I withdrew the moment I saw them beginning to set up camp and a group of scouts moving towards the forest. Calling Adam, I jumped on his back and made haste back to base camp. We were ten miles in, so the odds of the scouts coming in that far were low. They would be more worried about the immediate threat and wouldn't do a deep dive into the forest unless they felt it was needed. As Adam stopped, I jumped off him and landed on the ground. 'Change of plans, the siege weapons turned out to be Earth Dragons, five of them. I want you ladies to focus on the army, I will deal with the Earth Dragons.' I said, which shocked the women. 'Earth Dragons are high-level Rare monsters. It would take all of Red Rose to handle one. Are you sure you can handle five, Jacob.' Victoria asked with concern.
'I feel I can kill two or three, but after that, I will most likely lose a lot of my Dinos. I know this fight may cost a good bit of my forces, but we can't let five Earth Dragons near the city. At best, right now, we need to inflict as much damage on the Earth Dragons to warrant the army retreating to their empire for now. This way, the count can work something out with the other nobles, as we will need more help defending the city.' I said. I hope I can take down at least four. Even if I lose most of the Spinos and T-Rexes, it will take them longer to get more Earth Dragons than it will for me to get more dinosaurs. I thought to myself.
Looking at my points, I had enough to mature ten T-rex and five Spinos. Increasing the numbers to 22 Spinos and 22 T-Rexes, I didn't have any more points to create more Utahraptors or Tri's, but for now, that will have to do. As I readyed myself for tonight and the women prepared for it mentally we didn't talk much as it was already two in the afternoon in five hours will be the fight of our life as I sat on the ground eating my food looking at the numbers I have 60 Utahraptors, 22 Spinos, 12 Tri's, and 22 T-rexs. I wished I had eight more Tri's as those guys are good tanks, the Stegos aren't even close to hatching so the best I can do is hope that the low level Spinos and T-rexs can play the part of fodder as I don't know how their flesh will hold up to the Earth Dragons Earth element magic. The Earth T-rex should be able to handle it somewhat, but the Fire ones may not.
'Jacob, it's about time.' Victoria said as I looked up, seeing it starting to get darker. I was lost in thought for a long time, I guess, as we stood up and I looked at them. 'Girls stick close to each other, and if things get too hard, I will call for your retreat. I will meet up with you here if that happens.' I said as we mounted and slowly made our way through the forest until my Utahraptors picked up the smell of humans and knew that there were scouts nearby. As I jumped off, I told them to wait here, and I moved through the forest until I came across three men just chilling near a tree. 'What's the point of scouting, with the Earth Dragons, Guel is good as ours.' A man said, making the other two shrug.
'The Princess is overly worried; she should worry about the general lusting after her. Given a chance he would rape her if he could.' Said another man, making them laugh. 'If I were given the chance I would do the same, until that overly noble woman becomes the mother of my child and a cock loving whore.' Said the last one as the three of them started to burst out in laughter, only to become quiet the moment my arrows pierced their heads, killing them as I walked over, pulling the arrows out of their heads. 'So the Princess is heading the first wave, I wonder how strong she is.' I said, thinking that if she is here, then she at least knows how to fight.
Heading back to the girls and re-grouping with them, we made our way to the edge of the forest and waited while looking out. I could see tents and the five Earth Dragons resting close to the center as a thought crossed my mind. This works out for me, as I smiled. 'Girls, I will attack along with you as I spear through the formation. You girls stay near the outer area as I use the Earth Dragons to help inflict damage to the army.' I said. This was risky, as I would be surrounded, but with the girls being an issue, they would have to split their forces between us, the Utahraptors and Tri's, and the Spinos and T-rexes, making both sides a problem. That way, both our sides will only have to deal with around 50,000. As I waited for the sun to go down, I spoke. 'We attack and two hours after nightfall, that way they will have started to sleep.' I said.
We watched as some of the soldiers were drinking and living it up, their pride in the Earth Dragons making them lax, and that would prove fatal for them as they tried to fight, live, and die on the battlefield. Drunk is just asking to get killed. As time ticked by, it was time to attack. 'Okay, let's move out I said. The moment we left the forest, I summoned the rest of my Dinos, giving the commands for the Tri's to lead the charge and to open a path halfway inside the camp, sticking close to the women and helping them if they needed it. That was the same order I gave to the Utahraptors before I gave the Spinos and T-rexs the order to stick with me.
We began to move out slowly. It was a moonless night tonight, and that was a godsend as we made it three hundred meters before having to start to run. As we got closer to the light from the fire, the alarm only sounded when we were 150 meters away. The surprise attack worked as the Tri's ripped through the tents, stomping on sleeping men as we pushed deeper. The noise awoke the Earth Dragons, and the Tri's split open, letting my group and me push through. 'Fire T-Rexs attack!' I yelled, putting a rare-rank arrow in my new bow, coating it with metal and lighting element magic, firing it as I aimed at the nearest enraged Earth Dragon's Eye. It hit the mark, not doing much damage, only wounding its left eye. Making it unable to see out of it as Earth spikes shot out of the ground hitting two Earth dragons near it pissing them off.
The two Earth Dragons charged the one that hit them with earth spikes, slamming him into several tents with people trying to get dressed, killing them as the two Dragons bit the one-eyed dragon, making him more enraged as those three fought. I focused on the last two, ordering the Spinos and T-rexs to split into two groups with equal numbers, 11 Spinos and 11 T-rexs in each group. We started to attack them pushing them into another part of the camp as their big bodies stomped on men running around in panich as I aimed at the eyes of the Earth Dragons injuring one each helping the Spinos and T-rexs out as the side the attacked the blind side started to wear down the Earth Dragons pushing them into. Enraged state attacking with a wide range of Earth elemental magic as they cast it. 'Dodge!' I commanded while most of them were able to move, three weren't so lucky, being impaled.
I lost two female T-rex and a female spino, but those wide range earth magics did damage to both Earth Dragones and the army. I looked around, seeing maybe 3-4,000 dead from that, and the Earth Dragons wounded each other's legs, making their movements slower. Letting my Dinos finally bring them down, as I heard a roar from behind me, as the one-eyed one was finally killed by the other two. I checked on my girls and noticed Victoria facing down two people, a woman with a sword and shield, and a man with a sinister face. She and Eve were able to hold their own against them, telling me they were around A-rank.
The last two Earth Dragons had minor damage to their legs, but that was it, as I fired two arrows after ordering my Dinos to attack, but the moment the arrows got closer, two spears blocked them as they eyed me. 'Shit, they learned.' I said while I thought of retiring now.
