I walked out of the cave only to find the monkey struggling to make a fire.
It's long tail moved angrily in the sir at every failed attempt and her couldn't stop myself from chuckling.
It turned to me..
"You are awake.." it rushed up to me with a big banana.
"Here, I got this from a tree over there.." watching it speak make me realize that I still had someone who cared, someone I could still talk to when I was done.
And that made me feel some relief a little..
"When do we return to Cridwan, captain?" It asked as it watched me din on the banana.
"Captain?" I laughed awkwardly.
Sometimes I thought that Liam had just changed into this monkey, but then I couldn't see any reason why he would prefer to be a monkey.
"You are the captain I have now." It smiled.
"We'll head there soon, I just need to think of my next strategy and we might visit the demons soon." I watched the monkey for it's reaction.
"The demons?" Just like I expected, it looked so frightened.
"I just figured that if he really is what the old witch said he is then that means that he might have come back to take revenge on the werewolves. And to do that he would have to get with the worst enemies of the werewolves. Which we both know ate the demons basically." I explained.
The monkey nodded and replied. "But you know to get into the demon's realm you will need to be in demon form to stand the heat alone, talk less of the frightening glances they all have." This was why I always felt sense in what the monkey said.
It was just so logical…
"You are right..but what about you?" My question was clear. I was wondering what he could turn to, to convince the demons that we are one of them so we could in turn search for Liam.
"Me? Don't you worry about me." It giggled. "I'll be right here." It placed its hand on my crystal necklace – the one given to me by Liam..
This made me think hard for any clues of it being Liam.
"In my crystal?" I asked.
"Yes, don't you know what it is? That's how I found you." It moved up to a tree to get the coconut on it and threw it flat on the floor making it break into two.
"You like coconuts?" It asked as it rested on the tree with its tail looking down down at me with both of its hand on its cheeks.
"Yes, I do." We picked up the broken coconuts and soon we were done with every part of it.
"Now can we head to Cridwan. I feel like we should go real soon." The monkey's face turned slightly dark, like always when something unpleasant was about to happen.
"Okay." I stood up immediately and changed into my wolf self, then the monkey climbed on me and we rushed down the mountain on our way to Cridwan.
"Let's stop by the cave." It said as it sat at my back.
"Okay." I raced towards the cave.
When we got there, I didn't real the breath of any soul like I used to before and I began to panic.
"Do you feel it?" I turned towrads the monkey. It shook its head and my body turned paler.
We walked in..
Our jaw dropped on the reality…
The hostage…
He was gone…
With no trace or clue..
"Alden found out.." I said and firm voice echoed in the cave.
I turned around sharply and got on my claws towards Cridwan with the monkey still on my back.
"I guess that was what the spirits were trying to tell me." It said and held tightly onto me.
"Whatever really happened, I'll always know one thing..Alden did it!"
Since we were little, I, Liam, and Alden. Alden had always hated to see I and Liam together and when he found out we were mated he. So wanted to kill Liam as he had two things he so badly wanted – I, and the title..
My whole life I had always known that Alden wanted me as his Luna, but since I was mated to Liam and never had anything for Alden, I never bothered to tell him that it wouldn't work.
But now..it had brought about a big problem.
His selfishness and stupidity has brought Cridwan's downfall..with the rightful leader gone.
I ran as fast as I couldn't impatiently waiting to see his stupid face and maybe step on it.
As soon as we arrived at Cridwan, I rushed towards his chambers without waiting to hear a 'hi' from anyone.
"Halt..not with the monkey." His guards said as if he was already waiting patiently for me.
"I'll be here " it once again touched my crystal.
I nodded and walked i, then I sighted the speak of the devil with two demon ladies beside him.
That was basically another abomination in Cridwan. Meaning that he had already broken many rules stated by the elders long ago.
"Mira…" he stupidly called my name like a little boy finally seeing his mother after many years.
"Out!" He ordered the two ladies harshly.
The two of them sent me deadly glances but I didn't bother as I wasn't here for them.
"Mira, come sit." He said as soon as the ladies were out.
"I'm fine here." I frowned deeply.
"Uh.. Mira, you have always hated me haven't you?" he asked and I felt the urge to nod because it was true.
"But..I have always loved you." His next words got me choking.
This was the same idiot I met just a minute ago with two ladies each on his sides.
He walked up to me and tried to hold my hands.
"Don't you dare touch me, Alden. This is not going to end funny if you don't stop this now. All of it." I nearly cried out.
He sighted my tears and he seemed to soften his gaze a little. "I'm just being who I am, Mira. I'm indeed despicable." He replied after a while of silence.
"I hate you for that, Alden." I rushed out of his chambers and the monkey was just by a corner waiting.
"Let's go." It hurried on my back and we rode off as fast as we could.
If only he knew the gravity of what he was doing maybe he won't have so much stupidity in him.
