"It's so hot."
As the temperature rose higher and higher, Caesar collapsed on the recliner. Can you believe it? It was almost the end of December, and the temperature here was still above 40 degrees.
"It's almost here."
Master Makarov, wearing a beach suit, looked at Caesar, who was only wearing a pair of shorts, and said, "Why aren't you asleep this time?"
"It's so hot, how can I sleep?"
Caesar complained, took out Hyorinmaru and froze a piece of ice to cool down. Only then did he feel slightly better.
"Master, we're going to worship the first guild master Mavis, right?"
Caesar looked at Makarov and asked, "What's the purpose of this ceremony?"
Makarov stopped fanning himself. He looked at Caesar and sighed, "This ceremony has always been a tradition, but I have a different expectation for you."
"Me?"
Caesar was stunned. Then he sat up straight and said, "Take Over Magic: Heroic Spirit!"
"Not stupid."
Makarov glanced at Caesar and continued fanning himself. "If you can truly use Heroic Spirit forms, then the first master shouldn't be unwilling to lend you her power."
Caesar sat there quietly for a while before smiling bitterly. He didn't say anything.
Because he knew very well that his Take Over magic could only integrate card-based powers, and no other types.
Besides, Mavis wasn't actually dead. Even if he could receive Heroic Spirits, where would Mavis go to switch into one for him?
But Makarov didn't know that!
Although he knew Mavis's body was buried beneath the guild, he had long assumed she was dead. So naturally, he didn't know the truth.
Caesar couldn't say anything either. Otherwise, how could he explain how he knew?
As for Tenrou Island, Caesar had another reason for wanting to go.
His goal: the tombstone that held Mavis's will and the two powerful magics hidden within it.
One was the absolute offensive magic: Fairy Glitter.
The other was the absolute defensive magic: Fairy Sphere.
Caesar wanted to study Fairy Sphere.
Although Fairy Glitter had incredible destructive power, Caesar already had many powerful attack cards and didn't lack offensive options.
Fairy Sphere, on the other hand, was different.
It condensed the collective will of the guild into magical energy, forming an impenetrable barrier that could freeze time within it.
That magic wasn't just defensive—it involved time manipulation.
Remember, Ultear used her full strength to rewind time by only one minute.
Yet Fairy Sphere could seal time for seven years!
It even required Mavis herself to undo the spell. Otherwise, the seal would have lasted even longer!
Caesar wanted to understand it. Not only would it allow him to break the seal if he ever needed it to resist the black dragon's assault, but he also wondered if he could adapt its principles.
For example, the ability to transform the power of hope into magical energy. If he could master that, maybe it would solve his current problem of limited magic reserves.
That was Caesar's biggest limitation.
If he truly had a vast reserve of magic, then with his arsenal of cards, his power would become terrifying.
Forget anything else—Jiro's full release, Escanor's blazing noon heart, Super Saiyan transformation, and Saitama's explosive strength.
Just combining these four, especially Saitama's serious punch, made Caesar worry whether the planet could even survive.
But it was only an idea. Realistically, Caesar couldn't sustain such a form. Even if he developed a second magic source, it might still be drained in moments.
Still, Caesar remained hopeful. If he advanced to a red card and awakened a second source, maybe that would be enough.
His expectations weren't even that high. The destructive power of this hypothetical fusion, even for a single second, would be unimaginable!
"We're here!"
Just as Caesar was lost in thought, Makarov's voice snapped him out of it.
The ship had reached a seemingly blank stretch of ocean. Caesar was confused—where was Tenrou Island?
Then, the scenery changed. A mysterious island suddenly appeared before them.
"Tenrou Island is protected by a unique barrier. Under normal conditions, no one can see it."
Makarov explained, "Only Fairy Tail wizards can see this place and land on this sacred ground of the guild."
Caesar nodded and followed Makarov off the boat. The moment he stepped onto the island, he was surrounded by intense magical energy.
He flicked the pendant around his neck, and soon it filled with magic.
"This place is incredible."
Caesar took a deep breath. "The magic is so rich, I feel like I could squeeze out an extra second of my peak form!"
"Follow me."
Makarov gestured for him to come along. Caesar nodded and walked behind him. After passing through a dense forest full of unusual creatures, the pair finally arrived at Mavis's tombstone.
Makarov clasped his hands, closed his eyes, and bowed.
When he opened them again to tell Caesar some guidelines, he found Caesar crouching beside the tombstone, pulling out all sorts of expensive-looking desserts and laying them in front of it.
"What are you doing?"
Makarov was completely thrown off by Caesar's bizarre actions.
"Mavis is a girl, right? Girls usually don't turn down sweets."
Caesar arranged the offerings carefully and then bowed toward the tombstone like Makarov. "We're here to ask for the first master's help. Of course we should offer something nice."
Makarov sighed with a bitter smile. "If this actually works, I'll eat every one of those."
Still, this was Caesar's heartfelt tribute, so he didn't complain.
However, after the offering, Makarov glanced at the ice-cold sundae. In this blistering weather, it looked incredibly tempting. Surely the first master wouldn't blame him, right?
Besides, if he didn't eat it now, it would melt and be wasted!
Thinking this way, Makarov reached out, ready to grab the sundae.
But just then, a small white hand appeared from nowhere and slapped Makarov's hand away.
Then, as quick as lightning, the sundae vanished—snatched by that little hand.
Makarov: ????
