Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Hakoku Sovernity Slash.

The moment the two giants stood up, everyone spotted them. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, dragging their prey, ran toward the giants, eager to watch the commotion.

Meanwhile, near the volcano, Shin'ya stood atop a large tree. The volcanic eruption was originally scheduled for another day, but to expedite their departure, Shin'ya used his chakra to trigger the eruption prematurely. This was done to bring the two giants together for their grand battle, allowing him to learn Hakoku Sovereign Slash from them.

Just as the two giants were about to clash, Shin'ya instantly appeared on Dorry's head and asked, "What are you fighting for? Has a hundred years not been enough? Have you thought about your kingdom? I heard there are barely any giants left in Elbaf, and it's because of your absence. Is the reason for your fight more important than your own people?"

Upon hearing this, Dorry and Brogy immediately lowered their shields and weapons and sat down. At the same time, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji arrived at the scene.

Luffy spotted Shin'ya from afar and waved, shouting, "Hey, Shin'ya, what are you doing here? Haha, I brought some prey!"

Shin'ya dismounted from Dorry's head and sat down with Luffy and the others to roast meat.

Dorry asked, "Kid, what do you mean there aren't many people left in our kingdom?"

"My name is Shin'ya Kurozawa, and these are my captain and crewmates," Shin'ya introduced himself, then continued, "I don't know the exact details, but I heard that decades ago, an eight-year-old challenged all of Elbaf. That battle was devastating, with heavy casualties. Now, you can hardly see any giants left there."

Brogy sighed and looked at Dorry. "What were we even fighting for back then? Do you remember?"

Dorry replied helplessly, "Remember what? It's been over a hundred years — who remembers? Maybe it was for glory, but I've long since forgotten."

"Ah, yes, we've forgotten. Let's go back to Elbaf tomorrow, search for our remaining kin. " Brogy said.

"That's more like it. What's the point of fighting here? This isn't a hundred years ago. Your strength on the seas is just mid-tier now. It's better to go back and protect your own people," Shin'ya said with satisfaction.

After much persuasion from Luffy and the others, the two giants finally reconciled in a relaxed atmosphere of eating and chatting.

"Thank you for enlightening us. We now understand our mistake. Tomorrow, we'll head to Elbaf. We just don't know if anyone still remembers us," they both said at the same time.

"Ah, don't thank me so fast. I want to learn your giant race's ultimate technique — Hakoku Sovereign Slash. Can you teach me?" Shin'ya didn't hesitate and asked directly.

"Hakoku? We can teach you, but our version isn't complete. Neither of us has Conqueror's Haki. What we can teach is only the power-exertion technique. Do you still want to learn?" Dorry asked.

Shin'ya's face lit up. He had Conqueror's Haki! He immediately nodded, "I want to learn! With the technique alone, I can use it. Teach me."

"In that case, watch closely. We can only do it twice before we're exhausted. Hakoku isn't written down anywhere. You only get two chances. If you don't grasp it, you'll have to wait days for us to recover," Dorry said seriously.

"Twice? That's plenty! Thank you both" Shin'ya said respectfully.

The two giants slowly rose, their massive forms making the earth seem to tremble.

They exchanged glances — no words, only a nod, conveying their resolve.

Then, each picked up their weapon and crossed them together.

As their weapons touched, a powerful surge of energy built up in their arms. This force, like a raging torrent, coursed through their muscles, causing their arms to quiver slightly.

Where the weapons met, a dense swirl of Armament Haki gathered, occasionally crackling with streaks of black lightning.

The power continued to accumulate, like a compressed spring waiting to be unleashed.

At last, both giants roared together, "Hakoku!"

The roar echoed like thunder across the sea.

With it, their massive arms swung down, sending a purplish-black energy sphere hurtling towards the ocean like a cannonball.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

A series of earth-shattering roars followed as the sea split open, forming a colossal, bottomless chasm.

It resembled a boundless black hole, with the seawater vanishing as if devoured by this immense power.

But this was only the beginning.

Immediately after, a more terrifying energy burst from the chasm, surging outward like a volcanic eruption with world-shattering might.

Even Luffy and the others, far from the shore, felt the shockwave like a hurricane, nearly blowing them off their feet.

After the Hakoku unleashed its might, the two giants staggered, panting heavily. They calmed themselves and turned to Shin'ya.

Dorry spoke. "Shin'ya, kid, did you catch the technique? If you didn't, we can show you one more time."

Shin'ya's lips curled into a confident grin. "No need. I've got it."

Brogy eyed him skeptically. "You sure? Learned Hakoku just by watching once?"

Shin'ya patted his chest. "Don't worry. I like to joke, but I wouldn't brag about something like this."

"In that case, we won't show it again. We haven't done it in a hundred years — even one use leaves us drained. We won't keep you here," Dorry said, weary.

Brogy added, "You should head back first. We'll rest, then get to work building a raft. Tomorrow, we'll set sail for the Giant Kingdom."

To thank them, Shin'ya said, "For teaching me Hakoku, I'll take care of your ship. Rest up and save your strength so you don't run into trouble at sea."

As he spoke, Shin'ya formed a massive hundred-meter chakra sword and cleared a swath of trees where Hakoku had struck.

Then, using Wood Release, he crafted a giant ship big enough for four giants. " Here's your ship. A hundred times sturdier than a raft."

"The ship's done. We're heading out. Goodbye!" Shin'ya waved.

"Let's go, Luffy. Nami and the others are waiting for us to bring back food."

Soon after, they returned to the Going Merry. Shin'ya stood on deck, secretly relieved. Thankfully, Nami didn't stay alone in the forest and get bitten by poisonous bugs like in the original story.

Just then, the cabin door burst open and Nami ran out, anxious. "Hurry up and get the meat loaded onto the ship! We need to leave this cursed island right away! It's full of poisonous insects, and without a doctor, if anyone gets bitten, they'd be doomed! We can eat after we get out of here. Move it!"

Hearing Nami's urgent words, the previously lighthearted mood turned serious. Everyone realized the danger and quickly packed the dinosaur meat, preparing to leave.

After an hour of frantic work, the Going Merry finally sailed away from Little Garden, like an old man bidding farewell to his home.

But amidst this seemingly peaceful departure, A tiny, sesame-sized poisonous insect was crawling slowly toward Nami's room.

Time passed. The Going Merry had left the island half a day earlier. Night fell, stars studded the sky, and moonlight shimmered on the calm sea.

On deck, the crew gathered, eating roasted meat and drinking wine. Laughter echoed as they enjoyed a rare moment of peace.

But amidst the merriment, the poisonous insect continued its silent crawl toward Nami's room, undeterred.

At last, everyone finished eating, played around for a while, and went to bed. The deck lights went out, leaving only the moonlight and the sound of waves.
