Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: “Memories of the Future”

Everything burned.

Konoha in ruins.Mountains cracked open.Skies red with ash and blood.

Bodies lay everywhere.Ninjas. Civilians. Children.

In the center of the wreckage—Ryuki stood alone.

His eye—no longer broken—Now complete.

Six spirals on his chest. All glowing. All alive. But his hands—His hands were soaked in blood.

And at his feet…

Eri.

Still. Cold. Unmoving.

He blinked.

The vision faded.

And he was back.

Back in the tomb.Back in the darkness.

Eri knelt beside him, wiping blood from his lips.

He flinched away from her touch.

"…Ryuki?"

He didn't answer.

He just stared at his own hands.

Remembering.

Outside.

The sky over Uzushio trembled.

Lightning danced across black clouds.

The fifth fragment pulsed inside him—wild, unstable, aware.

Every second, it whispered:

"Only one path leads to salvation.

Everyone else must die."

Back in Konoha, Tsunade read the newest intel scroll.

Sai's report came with a rough sketch.

The woman from the tomb.

Tsunade's hands trembled slightly.

This wasn't a rogue ninja.

This wasn't Akatsuki.

This was something ancient.

Something pre-Shinobi.

She locked the scroll in her deepest drawer.

Then whispered:

"…What have we uncovered?"

Underground, Hidden Rain.

The silver-haired boy meditated beneath a rain-dripping ceiling.

A spiral floated before him.The sixth.Sealed.Waiting.

One of the twins entered.

"We found her."

He opened his eyes.

"Where?"

"Border of the Fire Country. Traveling with Ryuki."

He stood.

"This ends now."

Meanwhile.

Ryuki and Eri traveled through the forest in silence.

He hadn't spoken since the tomb.

Hadn't slept.

Barely ate.

Eri watched him from behind.

She saw it now.

The weight. The cracks. The thing festering behind his broken eye.

He had five fragments.

But each one stole a piece of him.

They stopped at an abandoned inn near the Fire border.

Cold night.No villagers.Empty hearth.

Eri lit a fire.

Ryuki sat in the corner, staring at the flames.

"…I saw you die," he whispered.

She looked up.

"What?"

"In the vision."

He finally met her eyes.

"I had all six fragments. Konoha was gone. Everyone was dead. You were the last."

She stayed quiet.

Then walked over and sat beside him.

"You won't let that happen," she said.

He looked away.

"I don't know if I can stop it."

She reached out—

Touched the spiral on his chest.

Warmth pulsed through him.

"You're still human, Ryuki. Even if the eye forgets that."

Midnight.

He woke with a start.

The fire was out.

The air cold.

And something was wrong.

Eri was gone.

Outside.

The twins waited in the clearing.

Eri stood between them.

Eyes locked.Calm.

"I knew you'd come," she said.

One of them laughed. "You're not the target."

"I am now," she replied.

She raised her hand.

The red spiral mark on her palm burned like fire.

Both twins froze.

Then lunged.

Back inside—

Ryuki burst from the inn.

Too late.

The clearing was lit with red chakra.Explosions.Dust.Screaming wind.

And in the center—

Eri.

Standing alone.

Bleeding. But not falling.

The twins staggered back.

Burned. Shaking.

"What are you?" one of them hissed.

She didn't answer.

Her eyes—bright. Focused.

The same spiral symbol now glowed on her forehead.

Ryuki appeared beside her.

He didn't ask how.

Didn't need to.

She was more than he'd known.

She wasn't just tied to the fragments—

She was made from them.

The twins tried to escape.

They didn't make it.

When the light faded—

Only Ryuki and Eri stood in the clearing.

Snow fell.

Quiet again.

Eri collapsed into his arms.

"I'm scared too," she whispered.

He held her tighter.

"I won't let it happen. I'll change the future."

But behind them—

The spiral on her forehead pulsed once.

Like it knew something he didn't.

Far away.

The silver-haired boy stared at the sixth fragment.

It trembled.

He smiled.

"Let's finish it."
