Chapter 12 - Pa pa is a famous star (12)

"I can't go with you. I've already told you everything you must pay attention to in the show. I can't disclose the content, but the rundown has been sent to your inbox—you've looked through it. This is your first time participating in a show like this. I heard from the director that there'll be surprises that haven't occurred in other shows, so you need to be extra careful. And most importantly, don't forget to take good care of Joshua!"

Ariana had repeated these words countless times since Adonis began preparing for departure. Adonis always felt that what she wanted to say was the last part. Obviously, she couldn't feel at ease leaving Joshua in his care.

Adonis couldn't help but smirk mockingly. "I've been the one taking care of Joshua all this time. Just look at that round little face of his. Stop repeating the same nonsense."

Usually, whenever he filmed, Ariana never talked this much.

Her attention to Joshua was no joke—and that made sense. His Joshua was just that adorable. It was only natural that people around him would be drawn to love him.

Still, what pleased Adonis the most was that no matter how much others adored Joshua, in Joshua's heart, pa pa was always the best!

Ariana looked at Adonis, at a loss for words, then turned her gaze to Joshua. Her expression instantly softened.

She stepped forward and gently tapped Joshua's cheek with her fingertip. "Have fun, okay Joshua?"

Joshua immediately clasped her finger with his small hands and nodded thoughtfully. "Don't worry, Auntie. Joshua will protect pa pa!"

Adonis couldn't even understand why Joshua was always obsessed with protecting pa pa. He was the adult here. But, well, kids' thoughts were always puzzling—maybe Joshua had accidentally watched some superhero movie.

At that moment, Joshua thought: In the story, Ariana always helped pa pa to the end. She's a good person. So Joshua doesn't dislike her.

Ariana felt the soft warmth in her hand and looked down at the tiny, serious face before her. She couldn't help but laugh and nodded. "Joshua is the best."

Joshua beamed instantly and happily rubbed his cheek against Ariana's hand.

Ariana's hand froze slightly. She held back the urge to squish this little one's cheeks.

"Baby." Just then, Adonis suddenly spoke up. Joshua naturally let go of Ariana, buried his head into Adonis's chest, and fluently declared, "Joshua loves pa pa the most."

Only then did Adonis smile in satisfaction, his eyes narrowing contentedly. He turned to Rowan, standing nearby, and said, "Let's go."

Ariana was left behind. She gave a cold huff, silently grumbling that Adonis was too childish.

Outside Adonis's villa, the production team's car had already been waiting. Rowan didn't have much of a role—after helping the team load Adonis's luggage, he would head off.

Joshua looked at Rowan and waved his tiny hand. "Bye-bye, Uncle Rowan! I'll buy you a present when I get back!"

Rowan pressed his lips together, seeming a little awkward. He nodded. "I'll be waiting. Have fun, Joshua."

Once the car drove off, Rowan couldn't help clutch his chest. His slightly chubby body wobbled a bit.

Aghhhh, when am I going to have a child?! I need a little one to say goodbye to me every day when I go to work!

In the car, Joshua sat beside his pa pa, holding tightly onto his hand, eyes full of curiosity as he stared at the large camera in front of him.

At that moment, neither knew—the viewers were already going wild over their appearance!

[I knew Adonis would appear at the end of the episode!]

[The little one's name is Joshua, right? Why is even his name so adorable?!]

[Still can't believe Adonis has a kid now…]

[Accept the truth, girls.]

[Superstars do raise superstars—look at that baby's face, which is not ordinary.]

[My baby is sitting next to that man… oh my god, baby uchuchuchu moah moah moah]

[Just now, when the little one smiled at Rowan—so cute! Two tiny fangs, eyes squinting a bit, ha ha ha, he's a kitten.]

[Look at the camera, baby! Look at the camera!!!]

The little boy didn't seem afraid of the strangers in the car. He didn't cry or fuss or show any signs of discomfort. Compared to the kids they'd dealt with before, he was way easier to handle.

A soft smile appeared on the crew members' faces before one of them finally spoke to Adonis:

"Mr. Adonis, our show will be using a simultaneous live broadcast format, post-editing, and scheduled release. The livestream started from the moment you met the crew. Now, we'll be answering some questions from fans. There are already a lot of viewers in the livestream room—and the number keeps rising. Your popularity is truly undeniable!"

It was also the production team's first time working with a top-tier celebrity like Adonis, and their speech carried a certain careful nervousness. Watching the skyrocketing viewership numbers, they figured the director must be laughing himself silly in the control room by now. They needed to treat Adonis even more cautiously!

Adonis couldn't help being surprised—this was also his first time hearing about such a broadcast format.

On the other hand, Joshua reacted immediately—because Leo had already told him!

Joshua smiled brightly at the camera, waved his tiny hand, then turned to his pa pa, curiosity written all over his face.

"All of pa pa's fans are inside this thing?"

He still didn't fully understand the strange human world and couldn't quite grasp how so many people could fit inside this bizarre object.

Joshua furrowed his brows slightly, a little worried.

"Pa pa's fans… are they really that small?"

[Aaaaaa, the baby!!!]

[He is just a little kid, what a hilarious way of thinking hahaha]

[My nephew once cried and refused to take a photo because he thought the camera would suck him in and print him out ha ha ha]

The crew laughed out loud. Just as they were about to explain, Adonis beat them to it.

He patted Joshua's head and said gently, "They're watching us through their phones."

Then he took out his phone. "They can see us through this."

"Look, so many people are saying how cute and well-behaved Joshua is."

The crew smiled and held up a phone in front of the little one, only to realize they were probably wasting effort—after all, Joshua couldn't read yet.

But just then, Joshua suddenly looked up at Adonis, slightly puzzled, and asked:

"Why do pa pa's fans have such weird names?"

Adonis's expression froze for a moment. The crew went quiet. Even the nonstop stream of comments on the phone's screen paused briefly at Joshua's question—before instantly spiraling into chaos.

[Hahahahaha, why did everyone suddenly go quiet hahahahaha]

[There's no way little Joshua can read my username!]

[Not sure if I should feel embarrassed or proud that my idol's son is so bright… wait, can he already read?!]

[I noticed that, too! Isn't that a little too smart?]

The comments only paused momentarily before continuing to flood in, but now all usernames were replaced with asterisks.

The crew looked a little awkward as they turned to Adonis, quickly saying,

"Now, let's pick out a few questions from the comment section to answer!"
