Chapter 32 - ARRIVAL ON TAVIRA ISLAND!!

"boss… Boss… BOSS!!" The sound of one of Otto's men got louder as Damion got up next to Alloy.

"Damn… I fell asleep." He mumbled. "Alloy…" he nudged her before another interruption.

"BOSS!!"

"I'M UP!! WHAT IS IT??!!" Otto shouted as he also held his head and woke up.

"I can see the island!!" The man announced.

"An island??!! Are we here??!! Where is it??!! Show meeeee!!!!" Alloy was up, and already ecstatic about her next trip. She ran to the front of the bow, next to the man with the binoculars and yanked them from him to look. She did see a large mass of land, but they weren't close enough to view more, so she just witnessed a blur of what was to come and returned to Damion with a smile on her face.

"You're excited… we might die you know…"

"We could've died yesterday, that fish was delicious!! Lighten up Damion!! Our adventure begins right after we're done here!!" Alloy reassured him on the same, it also helped him remember that his new friend also has a reason to set out to sea… but unfortunately, her exact reasons would have to wait until their promise was fulfilled. The two were then brought some food to eat, just like the other people on the ship. Given, the hospitality was temporary due to the fear and the zero chance they had of defeating the two. Otto couldn't do anything as well. His wounds were still fresh and his bandages bled through quite a bit, however, he was a person who knew when he lost, so he didn't bother them at all.

"You guys have food today??!! How??" Damion asked.

"Well… the sea monster she brought was decapitated…" Brett began. "The head landed on the complete back of the ship."

"Really?? I see…" Alloy replied. They ate for a bit and enjoyed the crashing waves against the ship, how the sea surface reflected every bit of the sun's rays and the sound of the wind blowing through them all. The enjoyment of the feeling, at least from Otto's crew, was completely turned when a com-crystal began heating up. They felt the pulsing of energy from it and knew exactly who it was.

"Boss!!" Brett shouted.

"Give it here." He held out his right arm and was given the crystal only to hear a dark and booming voice from the other end.

"Is he with you??" The man spoke as Otto faced Damion. He was closely listening to the conversation.

"IS THAT YOUR BRO…" Alloy began before her mouth was shut by Damion's hand. "No… he wasn't at the swamp." Otto answered. Glaring at Alloy in the process.

"What do you mean he wasn't there??"

"I mean, we went and checked. But the only body we found were those that had been there before. There was no sign of the guy you said would be there."

The crystal dimmed, the call was over.

"There, I'm in the clear now, and you can do as you wish once we get there. We will land next to a town called Nakka. I doubt he's there though, but you can begin looking there."

"Who was that?? The person who called…" Damion asked.

"That was Maki. His right hand man. He never lets anyone speak or interact directly with Spire, sometimes literally."

"Okay then…" He finished as he felt someone slap his arm. Looking back, he still held Alloy's mouth shut and she was struggling to let go, let alone breathe.

"Oh!! Sorry!! Sorry!!" He quickly removed his hand and Alloy took a massive breath of air before she spoke.

"I might've died earlier than you said we would!!" She took the final breaths to stabilize herself. From then on, it wasn't long before they arrived.

"TAVIRA ISLAND!! We are here!!" Alloy announced.

"We're leaving here," Damion began. "From here, we are enemies. We won't hold back next time."

"Good riddance to you brats." Otto struggled to stand as he said his farewells.

"BYE OTTO!! BYE BRETT!! SORRY ABOUT YOUR TRAITOR!! THANKS FOR THE RIDE!!!!" She waved with both her hands as Damion watched her with a bead of sweat dropping on his face one thought went through his mind.

'That's not how enemies say farewell…'

"SET SAIL!!" Otto demanded. And that was their goodbye.

The two didn't change a thing about their appearances and were still filled with torn patches in their clothes, bits of muck from the swamp, salty seawater from Alloy's big catch, and now… the dusty wind blew as sand particles began sticking on their clothes. Alloy had began walking when Damion showed her a board sign that was written in bold letters.

NAKKA TOWN AHEAD

"Let's begin there…" He said. "Its where Otto just said we were landing."

"Yeah, let's go…" Alloy answered. "Maybe we'll find a place to get new clothes, these ones are sticky and dirty now…"

"You notice that now??!!"

"Maybe…" she looked away.

They began walking, and they weren't far from the nearest large patch of grass that had a straight path to the town. The path was purely dirt roads that could definitely turn muddy if in any case, it rained. They both kept walking, Alloy's spirit of adventure burned bright, she kept looking around and stumbled upon quite a few things, kids playing in a river not so far away, she could see what looked like distant hills from afar, and eventually, both her and Damion would see the small town. They had arrived at Nakka Town.

"We made it!!" Alloy shouted.

"We've walked for only twenty minutes…" Damion added. She looked back at him. Her smile still plastered on her.

"So… tell me." She said.

"Tell you… what??"

"What to do, of course!! I'm not yet your captain, so there's nothing I can do until we finish off your brother!! So… tell me what we do first!!"

"Oh…" he noticed how selfless her statement was… and he got distracted for a moment until she brought him back.

"Damion??"

"Yeah??"

"Talk to me…"

"We need to get information on Spire… but, there's something I didn't tell you…"

"Huh?? What is it??"

"Spire… he has my parents…"
