So, after that horrible night, I woke up almost mid day and decided to go look for Bàrg, the guard from the day before. But when I went downstairs, I just saw Lancelot, the brother of the landlady , not the king, and Caryn giving each other hickeys... Normally like that, in the bar part of the hall.
Since the inn wasn't really the favourite of the town, it was obviously empty.
So, I just walked through the hall, ignoring them as they did the same.
Hits his hip against a table.
I arrived outside, and started looking for the guard.
*member of the crowd: Wait, where was my sweet Forsaken?*
I didn't bring him with me. It was my side quest, not his.
So, when looking for Bàrg, I just remembered he worked only the afternoon till night... No, till morning. It doesn't make sense till night. Nevermind.
I had to pass time. So I went to explore.
When I tried to walk for a few meters, I heard "Sir! Sir! Freeze! "... It was the police."What did I do again? " Was the only thing on my mind. The guard, a short and obese man said "You don't seem to be from here. Can I see your identification plate ? ", I was confused. Immigration? In a medieval world? Come on. Another world and these things exist here too?
I just told him I didn't have any and didn't know I needed one. So he escorted me to the castle with two of his colleagues.
The castle was impressively beautiful with mosaics on every window, I would say sixty meters wide and forty meters tall. It was in a deep shade of blue.
The proportions are pretty much accurate this time, even if a few things are missing. Aside from that, nothing to add.
The mosaics were of kings and queens holding swords. There was a beautiful garden with particular spaces for each flower color shades.
Many guards surrounding three doors.
There's a story about these three doors. It is said to be built thousands of years ago, each opening up to a kingdom of the... I-won't-say-the-same Empire. This kingdom being the lastly incorporated as I said prior, it adapted to the others.
By the way, the thousands years statement is a lie. It is more of nine hundred fifty years ago. It is still quite old for humans.
The guards all had a blue flower in their hair and what seemed like a hand painted blue flower on their armors, on the heart side. I wonder what was the kingdom's symbol and representative color...
Ahem.. so, the guard brought me inside, and there was a part of the castle dedicated to immigration. When it was my turn, I was put in front of a woman. A very, very bitchy woman. I regret not slapping her in the face.
*member of the crowd: So you hit women? That's disgusting.*
You haven't even got a glimpse of what I'm able to do. But honestly, if I tell you how she treated me, you would want to slap her too, as a woman yourself.
You see, I arrived and said Hello. She immediately responded "Name." What a way to greet.
I said "Void ", and she stared me dead in the eyes and said "Real names. Fake names bring you to prisonn."
Tsk.
But I was patient. I said "It is my real name." and she side eyed me. She said "Place of birth ", and I reflected for a few seconds. I wasn't born in that world after all. And she said "If you don't intend to respond, ask for the next to come."
I was still patient. So I said "Anza Village," and she almost chuckled.
She asked for my parents' names after. I told her and she finished engraving everything and gave me my plate, without a word, without even looking at me. She then left.
*member of the crowd: Okay, maybe you were right. Personally I would have pulled her hair after the greeting*
Ahaha. Yeah.
So, I ended up wasting quite some time there, since I had to wait for that royal treatment.
I went back to the inn to eat, talked with Forsaken and it eventually was time to go to the guard.
Lost so much time to say nothing. Do not worry, the interesting part is now beginning. Trust me.
I went downstairs and saw Caryn sitting behind the counter.
I was ready to ignore again but she asked "Are we still friends? "...
No, I don't think you quite got it.
After all this crap, she asked me "Are we still friends? ". I still don't know if she was clueless or just trying to make me crash out.
I looked at her and said nothing.
And I left.
I wasn't angry. It was more about disappointment and frustration.
Not to try to ruin the mood or destroy the weight of his words but Caryn started laughing when he left. Not because she was evil, but because he hit his hip against a table, AGAIN. Really embarrassing, I would have erased the witnesses if it was me.
Also, it wasn't that when I said " Interesting part".
