Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: A Very Practical Protagonist

"Saeko, I'm coming over to your place. Get ready."

"Alright, everything's set. Come on, Kevin."

Kevin Cross pressed the teleport button. In the next moment, his surroundings blurred as he crossed into another world the world of Highschool of the Dead.

The instant Kevin opened his eyes, he was met by a pair of strikingly beautiful eyes gazing directly at him. They were not only large and clear, but framed perfectly by the face they belonged to.

This was the face of a stunning beauty. Her features were sharp and symmetrical, with a delicate, porcelain complexion that looked soft to the touch. Her skin was flawless, not a single blemish or even the faintest trace of a pore.

There was no mistaking it. She was breathtaking.

"Kevin?" Saeko Busujima looked at him, a flicker of awe flashing through her eyes. He was, in a word, gorgeous. She'd seen the photos he posted in the chat group before, and had already thought he looked incredibly handsome. But now, seeing him in person, she realized those pictures hadn't done him justice. They'd made him look... average in comparison. It was like his looks defied photography. He was as handsome as the author himself!

Needless to say, Saeko felt no discomfort around Kevin at all. In fact, she found the idea of becoming his girlfriend quite appealing. He wasn't just good-looking he could make her stronger, even take her to other worlds she'd never imagined. The possibilities were exhilarating.

"Yo, Saeko! Finally, we meet in person. And just as I thought you're even more gorgeous than in the anime." Kevin's eyes wandered slightly downward. "And yeah... the whole 'jiggle to dodge bullets' thing? Definitely not a myth."

Saeko didn't shy away from his gaze. On the contrary, she straightened her back slightly, subtly emphasizing her figure. "Nice to meet you, Kevin. From this moment on, I'm placing my future in your hands."

"Don't worry. I'll take good care of you. By the way, do you have a map of this area? I need to get to a bank and withdraw some cash."

Saeko's smile froze.

She had just pledged her life to him. She'd offered her heart, her trust, her body... and the first thing out of his mouth was a request for directions?

"Wait... you don't have one? That might make things trickier. But it's fine. Just a little more work, that's all," Kevin continued, seemingly oblivious to the subtext in the room.

Saeko couldn't take it anymore. She reached out and grabbed his hand.

"Kevin, don't you think there are... other things we should do before heading to the bank?"

"Other things? Oh, you mean greet your companions?" Kevin blinked innocently.

Saeko sighed, a wry smile curving her lips. "So Kevin didn't have a girlfriend before he got into the chat group, right?"

"Uh..."

"You probably didn't talk to many girls either, huh?"

"Well, that was then. Now I've got the chat group. And a girlfriend. Actually, more than one," he said proudly. The past was dead and buried. The only thing that mattered was the present.

"So," Saeko said, guiding his hand to her chest, "your girlfriend is right in front of you. You could do whatever you want. But instead... you're going to a bank?"

Feeling the weight and softness in his hand, and meeting Saeko's brilliant, unblinking eyes, Kevin finally got the message.

The truth was, Kevin wasn't in a rush. He already had someone: Izumi Uchiha. So he didn't feel desperate. He'd thought things with Saeko could develop naturally start with conversation, build a connection, then see where things went.

It's often the case that guys who haven't had much experience with women are the most cautious. Unlike the so-called "players" who dive in headfirst, Kevin had wanted to take it slow. But Saeko was leaving no room for misunderstanding. She didn't want to wait. She wanted to make their bond real, and then build intimacy afterward.

So be it.

The next moments were a blur of passion and radiance. Light filled the room if not from above, then from within. The air echoed with muffled gasps and feverish whispers.

When it was over, Saeko lay atop Kevin, spent and breathless.

Though it had been her first time, she'd taken the lead with surprising confidence. She even preferred being on top, claiming control with every motion. Despite her years of kendo training and excellent stamina, it was her first experience, and coordination didn't come easily. The physical effort, paired with her fierce enthusiasm, left her utterly exhausted.

But when her strength returned, she realized something incredible.

Her body felt transformed stronger, faster, more precise. Her stamina had increased, her senses sharpened. Even her grasp of swordsmanship had leapt forward in a single bound.

Saeko believed that if she fought her former self, she could cut her down in a matter of seconds. While claiming she could defeat ten of her old selves at once might be a stretch, the power surge she felt was undeniable.

She suspected she had ascended to the level of a Sword Saint a mythical rank spoken of only in legends.

If she returned to the school now, she was certain she could single-handedly cut down every last zombie without suffering a scratch.

Her feelings for Kevin only intensified.

He wasn't just handsome. He was miraculous. Not only had he brought her pleasure he had made her stronger. So much stronger.

Love might be too strong a word, but Saeko's affection for Kevin was quickly reaching its limit.

And as her heart brimmed with warmth, something new sparked in her mind.

A new option had appeared, as if etched into her thoughts: the power to cultivate energy from another world.

Specifically, she could now manifest a seed of chakra.

Chakra something that didn't even exist in her world. A force belonging to the Naruto universe. But because of the connection she'd formed with Kevin because she had given him her whole self she could now plant the seed of a new destiny.
