"Because I only have this last chance to bring my life back together." She answered as she starts coughing.
"You should take some good rest." Elian stand up and was about to walk out of her room when she grabbed his hand.
"Hey can you stay until I go to sleep?" She asked as Elian smirked.
"Yeah sure..." He answered. Mirae doesn't want Elian by her side but she noticed that whenever Elian is home she starts to stop dreaming about her past with Kyler himself.
"Mirae..." He called as Mirae stared at him.
"Do you really wish for me to be by your side right now?" He asked again as Mirae slowly nodded.
"Mirae, My family is horrible they tend to go far on messing around with you just because it's fun to do it. Are you really sure your staying?" He asked again.
"Your the person who helped me that snowy day. I don't know why you kept me here but I really am thankful that you helped me and gained my existence back." She said.
"Mirae...." He called again as Mirae smiled at him sadly.
"I know the Jung's, I know how far they will go to mess with me but your not letting your wife getting bullied by your family right?" She asked.
Elian looked at her as her eyes are sparkling.
"I wanna kiss you..." He murmured. Mirae was caught off guard.
"I guess we could since your my fiance after all." Mirae said as she grabbed Elian's nape and kissed him passionately.
'Hmm...' he groaned.
"You'll caught my fever if you don't stop..." Mirae said in between kisses.
"I can't..." He whispered back as he slide his tongue inside her mouth.
Mirae eyes widen as she felt like she just pushed the wrong button right now.
Out of breath as their kiss stopped Elian just stared at her with passionate eyes.
"Mirae, Will it be possible for you to like me?" He asked that left Mirae out of words.
"Do you like me Ajussi?" She asked as Elian smirked.
"Of course I don't, forget about my question. Have some rest as we'll be meeting the chairwoman tomorrow." Elian said as he went walked out of Mirae's room as his heart starts aching.
'Fvck it why would you say that Elian Jung?!' he asked himself as he messed his hair.
Mirae sighed seeing Elian's frustrated face before leaving her room.
'What's the matter with him? I don't mind trying to love him and give him a chance.' Mirae said knowing that Elian could be someone she could trust on.
After all the things Elian did for her who is she to decline the man that save her from hell?
Mirae sleeps in as she thought about the possibilities that would happen tomorrow as she will meet with Elian's mother.
'Kyler Jung's Grandmother, I doubt that she will be happy to see me.'
The next morning Elian woke up early to cook breakfast for Mirae but he was shock to see Mirae cooking in the kitchen herself.
"Mirae, What are you doing being up so early?" Elian asked, Mirae showed the cooked sunny side up as she smirked.
"I cooked us breakfast." She said as Elian just stared at her. "How about your fever?" He asked as he check on her temperature.
"I'm okay now Ajussi, There is nothing to worry about." She reassured.
"I will still have my personal doctor to check on you." He said. "Just to make sure that your body is okay." He added.
"I'm a strong woman though, A little fever won't bring me down." Mirae said as she placed her cooked eggs on the table.
"Sit down and eat with me, That's not too much to ask right?" She asked.
Elian slowly sat down as he grabbed the spoon and fork and start tasting Mirae's cooking.
"Say Ajussi we've been living together for quite awhile now, kissed and even discussed about marriage but love is not being discussed." She started.
"I suggest we talk about love right now and our plans in the future." Mirae said as Elian was caught off guard.
"Love?"
"Yeah love..."
"You must be confuse about the relationship I'm giving you Ms.Kim. I am not here to love you, You are not here to love me either. We are just both accompanying each other, You being my so called wife and me as your biggest sponsor in your own made business." He said as Mirae smiled.
'This sick wacko is pissing me off.'
Mirae thoughts are full of sarcasm as she smiled fakely to the prideful Elian.
"Then I'm sorry if I misjudged that sweet kiss yesterday Ajussi." She said as she grabbed her plate andeft the dining room.
