While Arthur was annoyed that he was treated like glass, the cohort was actually taking a break like Arthur should have been doing.
Abner was on the balcony of the castle on a chair crafted by one of the sleepers out of a nightmare creature's bones.
He was looking at the people below and at the Dark City, still infested with nightmare creatures, as he thought to himself, 'Soon we will all leave this place; we won't have to fear the nightmare creatures here anymore.'
Abner continued his thoughts as he looked back towards the castle, 'And we won't dread the boredom of these halls any longer!'
Abner was confident they would leave the Forgotten Shores, even though a fallen terror was guarding it. With Arthur's plan, everyone could get out of here.
'Arthur, that guy, he's been a little off on our journey; he usually doesn't talk that much, and he didn't let us use him as a TV much during the journey, telling us we will go home soon anyway. Did something happen?'
Abner sighed as he thought about it more.
'Arthur mentioned that if anyone could reach Godhood, it's me and Kaelen, but when Kaelen mentioned he has an even better chance, he shook his head and changed the topic: did he see how he will die in the future?
That explains him wanting to talk to us so much more than usual! Is it during the Crimson Spire? But his plan is good enough to kill that fallen terror; is it after? He doesn't even seem to mind it much; does he feel that guilty about causing Zane's death?'
Abner gave up on finding an answer and cursed under his breath, "Damn Seer's always so vague. If there's something bothering you, just say so!"
He decided to talk to Kaelen about it. Arthur and Kaelen always joked around with one another. If there's someone who can confirm Arthur is acting weird, it's him.
After asking around for Kaelen he soon found him walking about the castle halls. Abner called out to him and asked,
"Hey! Kaelen wait! There's something I've been meaning to ask: Don't you think Arthur has been acting a little strange lately?"
Kaelen seemed to think about it for a moment and replied, "Well, now that you mentioned it…" As the two shared their opinions with one another, they became convinced Arthur saw his own death,
and they planned to stop it if it was possible, so they told the other members of the cohort about their guess so that they could intervene if he's in danger.
Soon their little vacation was over, and The Cohort went to the catacombs of the Dark City, searching for The Lord of the Dead.
Arthur's plan to defeat it was simple; in fact, he didn't even have to do much, since Glorielle would shoot powerful enchanted arrows with her Enhancement ability made by her Fusion ability,
Kaelen would steal its momentum to make it impossible for it to Dodge,
while all he had to do was provoke it with the charms Glorielle had given him and keep dodging; he was even given Abner's armor for this fight.
Arthur even had his echo, The Hounds of Fulgrim nearby, to control its soul strings once the fight started, just in case the Arrows couldn't kill it.
The rest would only accompany them until they reached the Fallen Tyrant; it was too dangerous for them to participate, since there was no need to anyway.
Arthur and the rest reached the entrance of the room where the Lord of the Dead was after battling his skeleton minions for half a day and didn't rush; instead, they rested for a bit.
After regaining their energy, Kaelen, Glorielle and Arthur entered the room.
Arthur threw some torches in the room as he entered.
But Glorielle attacked first, shooting a powerful arrow at the fallen Tyrant; it didn't do much, though the Lord of the Dead wasn't weak after all.
The Lord of the Dead started moving to attack them when Arthur started taunting it, activating the charms Glorielle had given him:
"You dare to call yourself a Lord!? Of the dead, even! Please look in a mirror; you barely pass as a corpse, you Bone Junkyard!"
The Lord of the Dead immediately focused his attention on Arthur, who had his hounds of Fulgrim hidden in a corner, quietly manipulating the Tyrants soul strings.
Arthur managed to dodge using Flame Jump on a torch he brought here and threw away as soon as he entered.
'This massive thing is fast. If I were a sleeper, I would have been dead, but I'm an awakened now; I can dodge something that massive.'
Kaelen had already quietly gotten behind the Tyrant and used his aspect ability, My Moment, to steal its momentum, leaving it defenseless against another of Glorielle's powerful Arrows.
The Tyrant seemed to realize what was happening and unleash an AOE attack, hitting Kaelen and Glorielle while Arthur used his paper figurine substitution to escape it.
(AOE=area of effect)
Arthur once again taunted the Tyrant while his friends recovered. "What's wrong? Can't you hit me at all? Look how close I am! If I'm making it so easy, even a child could do it, much less a "Lord" if that's what you are anyway"
The Lord was angry at his insults that it couldn't understand, so it attacked him in annoyance once again.
Arthur Dodged with Flame Jump again, lampooning out loud, "If it didn't work last time, why try again this time? Were you a gambler in your last life?"
The Lord of the Dead was even more furious and started attacking Arthur madly without stop.
Glorielle and Kaelen had recovered by now and were returning to their positions.
The Lord of the Dead was suddenly stunned for half a second and hit again by a powerful arrow shot by Glorielle At first, they didn't do much; it hurt The Lord of the Dead but not fatally.
However, the damage was mounting on him, and he realized it, so he fought against the instinct to hit Arthur and aimed for Kaelen and Glorielle with another AOE attack,
But as he started doing that, he suddenly got slower. He felt as if his limbs were made out of rusty wood.
Arthur shouted, noticing the Fallen Tyrants state, "Dodge, it's an AOE attack! It's been slowed by my Echos ability!"
Kaelen nodded quickly as he prepared to dodge, and Glorielle simply acted without giving a response.
The attack missed all of them, and with its slowed state, it became easy prey for Arthur and his cohort.
Soon, Glorielle heard the voice of the Nightmare Spell as her Arrow Pierced the Skull of the Lord of the Dead.
[You have Slain a Fallen Tyrant: Lord of the Dead]
[You have received a memory: Starlight Shard]
After Arthur gave the armor memory to Abner and they headed back to the Dark City.
After arriving, Arthur announced for everyone to hear, "Everyone, listen! Today is the day we will all go to get the Dawn Shard and Lay Siege to the Crimson Spire! Today is the day we gain our freedom back! Are you all ready to fight for it?"
"YEAH!" All of them shouted enthusiastically, and together with Arthur and his cohort, Traveled to the Lord's Statue, defeating the fallen beast, holding it easily.
Abner said to the cohort, "Hey, why don't we make an oath too while we are at it?"
Arthur was a little surprised by his words, but he quickly agreed, as did the rest.
Abner said, "Let our oath be to all get out of here alive!" And the rest of the cohort then held the seven shards together, getting the oath keys; Arthur was the one to hold them.
After doing that, Arthur announced, "The Crimson Spire is Next! We must kill the fallen terror for our nightmare to end!"
The people in front of him shouted the next part along with him, "LETS KILL THE SUN!"
And the people then continued shouting, "YEAH!"
