Chapter 14 - 14

Starwick

"Hey." I called out after her. She ignored me, evidently angry. She continued walking away to where I had no idea. She sprinted down the flight of stairs. When she reached the first landing, I grabbed her wrist. "Leave me alone!" she yelled at me, yanking her wrist out of my grip. "Don't touch me!" she added. I got angry.

Without thinking, I wrapped my fingers around her neck and pinned her to the wall slowly tightening my grip around her slender neck. "I can get rid of you in seconds." I growled. "Darling,... so can I." she shot back. My eyes travelled down to her hands. She was slowly slipping the ring off her finger. I glared at her for a while, then let her go.

Her hands travelled up her neck, gently caressing the spots I just bruised. "Don't treat me like that." she said. "Don't talk to me like that." I resorted immediately, almost interrupting her. I let my eyes fall on her neck. I could see my finger marks on her skin. I did this to her. I hurt her.

I slowly walked closer to her, bridging the space between us. I pulled her hand away from her neck and placed my hand on the nape of her neck, gently caressing the bruise. "I'm sorry." I whispered, gazing deep into her light brown eyes. A small smile made it's way to her lips. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of that.

She signed, "I'm also sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that." An announcement came through the speakers. It was the principal speaking. "Today, school has been cancelled due to a terrible causality that took place this morning in the teachers' lounge. All students are to return home immediately. Final year students, your excursion still holds. Thankfully, your teacher was spared from the mayhem. Meet with her at the school parking lot within 30 minutes. Thank you."

"Guess we aren't heading home yet." Livana said. "I guess so. Where's the excursion at?" I asked. "Well,... from what I think I heard while not paying attention in class,... we should be heading to a chemical plant." "I'm having a nice idea. This should be fun." she smirked. "If I wasn't a demon, I'd stay 2 leagues away from you." I joked, letting her go.

I started heading down the stairs. She stared at me as if she just saw a ghost. "Are you kidding me!" she yelled. I could sense her hands where in the air behind me. "You asked me to do this!" "I know. If you accomplish this, I do advice you,... get psychiatric help. You need it. You're crazy." "Boy you haven't seen anything." she said making me turn back to her. "You already think I'm crazy and the show hasn't started." she smirked. "There's a lot more coming."

We made our way to the parking lot. The whole set was already seated in the bus, she was the last to climb in. "You're late." her teacher complained. "I don't care." she responded walking to the back row of the bus, that being the only available space for her.
